This game is the best game that i have ever played on the Nintendo64. It has Voice Recognition and it is the first game that has had it on the Nintendo. This game is a real good purchase and I have no doubts about it. The amazing thing is that Pikachu does whatever you tell him too. This is a must purchase. I highly recommend it

This Game Is A Lot Like Seaman In Some Ways And It's A Must Have Cause It Has A Mic (Just Like Seaman) And You Can Talk To Pikachu And Pikachu Is Like Your Pet (Just Like Seaman) With Really Cool Powers It's Really Cool (Unlike Seaman) And Most Of The Pokemon Are On It And You Can Tell Him What To Do (In Some Ways Like Seaman) And It's In 3D (Just Like Seaman) (Well Not Like Seaman But That Is A Good Thing Cause Theirs More To See), You Get To Walk A Round With Pikachu And See Other Pokemon And Some Times They Fight And You Can To Talk Them And Their So Much To Do On This Game And You Even Get Pikachu To Fight Other Pokemon Like On The Cartoon And You And Pikachu Can Fish And (It's Not Really Like Seaman Cause He Has No Cartoon)(One Of The Best Pokemon Game's Ever)Really Good And I Know All Of This Cause I Played The JP.V Of The Game And I Speek JP To So... Any Way Pikachu Under Stands You Better Than Seaman Would Ever Not That I'am Dissing Seaman It's Just Sometime Well Most Of The Time He Dose Not Under Stand What Iam Trying To Say But Pikachu Is A Lot EZ-ER To Talk To PS:I Really Like The Mic Yea And Seamans Cool To.

We have two young boys, ages 6 & 3. This is not a game that they can just pop in and play. I usually sit down and play it with them, I usually manipulate the controller. They love it. The voice recognition technology requires that you speak relatively clearly. Since pikachu understands certain words, and the controller must be manipulated at certain intervals, you must be able to read. We have been playing it semi-regularly for about one month now and at this point both boys know what to say at the appropriate time. If you are looking for a game that is alot of fun and one that you can sit down and participate with your younger children, this is a good choice. My boys love to call out the commands and words and see pikachu respond.

Gamer from NYC, The game did not cost 80$. It only costs 75. But The game is really cool, it's like a tamagotchi that is actually fun. The pikachu has feelings, like scared, happy, mad, and sleepy. Hope this helped.

It was a really good game even though it was a little childish .I think that it gets a little boring after awile, becuse it was really aming tward the little kids,Though it was good I think the best game for N64 will be Zelda.

It's nice to be able to have a Pokémon adventure that does not include continuous battles with other trainers, this is what makes games such as a Pokémon Stadium or Pokémon Puzzle League sort of boring after a while and makes games like this one and Pokémon Snap a break from constant battling.
"Hey you, Pikachu!" is one of the most innocent child-oriented Pokémon 3D Adventures, it takes you away from the standard world of Pokémon trainers into the world of Pokémon caregivers and your task is to raise a little wild Pikachu you find deep in Viridian Forest. Pikachu will take you along on picnics, fishing trips, piñata parties and simple fieldtrips where you meet a bunch of Pokémon favorites in their natural habitats. Sadly, only the sweetest and cutest Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Charmander, Oddish or Poliwag are included, larger, meaner Pokémon like Onix or Electabuzz (To name a pair) had to be excluded since they didn't fit in the game. The game has different places to visit, some of them come from the Pokémon Game Boy games and some are completely new. You can help Pikachu take care of little Caterpie and help them evolve into Metapod and then pretty Butterfree, help collect ingredients to have a picnic with Bulbasaur and help Pikachu water Oddish and evolve them into Gloom and Vileplume. The adventure is a lot of fun and the greatest thing about is the fact that the game does not revolve around making selections with the controller buttons, but you can actually use your own voice with a special Nintendo 64 exclusive device included with the game.

I've heard a lot of complaints about this VRU (Voice Recognition Unit) system, but I've never really had any problems with it. The system will work fine if you know how to use it properly. Here's a few tips for those who may find this device troublesome.

-Make sure your device is plugged onto the 4th controller slot, it will not work if connected somewhere else and make sure everything is plugged into place.

-Make sure your TV isn't too loud when you talk to Pikachu, because if it is the system will have trouble recognizing what you say.

-Speak proper English. Speak slowly and clearly and make sure you are not too close or too far apart from the mocrophone, have it right before your mouth.

-Also, see that you keep the appropiate "L" button pressed down the whole time while you speak and don't release it while you are talking.

If you follow those hints, the VRU shouldn't give you any problems. The only complaint I would have about this is the clip that attaches the microphone to the controller, it is very fragile and breaks easily, we had it replaced twice.

The game has decent graphics, standard Nintendo 64 and the animations and movements are sharp and well done. Pikachu is a very realistic Pokémon and behaves naturally. Pikachu is very cute and fun to play with, he acts like any real pet, he gets happy, excited, sad and angry and it is your job to keep him happy as much as you can. Surrounded with beautiful music and very heartwarming moments, the game is challenging, fun, entertainment and a must buy if you would like a break from Pokémon battling and take some time with another kind of Pokémon adventure.

Absolutely wonderful!
