this game is one of the top games for the PS2. I got this game a week after it came out and I am still playing it. The textures on the planes are nice, and so it the ground, so long as you don't get too close to it. The ground textures get kinda blurry when you move in close to them, but you should be more worried about the enemy on your nose. The sound is great, the music accents the game nicely (wait until you hear the opera song). The controls are nice and easy and each of the 18 planes have a differnt feel to them. A must get game.

This is definentely the BEST Ace Combat game ever made. It is personally my favorite air combat game. The game itself is extremly exciting and intense. The new storyline is cool and it had great art, but it's rather corny. The planes are cool looking although there isnt much difference between the best aircraft and the worst aircraft. This game is by far better than the new Top Gun game.

I used to play a game called Chuck Yeager's Air Combat. The graphics stunk compared to this game, but now I know that the gameplay is what matters, because although the graphics on this game can be very nice, the game is very boring. The cut scenes are unbearable to watch or even skip through. The missions are too easy and not interesting enough. Your wingmen are completely useless, which is too bad because some of the missions where you basically have to bomb dozens of targets would be more interesting if you didn't have to bomb each and every one yourself.

Ace Combat 04 is the best game around. Take it from me Matt Boorse. I beat the game three times in a row shot down all Yellow Squadron members and almost got the F-2. Flying the aircraft is like really flying. Missions on land and in the sea make this game interesting. Play the role of a rookie pilot against Eurusia. Destroying giant missles and cannons you can't stop for anything. The missions get harder as you move on. Renact Desert Storm and protect the planet. This game is the best. Take it from me "The Ace".

This game is very fun. You'll love it the FIRST time you play it. But after you beat in an hour or two it can be pretty boring.

This game is great. It has a balance of action, gameplay, and graphics. Its just as goood as Top Gun: Combat Zones. If your going out to buy a flight-sim game get both this and Top Gun.

The graphics and controls are great while the audio really blows away any other flight game I've played. However, the game can be played through in a matter of hours and it does get rather repetitive bombing and bombing and bombing...

I highly recommend this game - for a weekend rental.

ACE COMBAT 4 is really a great game for people who are interested in flying. And even if your not interested this game will be fun anyway. The explosions really are phonomina. You can choose which view you want it to be in. Either, the pilot view, the cockpit view, or you can watch the plane as you fly. The best part is that you can quickly learn how to use the controlls. ACE COMBAT 4 really is the best game to have.

Its a cool game and all. Very realistic. The only problem is that it does not tell you your heading is. It also does not tell you the altitude of other aircraft on the radar. That would make it much much cooler. The cockpit view is nit all that great. I personally like the aircraft view and the targeting view. Other than these problems this game is awsome. The levels are awsome as well as the aircraft.
