Fable the Lost Chapters

An excellent buy! While it may not be as long and involved as Morrowind it will still keep you busy for a while. The game has a nice variety of armor and weapons. The ability to alter the world with acts of evil of good is a bit over exaggerated. At most you affect your appearance and the way people act when you are around. It has a solid story line and a good amount of side quests. If you've played the original then the Lost Chapters still has enough extra content for your money.

Forget all this Halo nonsense-Fable is the best it gets!

Ok first of all to all you Halo fans, I mean no offence, but i have to say that Halo was a really stupid game COMPARED to this. Fable is the most amazing game I've ever played and i have played alot of games in my life. It's awesome that you can change who you want to be, you can be good or evil. No two games in this are alike and the variety is mind boggling. The graphics are awesome and the sound is no less great. Another feature that interested me immediatly is that you can buy a house and if you kill someone in another house by you, you can buy that one also. There is sooooo much action in this game i think it's the most action packed RPG to hit Xbox. I want to make this short and to the point so all in all Fable is the best game i've ever played it is amazing, and if you dont believe me go play it then see what you say. Last thing i want to say is that it has the coolest bosses you'll ever fight. Twinblade, Maze, King Scorpion, and best(and I mean BEST) of all Jack Of Blades. Jack is soooooooo cool I didnt even want to kill him at first cuz he's by far the coolest boss I've ever seen or heard of. Once again I dont mean to diss Halo, but it stands no chance in a contest with Fable. Microsoft and Lionhead Studios-I love you!

It's so much fun I can't stop playing!

It is very fun. The graphics are excellent and realistic. The quests are fairly easy, and you can also do what you want to do and not follow the game's quests. There are spells, weapons, clothing, and other items, but there aren't many of each. The good thing is that each spell has unique effects and specialties. Each enemy also has its own techniques of fighting. There is one important downside to the game: you can only be a boy, and there is only one race for you to be. The game has many stunning and realistic environments and weather. You can interact with almost everyone, although most of them will just say something that you cannot respond to. You can also buy houses. Overall, this game is excellent since it is so full of suspense that you won't want to stop playing!

If you havent gotten this game, GET IT NOW! this has to be one of the greatest games ive ever tried (and trust me Im a video game maniac) but this is an action/RPG the controls are so simple and its a gigantic world to explore -Ive had this game for almost 2 weeks playing it so much and still havent got around the place-<br /><br />so if you dont have this game go get it now.

Let me first start off by saying that I followed this game since Project Ego, which Fable was originally called. I could not wait for this game to come out, I dreamt of it, I never stopped talking about it, and I excepted to love this game as much, if not more than The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind or Neverwinter Nights. I was very let down when I started playing it, the graphic are great, the sound is great, but the gameplay is so repetitive. This game would have been so much better if not for the lies, yes lies, that all of the previews were telling you, things like 30+ hours, I beat the game and all of the side quest's in 9. They would also tell you about the "realistic aging" in the game, in two game days, which is about two hours, your character will more than likely be about 25, by the time you beat the game, you are some horrible looking prune with white hair. its just another rental action/rpg game where you have to get that special sword at the end. Its a fun game, but all of you RPGrs that waited as long as I, just rent it.

That's right. You'll have to pee really really bad but will hold it as long as possible because your so wrapped up in this game! A lot are complaining that it is too short. Well, you don't have to do all the main quests in a row stupid heads! If you play the main quests only you can beat this game in a day. However, the game provides so much freedom and possibilities along with many side quests that this game can take way longer to get through. The detail in this game is absolutely beautiful! Every area is detailed just as nicely as the last. For me, the controls took some getting used to. However, after I got used to them it was no problem. I rented it and am now going to buy it so I can re-play the game dooing different things and exploring different options. FABLE IS AWSOME! One of the few games worth buying. Games worthy of spending your 50-60 dollars on are very rare these days: THIS IS ONE!!

Fun but too short

I liked this game, but to be honest, it was way too short. I finished this game in a weekend, and then I got bored because after you beat it, there's not much else to do. In all, the game has amazing graphics, a "Zelda"-type fighting engine, and short loading times, but I wouldn't recommend it for purchase, but it does make a fun rental.

You could this game for the visuals alone! Beautifully rendered lighting and shadows with emense detail to texture and the like.There are cool mini-games to bet on and to play, like coin golf which is where you try and flick a coin around beer mugs placed on a bar table.
There are not alot of weapons and armour to choose from, but enough to change your players wardrobe to look a certain style (ex. criminal, good guy, naked, etc.). Since most people are going to gush all over this game, I feel I should voice the negatives....

I was anoyed so much at times with the 1) camera angles. At times you want to turn to your right and hit a enemy next to you if only you could get the CAMERA ANGLE to look in the direction you want!
My second peeve is when you charge up your hit meter you can't run because 2) both actions (hit and run) are allocated to the same button. So you will get struck by an enemy 4 or 5 times unnessasaily, IMO, and it's really aggravating.
3) Game is too short. You can easily beat it in about a week. Although the game is made to be played over and over I can't imagine playing it more than 2 or three time.
4) the controls are slow and at time you can find yourself forgetting what button does what. I think only hardcore gamers will be able to play this game smoothly, everyone else will probably have trouble. The menu are accessed by using the directional pad which can be tricky to operate and can sometimes make you use an item you don't want to.

One of my favorite things to do is get a whole town drunk and see people stumbling around adn you can do things like kick chickens, decapitated heads, fish for recharge items, but overall I thought the game was tryign to do TOO MUCH. I give credit for what seems like trying to combine elements from different games (Sims, Morrowind, GTAuto, Hearts, etc.) but overall, and ironically, I felt like the game was MISSING something.

The games has a nintendo game quality, in that it can seem cute at times but then becomes really violent.

If you like zelda or diablo or any of those kinda of games, this is a game you should at least rent.
It really is a fun game because you can pretty much do whatever, but it is short I beat it in only 9 hours (however I just kept doing the core quests I didnt really explore the whole game.)and it seems to have lots of replay value b/c of everything you will miss the first time through. So my advice from one gamer to another is give it a try.

fables an action rpg with good controls groundbreaking graphics and ideas you can be good or evil youll get diffrent choices kill innocent people or save them steal items or purchase them etc slowly your character transforms if u commit evil too much youll grow horns and look wicked if u are a good knight youll grow a halo its funny to see how the town reacts to u if youre a known killer also in fable u can flip people off flirt with women beltch fart steal get drunk and watch the screen become blury get married get fat or muscular its really alot of cool ideas the combat controls good and the graphics are good the failure in fable is in the tasks they get confusing it lets u pick whatever mission u want to take but it doesnt feel cohesive and u dont know if the mission is too strong for u with better menus and setup this could have been perfect but overall its still good and a must play sword fighting after drinkin 17 beers is funny and theres alot of other cool moments unlike any other game
