Pokemon Stadium is fun and nice to play. If you have a pokemon game boy game like red, blue, or yellow it is much more fun. With friends this game is also good.

Overrated.

On the positive side, the animation in this game is superb. The graphics are very smooth, the Pokemon look just like you'd expect them to, the area environments are great and the optional commentary adds atmosphere.

On the negative side : nothing happens! Basically, you select a number of Pokemon to use in battle. You can play another person or in a tournament against the computer. You select which Pokemon to use in a fight, which move it will make and then the computer takes over. You see the Pokemon do it's move. You find out whether you hit or missed and how much damage, you did.

There is no contact between the Pokemon. If, for example, your Pokemon launches a lightning attack, you see the lightning surround your Pokemon. In the next scene, you see you opponents Pokemon surrounded by lightning and they act a little suprised, but that is the extent of the action. You don't control your Pokemon in any way other than to select an attack move. The computer does the rest.

Personally, I think Pokemon Snap is better value for money. At least you have to think (i.e. find Pokemon to take pictures of) and take pictures. Pokemon Stadium is far too expensive and overrated for what it offers : a "must have" that will very soon never be used again.

This game has fun mini multi-player games!

In my opinion the mini multi-player games are all this game has going for it. The mini games are GREAT! I give them 5 stars (I give the rest of the game 1 star) When I have friends over who don't like N64, or aren't good at playing it, I put in Pokemon Stadium! Everyone seems to love the mini games! They are easy to understand, and they are really fun to play! My favorite mini games are the Lickatong Sushi game where you run your Lickatong around trying to eat as may sushi's as it can is a minute. I also like the Run Rattata Run game where your race Rattata's. There are about 9 mini games in all, and the all the games are up to 4 players.

As a newcomer to the Pokemon world (Just a bit too old when it got popular, but now w/ my own kids, I love it), I've discovered that this game is just as cool as the new one for the Wii. Picked it up used for $2.oo and its just as good as the wii game I got my young boys for $50.

Great Game

This is a great game. If you like pokemon get this game. They have a lot new all over. The only bad part is that sometimes it gets boring and frustrating. A cool thing is that it comes with a free transfer pak. If you have a game boy to play on the n64 it's even more fun.

The #1 arcade smash is back! Upright funny!

The only game I've ever purchased on N64, but later on, there's another title coming. You can even see those pokemon in 3-D. 118 insanely hilarious battles await you! Have your cartridges ready, because the battles are tough without the included Transfer Pak. Otherwise, it's a blast to play! Hoha!

Very good

I got this game a few days ago and enjoy it very much. I like all the minigames and the pictures that you can take. However, I would recommend only getting the game if you have a gameboy Pokemon game and a transfer pak too because it makes it much more fun and allows them to gain experience.

a really cool game

Poke'mon Stadium is an awesome game skill and strategy. It is a 3-d adventure of fighting other poke'mon trainers. In this game you can see all 151 poke'mon! This game is also cool because you can play mini games, earn badges, visit Prof.Oak, play your game boy game of poke'mon, and take pictures of poke'mon. I saved up my money and when I got the game it was worth it! You can use your poke'mon to battle with. Oh, I almost forgot that you can do a free battle. and so concludes my Poke'mon Stadium review.

Fun if you love pokemon.

This game's main plot is literally none existant. The funniest parts in my opinon was the mini-games and I suppose fighting the elite four. The other modes I did not enjoy as much but if you prefer the Pokemon games on the handhelds then this makes trading and locating Pokemon that you missed if you are just that big of a pokemon collector.
