Like everyone else is saying the controls are horrible. I wish they had kept the old control sytem. Using the analog is a major pain and once in a while you'll climb the ladder just by walking by it too close. I did experience slow down on the roof and my disc did stop once. Other than that and the controls the game is a lot of fun. Good story line and the puzzles make you think. If you're a TR fan I recommend picking it up. I'm under the Louvre right now and cant wait to leave work and go play some more.

This game is great, the graphics are great,interesting storyline. Lara is so different in this game, the controls are much smoother, I would highly recommend this game to anyone.

well first off to fans of the series its quite different. think tombraider 3 plus metal gear solid or something. the controls are also completely different and take some getting used to. right off the bat you may find navigating the escape from rooftops and navigating hte parisian ghetto difficult but once you get the controls down you're in business. i think that this game seems a bit less difficult that previous games so it probably wont take as long to complete though it is still a fun ride. new features in this game include the use of money, the rpg-esque character interaction, a new playable character and a host of new weapons, etc. another superb feature is the ability to save anywhere anytime (even onthe console platform versions)! the graphics are superb but sometimes the frame rate slows down a bit...its my opinion that this game is pushing the resources of hte ps2 to the limit. all in all its fun though you'll be surprised by the general feel of the game. its sort of dark in a way. if you like tomb raider you'll like this game, if you're new to the series you might want to rent it first to make sure its your thing.

this game is for people,who like traps and long tedious,boring puzzles.right from the start u will need the strategy guide.the enemies r all human, and u start out in the backstreets of paris.if u have a iq of 200 or more u will definately find this a challenge if not downright impossible to complete. maybe nextime they will get it right.

I was excited when I heard about this game and when I first played it I realized that this was a whole new experience than previous Tomb Raiders. The background is much better and the story is kinda cool. I liked the first two Tomb Raiders but thought the series was getting bland. This game rocks. The graphics are awesome. Get this game.

First of all, read the other reviews and then come to me. Yes, Angel of Darkness has some new stuff, but be warned that there will still be extremely hard puzzles, just like the games before. If you haven't read before, this game should contain a fair amount of blood. Be warned parents.

i have seen the game and have played the gemae thought it was excellent and great i hope that all you readers get it i found that the idea of the game was pants but the gameplay was fantastic so was the graphics

It looks like a really good game but I hate to be the saying this but Indiana Jones is going to blow lara away. And Indy is the orgianl Tomb Raider also remember Raiders of the lost ark?

i recently rented one of the PS1 versions of tomb raider and the controls were very hard to get used to and jumping was horrible. I just couldnt stand it. But this game will have a new control scheme, new moves, and it should be ten times better in everything that the PS1 had to offer since its a PS2 game, which still gives me hope for this overrated series of games.

The story line in conjunction with the levels, graphics and action was very good. It took a while to get through all levels but it was fun and challenging. The controls were different from the other Tomb Raider games (on the PS2). However, after a little while I got used to the controls and could work them well. I recommnd the game only if you have a lot of time because it can be addicting. I look forward to the next game in this series.
