So Time Consuming!

You probably saw my 5 star review and yet my title is so negative right? Well, if you did... good for you... if you didn't... OBSERVE!

This has to be one of the best games that N64 has to offer right now. It has the graphics, it has the gameplay, and it has the FUN! The bad part about it is the time consuming part. But of course, you don't have to make it a bad thing! This games needs at least 40 hours to finish for an expert player. Every level has so many different goals, sometimes it seems that there is no end to it. but that just adds to the HOOK that this game has on it's gamers.

So, if you're debating on which N64 game to buy, this has got to be on the top of your list.

Donkey Kong is one of the greatest games available on the N64, other than Zelda and GoldenEye. The graphics are amazing and the worlds you travel through are the largest i have ever seen. Although the multiplayer mode could have been larger with more options to offer, it is still a great multiplayer game and an even better single player game. The story is simple but playing the game is not; it is sometimes a challenging and frustrating game, but overall it is a great game to play! Combining great graphics, gigantic worlds, amazing gameplay, average multiplayer and 2 of the most loved Nintendo characters around returning equals one great game! GRAPHICS+WORLDS+GAMEPLAY+MULTIPLAYER+DK=AMAZING! i recommend every1 to buy this game because it is the greatest! Donkey Kong, were not worthy! ---

Well here I was babysitting and the kid had just gotten a Nintendo 64 for Christmas. I played the Donkey Kong game for about an hour with him and I was instantly in love with it! I own Donkey Kong country and Diddy's conquest and the New Donkey Kong left my games in the dust! AWESOME graphics, three new kong players, extreme levels, what more could you ask for? I am saving my pennies to get the game from amazon!

This was my first N64 game ever. I love the intro rap song it cracks my up whenever I listen to it. D.K. is pretty strong but when you meet Chunky you won't think so anymore. The game srarts out with five birds flying towards D.K. island boy that place looks fun. Then you see King K.rool's moving island coming straight for D.K. island. Then it shows those crazy Kremlings
trying to control the moving island but they are not having much luck. Needless to say K.rool yells for his captins telling them to steal D.K.'s Golden Bannanas plus they have already kiddnapped Diddy, Tiny, Lankey, and Chunky. Well let's get to the quest. You have to get the Spells and Potions from Cranky,the Guns and Ammobelts from Funky and the Musical instruments from Candy. This is a Pretty long game not one like Spiderman 64 which you can beat in about an hour and a half. My favorite kong is Diddy he is so good he stars in his own game Diddy Kong Racing 64 which I love. I haven't seen or heard anything about a D.K. game for Gamecube yet but I'm sure they will make one someday. This Game resembles Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, and Gex enter the Gecko. This game is funny and jammed full of action/adventure. This is one my favorites. I have only beat it once but I still play multiplayer with my sisters. I recently started a new file but I haven't beat it. The two top levels are Fungi Forest and Crystal Caves. This game is rated E for everyone and some people say it's for younger gamers but my Dad plays it so give it try. PLEASE?

This game is tricky but it is fun. One of my favorite things about this game is that you can be more than just Donkey Kong. You can also be Diddy, Tiny, Lanky, Chunky! I still have not beat it but it's worth the money because of how AWSOME and FUN it is!

i have 4 systems and for the 64 i have 30 games.this is in my opinion the best. ihave zelda games also and this game can keep you busy for many hours at a time.

I want to thank the folks at Rareware for creating such an astoundingly funny, clever, gigantic, beautiful game. The music is the best game music ever written, in my opinion, and it gives the game wonderful atmosphere. The graphics are incredible, the jokes are side-splittingly funny, the areas are detailed and memorable, and the puzzles and games are original and engaging. The final battle was a surprise worth waiting for. I spent a week living in a world I'll never forget. There's no way to describe it - you just have to experience it.

One word of caution: play it with a friend. The people I know who played it with someone else (taking turns at the controls) enjoyed it much more than those who played it alone.

I bought this game just because I did not know what to give my 9 years old child for a birthday(how many Barbies girl can have).I did not expect how good this game really is. My first experience with Nintendo 64 was Super Mario. I still believe that Mario is the best game ever. Then I bought Banjo-Tooie and was very dissapointed. I believed that no game can be as good as Mario. I was wrong. Donkey Kong is beautiful game. It is not as difficult as Banjo and not as easy as Mario. It is kind of mix. My doughter really loves it. The graphic is beautiful, the game is very bright and colorful. The game is fun. You can control 5 different monkeys each of them has his own personality. Minigames are not too easy so you will really enjoy it.
Someone would say this game is too easy but get real this game is for kids. It is not suppose to be really difficult. My child hated Banjo with such levels even I could not play. Children enjoy when they succed not when they play for days and can not open a desirable level.
I believe my child will finish this game in a month but she will enjoy to play it over and over again like Mario.
This game is classic and I would highly recomend it.

Donkey Kong 64 was the longest and most fun time I've ever had playing a video game. This one ranks right up there with classics such as SMB3 and Legend of Zelda as the true great ones. EXTREME REPLAYABILITY!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH TO DO IN THIS GAME IT ISN'T FUNNNY!!!!!!! Simply the greatest!!!
