This game stinks, flat out. The single player is WAY too short and the story is messed up. This stupid little computer follows you around half the game and if you shoot it you lose. This games is nothing like 007, in that is stinks! Multiplayer is bad too cause everything lags.

Looking for a really fun game with gameplay like the first 007 game, lots of destructive weapons, a detailed plot, and hours of fun? TOO BAD- you're stuck with this waste of time! Gameplay- Awful. the first 2 missions are vague and pointless. in mission #1 your trying to get to the ground floor of a building full of guards- starting at the top. in mission #2 you have to find a doctor. you don't know where he is, what he looks like, or how to get him out, but you have to anyway. Lots of destructive weapons? well that depends on your definition of "lots". If you consider about 7 guns "lots", then have fun. Detailed plot, well I have to admit that the plot in this game isn't half bad, but it just doesn't have that familiar feeling of the original. hours of fun?... NO. this game really just isn't fun, and if you don't have the expansion pak, you can only use two modes of gameplay. the only good things in this game are storyline and the devices. unfortunately, you rarely get to use them, and the storyline takes a while to decode.

all in all, not the best investment for your money. hold onto your money 'till TWINE (the world is not enough) comes out. buy that.

Well, how did I enjoy this game? From the "Challenge" mission, it looks pretty good, but as for the rest of the game, I can't tell. Why? I couldn't even PLAY the dumb thing! It says on the box, "For maximum gameplay, an expansion pack is required!" Well, I thought it meant that I just couldn't enable a few high resolution options, so I bought it anyways. I CAN'T EVEN PLAY THE SINGLE PLAYER MISSIONS. What the box SHOULD say is, "Expansion pack required to PLAY SINGLE PLAYER MISSIONS! " I won't buy this expansion pack because I know that as soon as I do, they'll make a better one. I swear, Nintendo is being influenced by the PC industry! I vowed never to purchase another Nintendo product again because I'd always spend hundreds of dollars on their systems, and then a year or two later, they'd come out with another one that requires MORE games and MORE accessories. I went through this .... with the NES (upgraded to SNES, hundreds of dollars lost), Super NES (THOUSANDS of dollars lost on games), Game Boy (now my games are OUTDATED by the Color Game Boy! ), Virtual Boy (Yeah, all four games that came out for it), and now, the N64 (When I bought it, the total was around $400 for the N64 ($200), 2 games ($140), an extra controller ($30), and an RC adaptor ($30) for it). This game is further proof that Nintendo is trying to squeeze as much cash as possible from hard-woring people by FORCING them to buy more accessories just to play games (more PC industry influence), and it further hardens my anti-Nintendo resolution. From now on, I'm sticking with the PLAYSTATION! At least THEIR games are going to be BACKWARDS-COMPATIBLE!

I played this thing with a friend ONCE,and came to the conclusion very quickly that this was the worst game ever made.
the graphics are horrible,there are about 6 guns to thoose from,
its all girls,no guys,this is the worste game ever made.
if you have an urge to play this,rent 007 golden eye,minus
100 and thats perfect dark.
i recomend 007 the world is not enough,or spiderman.

This Game Nails the Coffin on the N64

I bought perfect dark because I thought it would be just that, perfect. This game is everything but. DO NOT buy this game! If you can please buy GoldenEye but avoid this game at all costs. The graphics are horrible, the sound just doesn't work. The controls are just plain BAD, and the difficulty is all wrong. I don't think this game deserves my one star. Avoid this game before its too late!

Perfect Dark is the worst game I ever played in the world. You can't get anywhere and the guns stink. Should have bought Hydro Thunder. What a waste of money!

MAY I WARN YOU, BUY AN EXTENSION PACK ALSO, THE GAME IS ABSOLUTLEY BOARING WITH OUT IT.

Perfect Dark took goodness knows how long to come out and all the hype for it was well , NOT WORTH IT , Goldeneye 007 was made buy the same company who made perfect dark and I have 007 and all the levels in Perfect Dark were 007 levels with a few extra items in them like Boxes and Doors, I know all the other reveiws say it is a great game with 5 stars but if you have no extension pack the game has only 5 "PRACTICE" levels and they are boaring as there are no people or any thing of that nature to destroy . A complete waste of money and un-entertaining at that , I hope you choose another games becasue with-in the next months reviews like this will be flowing in! 11

No other first person shooter even comes close! better than halo,goldeneye,resident evil, silent hill,doom 64, everything!!! really cool,fun cheats and weapons you earn after each level!and great full motion cinema after each level too!good dialog good sound ! very realistic good acting in the cinema scenes too!hard to believe I got this game for only 4 dollars at a used games retailer!Its worth more, definatly.the only thing about this game I dont like is it takes 12-13 years of constantly battling the boss at the end to defeat him,other than that its really awesome.P.S.I still have not defeated the skedar boss yet!!Ok maybe it dont take that long, but its alot of work to win the game!!I still love it!

Perfect dark toatly whoops golden eyes ass i mean the graphics are incredible the game its self is toatly awsome like combat simulator mode is way cool .. I highly recomand this game get it today at gamestop. Have fun
