PerfectDark is a good game, With a ton of stuff to do. There's even a Shooting-range, Where you can test all the weapon's you've got. But, still I can't say it's better than GoldenEye which is one of My All-time-favorite game's. Still, though if you like GoldenEye, you Should like this.

A Game that doesn't live up to Goldeneye

It Might sound better than 007 but it is not.The game is good but not great. So if you have 007 no need to buy this game except for it's great multiplayer.

Great game-the CLOSEST game to 007 GoldenEye.

RARE were the best First Person Shooter developers,UbiSoft being second.Perfect Dark is the "Spiratual Sequal" to 007 Goldeneye-No its not a 007 Bond game-But it has the same gameplay.PlayStation 1,had no good First Person Shooters apart from DOOM,Medal Of Honor and a little bit:007 The World Is Not Enough-But thats it,Since DOOM and 007 TWINE were on N64 anyway(The Better versions-if i recall) PS1 could only use MOH-which was brilliant but not as looked upped at or "popular" as GoldenEye.Perfect Dark is not really a competitor to GoldenEye-as they are made by the same developers RAREWARE and Nintendo-PD is the same as GE just not the same area or franchise-Thats it an since PD was a 2000 game and GE was 1997-things like graphics and AI have improved so...Perfect Dark WAS the better game-in reality, but in poularity GE!,MOH was just a clone!

I don`t give a damn about HALO,that is a good game but nothing to dance aroud and Praise-if RARE made it,it may have but Bungie and MicroSoft made it,so NO,though there are rumors that the ppl who made it were the same ppl who made GE and PD-Could have been-But that wouldn`t have been enough-We nedd ALL of RARE,not just someone who participated in the N64 gems.

007 GoldenEye was my first faverite FPS-i began gaming in 1999 so i did not get GE when it came out. Then it was PD.NOWADAYS i have an XBox,a PS2 and a GameCube-yepp all the 007 games krap,HALO is 2days so called king,i have started playing Metal Gear Solid games-Bu
t my faverite FPS today is FAR CRY:INSTINCTS-Beats HALO`s azz down to a CM.
XBOX is todays FPS king!
N64 was the last king.

Actually have you ever noticed that N64 was more a Mature console back last-gen when it rivalled PS1 and DreamCast-It had more M and T-Rated games than PS1 had!-N64 used more Vilolent FPS games, and party spoofs like Conkers BAD FUR DAY(Remade for XBox called Conker:Live and Reloaded) which was rated M!
PS1 apart from the Resi Evils and MGS had alot of Kids games like Crash Bandicoot,Rayman,Medival,SPYRO.
Now today Nintendo is the kids console with their GameCube-65% of the games being kiddlike.
Bye.

Good, but easily could have been better.

I have played Nintendo games since the realease of the original system in 1986 so it takes a lot to impress me. Being one of, if not the premier gamer in the state of North Carolina, I found the story of Perfect Dark just a bit cheesy. It almost seemed that Nintendo wanted to put a child-like storyline to a game in which the characters curse and die screaming. In fact, the sounds of characters who have just been shot are the best parts of this game. The whole alien storyline was just a bit much don't you think? Then you went on to call him Elvis! Elvis of all things. Oh well, if you like a good shoot-em up buy this game, if you don't, this game will not change your mind. Good attempt, but you still can't surpass the excellency and precision of Goldeneye.

Not Bond

OK, the game is good; it is not, however, the Bond killer that I expected it to be. The single player action is fantastic and the shooting range to earn Bond weapons is a great idea. The multiplayer lags behind Bond's, however. No, you may say, the weapons are so cool. There is a difference between 'cool' and 'good' for me. In Bond, I didn't die from 2 shots from a K7 Soviet or RCP or even the shotgun; in Perfect Dark, I died constantly, even with the health set up to 300% (no, I actually don't suck). Also, the game, even with an expansion pack, is not as fluid as Bond in multiplayer mode, which makes it difficult to aim quickly. Additionally, the levels in PD don't come anywhere close to being as fun as the original Bond levels. And playing the original Bond levels in PD lags so far behind the experience in Bond that the whole thing just becomes stupid. That said, the game does have some good ideas, especially the addition of the 'bots for improving skills and mulitplayer action. The Perfect Bot is an awesome opponent. The storyline of the one player game is also excellent, as is the option to view all the movies as one continuous story at the end. Don't get me wrong; the game is good. But for someone who's dedicated many hours to Bond, the game comes no where close to the novelty of the original

PERFECT DARK IS THE BEST FULL OUT SHOOTING GAME!

I bought this game because I'd heard through word of mouth and really old magazines that it was really good. When I tried to play it, however, it didn't work well at all! The main problem, and indeed, perhaps the only problem, are the controls. A first person shooter on a system with a controller that has only one analog stick is doomed to failure. I couldn't find a control setup that didn't suck. For all I know, the game itself, should you be able to slog through with these abysmal controls, may be quite good. But as a gamer weaned on FPS's on my Xbox 360, I can't recommend this game to anybody.

Does not live up to Goldeneye

This game was very anticipated by thousands, including me. However, when I got the game I was very disappionted! The sound is good, but that is it. Everyone is saying how much better the graphics are, but they look exactly the same as Goldeneye. The weapons are ok too. And remember the great multiplayer in Goldeneye? Well dont expect anything better, in fact expect less. The multiplayer setup screen in not as straight forward as Goldeneye, and the "Dynamic Lighting" makes everything way too dark. And if you do not own or plan to buy an expansion pack, do not even consider this game. The name of this game may suggest its perfect, but don't let it fool you!
