Racing games are about...racing. Don't expect much action with Gran Turismo 3 as you will be spending all your time trying to qualify or unlock tracks to race. The game is not fun because of all the requirements and things you have to do with menus and licenses before you can even race some of the levels. The game's one BIG plus are the graphics. You will be amazed at how smooth and well presented everything is.

GT3 has all the same tracks as the previous GTs. The interface is very confusing. I got lost in all the menus. The game was not clearly thought out as far as game play enjoyment. This is the only racing game that prevents you from racing. Try Need for Speed, R4 or one of the Wipeout games if you want to have racing fun. I would skip GT3. If you are serious about purchasing it, rent or borrow it first. You may save yourself $$ by doing so.

I am very impressed by the graphics and realist scenery of the race track.

The only problem, it's hard to control my car using the joystick, especially for beginners.

I love this game, the same with my friend. When my friend come over, he can't stop playing this game. You race to get money in this game. I got almost enough money to get another car.

When I Bought This Game I Thought I Would Be Playing It For Hours But It Turned Out That This GAme Is BORING. The Graphics And Sound Of This Game Is The Only Thing Good. My Advice: Rent It Before U Buy It.

After a satisfying Sunday morning at a friend's house spent watching the bi-weekly Tivo'd F1 race, followed by a couple of hours of serious GT3, I went driving and should have gotten a NASTY ticket. Something about turn-entry speed experiments on Mulholland Drive that are best left to the virtual environments.
Btw, the game is so realistic that I do best on the track that I've been on in real life. If you've driven Laguna Seca, you'll see how real this game is.

This was one of my first games I bought for PS2. It is cool, but I lost interest in it quick. Probably because I can't even do Lisense test A (Ha! Ha!). Don't get me wrong, It's a very cool game, with awesome effects, car detail, CARS, tracks, and features, but I just am not interested in it anymore!

First of all, I am not a fan of racing games, but when I first played it over my friend's house, I was amazed. THe graphics are sensational. The best I have ever seen for ps2 so far. NOw when I first had the opportunity to rent it, my thoughts changed.
I reallized that this game is super challenging, but its NO FUN AT ALL. It takes you almost forever to get the car you want because you have to spend your money on parts for the car you have in order to win races for larger amounts of money. IF YOU WANT TO BUY THIS GAME, you'd better have a lot of time on your hands. Another flaw, the game has a ton of cars, but where the hell are the levels at? I think there is about five or six levels to race on. You could probably unlock a few, but im not sure.
Another bad thing. Only 2 cars can race in 2 player battle. SO I give it a three star rating because of the graphics and car selection.

Well the game is good but i would like to see some Pontiac Cars like the Firebird and the TA's but over all the game play is not bad.

if you are a racing game and car fan, but casual gamers may find this game a tad boring after a while. It's just wham bam thank you mam. You can unlock different fancy racing cars along the way but the races get repetitive after a while. This game should have more rally tracks and cars, coz rally rocks.
