I bought DK64 when it first came out in 1999, and from the moment I started to play it I did not like it at all. It is way too complicated and difficult to play, and I would not recommend this game. Every time I tried to play it I just kept getting frustrated, and I had to stop playing it. Instead I would recommend Banjo-Kazooie or Mario 64.

Hello, I'm a fan of DK64 and I want to say I love this game. I just Got It Today! My Brother Nigel loves this game too. Right Now I'm on Angry Aztec with 10 Golden Bannanas.I saved Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong and Diddy Kong. I diddin'nt Get Chunkey Kong Yet but I will. Nigel is on Fungi Forest with 52 Golden Bnnanas.
We both love this game. Maybe You'll like it too.

This is not what you'd expect from Rare or from the Donkey Kong series. The game has a really basic plot: The bad croc is going to blow up Donkey Kong's island. Everyone, including me, was expecting super graphics from the expansion pack (which you need to play this game). Not true. The graphics are a bit better then the average game, but not as good as they could be. The game is remarkably similar to Banjo-Kazoie (another 1 star game) in that you learn moves as you progress through the game, something I HATE! The characters also speak in mumbles that get annoying. However, probably the worst part is that the game play is boring and it is hardly challenging. I beat the first level fully and almost beat the 2nd through 5th levels in the first week I had it and I haven't touched it since. The only good part is the multi-player mode. So, if you're going to buy an N64 game, look elsewhere.
Need more action!!

My family and I have enjoyed all of the past Donkey Kong games. We were disapointed in this one. From the camera to the controller,they need to be looked into. Go back afew steps to the past and Kong games will come back in front again. It really was not fun to play, sorry...

I beat this game in 2 weeks, 200 gold bannanas, all the blueprints,all the bannana faries and medals. I'm not saying this game is bad but it's easy as I am a video game master, but it's still fun hunting enemies with guns. Buy and you will like it, for awhile!

This is different from the previous DK titles, in which fast thinking and good reflexes were needed. Sure, there are a couple of roller coasters here, but this is basically the "look for items and open the doors" type of game. If you are going to buy this, better expend your money on RayMan 2.

DK64 is a fun game with a lot of adventure. I waited for this game to come out. I was very pleased with the adventure and the graphics but most of the golden bananas were too easy to get. The versus mode was fun at first but then it got really boring. Overall I would recommend buying this game.

This game is really bad. We had this game only a few months before we took it to a store to trade it in for Diddy Kong racing. The reason we did not like Dk 64 was that you had to find the people before you could be them. Very complicated for kids. Also, you have to go through many levels and it gets boring.
