At first Mario Party 2 seems like one of the best games. Don't get tricked. After a while, Mario Party 2, will be the most boring thing ever. The minigames will get old and it just won't be fun. The multiplayer mode is good for partys but even then will get lame. This is a rental only.
No need to attend this party

I bought this game because of all the hype. Yet,that's all it was. The first game I played was exciting and new. After that it's the same old thing. It is basically an electronic board game with no real excitement. There are four different settings horror, mystery, western and space. You can play 25, 30 or 50 turns. You can also select at any time human or computer players and you have to watch all of their moves. It is repetitive and boring after awhile. I have owned it 2 days and that's enough for me.
the first part was better

this game is not as good a the last one,it is not a very good game, mario party was definitly better than this one (it was more fun ), but mario party 2 has more options like duel mode and the stadium, and you can get items.Dont buy it after playing the game.
A few problems dont deplete the fun

Mario Party 2 is fun. No matter how bad you are doing, or how many times you think the computer has screwed you out of a victory. I've done every map with my friends and even though they play horribly they still enjoy the game immensly. Sure, when you play on one player the computer can be a little cheap, and on some maps the stars are put much too close to each other causing one person to rack them up. But you can win, I've won on every map and only had to replay 2 of them to make sure I came out on top. I would say that if you are playing, with any number of players less than the max of 4, that you should not pick mario as a computer controlled character. The game freaking loves mario and will cheat in many ways to ensure his victory. I was playing once with a friend and mario got all the bonus stars available, even though from our count he had only won 2 mini games compared to us winning at least 4 each, which should have given us the mini game bonus. Other than that somewhat infuriating yet avoidable flaw the game is great fun.

This game is very much worth buying, if you don't already have Mario Party 1. Many of the mini games from the first outing still remain, which is very cheapo. The new maps are good though, and the items are a good idea. It's all same old same old though. I do like the hats.
Itýs better than the first one, baby.

Okay, I saw the pros and cons of this sequel to Mario Party, so let me speak up: simultaneous play may take forever to complete, but the best part is, it seems better if two people played at the same time. The first one had no way to control the amount of coins Boo steals from you. Here, you get to do just that. And in addition to this, there is a more hilarious opening piece, more features (including a practice mode for every mini-game and a bank), and even a set of duel mini-games. God forbid, someday there might be a Pokémon racing game!
