This game has no strategy. All you do is tell Pikachu things to do, and it is hard to move yourself around the stages. There's also nothing interesting about the stages. One of the stages is just Pikachu fishing. There's no action (unless you call Pikachu walking around a field picking up shrubs action.) You have a really short time to go on the stages anyway (you don't decide when to leave, Proffesor Oak does.) The days are only a few minutes long! The graphics are 3D, but they are nothing compared to the graphics of games of more recent platforms (Gamecube, Xbox, Playstation 2.) Half of the time the microphone doesn't work and you have to keep saying your command to Pikachu over and over again for it to work. For those who want this game because they feel they can have a personal connection with Pikachu by talking to him, don't bother because Pikachu doesn't have AI and is just like any other video game character: programmed.
Even though the game is rated "E" it seems a lot more appealing to really little kids than it does to older kids.
This game is really corny and is really boring, especially for older kids who played the Pokemon Gameboy games and were expecting strategy and action-- there's none of it. Don't waste your time getting this game.
Pikachu SUCKS

So, to most of the GR readers, I'm warning you to stay away. It's the video game equivalent of going to the library and reading a Golden Book instead of Tolstoy. But if you have a really young sibling or even a child of your own who definitely likes Pikachu and can bear all his long term annoyances, there might be a possible Christmas present there.
Do not waste your money on this crud PEOPLE!

This game is horrible, sure it is a cool idea to have finally a game with voice recognition but it has like 2 percent recognition . And the gameplay is horrible. All you do is go and look for food or play pinata or play catch with a beachball. Oh yeah the story is bad too.
Hey You Pikachu is a fun time

This is a really cute game that allows you to "talk" and interact with Pikachu. Please be advised that you NEED the voice recognition unit and a microphone to play this game.
