This is one of the best games I've ever played. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but there is an appeal to dogfighting and strafing ground targets. Some of the criticisms of this game are unfair; the missions, while scripted, are very loose; the stipulations are either "destroy the selected targets" or "collect
points". Beyond that you do what you will. The graphics are excellent, but bear in mind it is on a PS/2, let's not put things out of context. The explosions look find from 200 ft away, and you only see them up close in a replay. And only someone with a huge ego would watch a replay of himself instead of playing the mission. Lastly, the load times are barely noticeable. The controls are intuitive and the difficulty level seems just right.

this is a good game but is very simplified. First let me say it is not a flight sim, it is an arcade game, flight sims are much more complicated and require you to know how to fly that jet from head to toe. But this game includes my favourite jets, the F-14 Tomcat and Su-37 Terminator.Sweet!I do wish this game had a couple more missions though and less of those pesky SAMS! Here is some pros and cons
Cons: Replays contiously change from angle to angle and you never catch the action, VS. mode doenst have enough of a victory count you can only make 3 kills and its over, can only blow-up targets, civilian buildings are invincible, even when they are hit with napalm bombs,no all-around cockpit view, if AIM-9 Sidewinders were this inacuaratte God bless the Air fORCE
Pros: accurate flight models (heck i even went in the legendary Tomcat cockpit in Pensacola, looks right to me!}
Good graphics, nice sound

When I got this game, I thought it would be really fun, but it didn't meet my expectations. It was ok, but a bit too complicated. I had fun playing it, and I haven't gone very far in the game, but from what I've seen, it's a little bit boring, but fun. It does have good graphics, and I'm sure the 2 player dog fighting would be lots of fun, though I haven't tried it yet. ig2g

This has got to be the best fighter-plane game on the market! This is a must have game. Anyone who has played a fighter-plane game or who is a fan of fighters will love this game! And now to the pros and cons.The cons:There aren't many cons in this game. One is,when you get close to the ground, it lacks in detail. Another con is the background is so small it looks like when you compare your pilot to a tower,your pilot looks like he's 5 to 8 storys tall. The last con is that (Even though it's to your advantage,)you can have 52 to 78 missles, so it's not reality based in that catagory.Now the pros: The airplanes are very detalied, You can even use the right stick to see the sides and nose of you aircraft. You have three different views: aircraft, cockpit, and HUD lines.Each time you complete a mission, you can view a replay of what you did in different camera angles.And I love to play the 2-player mode with my best friend Joseph. You can have different paint schemes for each aircraft. My favorite part is you are awarded if you beat all 18 levels with an S ranking. But I'm don't want to give away the surprise! This game deserves a 5 star rating.

First off this game has some of the most eye-popping visuals I've ever seen in any game.
The gameplay remains unchanged , you still use most of the same buttons from past AC gamesThis is a must buy for any flight sim fan

AC04 is one of the reasons you bought a PS2! The graphics are beautiful. The control doesn't require a long learning curve. The game's difficulty settings range from very easy to very hard, allowing for a wide range of players who will find the game challenging but not a breeze. Replayability will be very good -- just bump up the difficulty level for different mission goals. The AI is top notch. The bogeys won't fall from the sky like flies, so you need to be ready for them to be ready for you!

I was hoping it would have huge improvements on PS2. The game plays just like the first, with better visuals. That is about it, for the money, you would be better off renting it. You could beat all the missions in a weekend.

What an awesome game! Great graphics and detail. Around 15 different jets and bomber. Easy to use controls and a variety of different challenges on every mission. A must buy for you flight sim junkies!

I don't play alot of plane games, but with the cool comrcails I couldn't resest. I'm going to join the navy when I'm old enough to fly F-14s, but for now I'm stickin' to the games for trianing. The graphics are great, game play isn't hard, you can buy planes and weapondry, basicly bombs for your plane which isn't hard to get. The game is alittle tough but once you beat the hard parts your find from there. The only thing I can't get by is the stuipid anime clips between missions, since anime has always been pritty stuipid. Over all this is a must have for all yu fighter jet goers out there.
