From the graphics to the tracks to the cars, this game is the best thing you can buy with $... right now....this game has it all!!!.....A very deep deep simulation mode that will keep you playing for a very long time....many options to customize the cars in your garage and extremely challenging gameplay....I rented this game a couple of days ago and my friends came over....they thought I was watching a movie....Folks, the replay value alone on this game is a perfect reason to buy it....Trust me on this people....if you've ever driven a car or wanted to drive one......this game is for you....#1 hands down!!!!

Great Graphics Great Music Poor Handling

The game is great except for the handling. It's awful. It's nothing like the real thing at all except for the rally cars. Well I guess the handling is the same as GT2 but I didn't want to believe it.

This is the big daddy of all racing games. Best racing game ever made. Get it while you can, if you have a buddy or two, then you can link the playstation 2s and avoid the split screen. Tons of tracks, cars, and racing options.

+++++++++++++a must have for racing fans++++++++++++++++++++ I would give 6 out of 5 stars!

Right down to the soundtrack, gameplay is like driving the real thing - graphics are outstanding. I epecially like the SLKs reflective paint. Try the 'Music Vidio replay mode.

The game is soooooooooo sweet!!! The graphics kick. The soundtrack has awsome stars like Lenny Kravitz, Papa Roach, and rap superstar Snoop Dogg. The special effects also add to the very realistic gameplay(heat rising from street, shadows and overcast, and the way that the sun can sometimes be in ur eyes and then it will all of the sudden be blocked by a tall building. Another good atribute of GT3 is that you actually have to let of the gas and hit the brakes when turning corners. There are just two things that I dislike about the game. Your games are not automatically saved so if you forget to save, thats it. The other thing is the prices for parts and vehicles. It's not so bad once you get a really fast car and will a lot of races, then you have plenty. All-in-all this is a must buy game for PS2. It will deffinetly be a classic.

First....the pluses......I love the graphics. They look real and the game flows very nicely.....its not choppy or anything. Next, the touch sensitive controls really make driving this game from the control pad FUN!!!!!!! Lots of races and everything also add to the games fun.

now the bad.... I wish there were used cars on the game so that we could actually buy a decent car to start off with, they only give you 18000 to start.....and on this game it cant buy you anything good.....you need at least 25000....

The number of cars is above average but i would like to see a few more myself (the ones on here thought I swear LOOK REAL!!!!!!)

lastly....my biggest complaint......ONLY 2 DRIVING VIEWS....what happened to the 3rd one that was higher up and let you see everything clearly??????

oh well.......cant be perfect or there would be no need to have GT4 ;) Trust me though.....this game is VERY VERY VERY much worth buying........its fun......and i cant stop playing it......there are so many races and everything that its going to take a while to beat the game......but i cant wait for the challenge

GT3 is the first game I have seen that truly utilizies the power of the PS/2! The graphics and flow of this game is extremely incredible!! Of course, we are still very early in the PS/2 life cycle and more incredible games will follow - but out of the gate, this game totally rocks!!

For GT fans, this game is a MUST play! The most impressive items are the graphics around the car. During the race you can actually see the banners resting above the track wave in the wind. During some races the crowd consists of only a few people. The walls inside tunnels are incredibly real, to the point where you almost crash your car being stunned by the realism. (grin)

Then, watching the reply makes you feel like you are watching a movie or a fancy TV commercial. Very cool stuff to say the least.

If you love racing, you must get GT3 and of course a PS/2!! I can only imagine what the developers are working on for GT-IV!! Again, the standard for excellence has been raised and it was the folks behind Gran Turismo who accomplished this task!!

Simply the best

I just got this game and already i am stunned. The few faults it has are merely a matter of opinion. I see many complaints with the number of cars... personally i think they did the right thing in getting rid of many of the "econobox" cars that you have to slave through in the beginning. The biggest point i think i could make is that this isn't the most realistic simulator of any single type of racing. if you want better f1 racing, you have to buy an f1 game. if you want oval track racing, you'd be better off with a NASCAR game. however, if you're looking for the best combination of all walks of racing, GT3 is your game. the graphics, sound, control, gameplay, setup, depth, replayability, and especially the ease of starting compared to the difficulty it reaches makes this the absolute best game, racing or other, that you can buy... go get it now!

This is the best Racing game ever I got it the first day it was out and i've played it for probaly 14 in 2 days it's a real good game if you get this game i would recomend the GT Force sterring wheel it makes the game alot fun and the speakers that come with the wheel are awesome to.
