I've played a number of online games and this is probably one of the best i've come across in the last year or two. I rather liked Ascheron's call, but this is way more fun, with the only player killing happening when your whole "realm" goes to war with another "realm" full of other players.

good magic effects, and a fairly decent number of spells. the number of classes, and races keeps the game very diverse. I've played on a friends account for abt 3 weeks now, and i have to get this game for myself.

Brilliant game. Although the system requirements are a bit savage.

still, great gameplay, very good graphics, and a wonderful community of players makes me give this game the thumbs up!

Well thought out game . . .

DAoC has proved to be a superb game, although a little sceptical during beta phase I must confess that this has just become an absolute favourite. I've binned EQ in favour of this and not once thought about reverting back (even with the onset of SoL). Great look and feel throughout the game, fun through the levels (which are definately slower than in EQ - but a lot more fun). Well worth checking out by anyone who loves the genre.

Everything EverQuest should have been.

This game picks up where EverQuest sadly left off. The Dynamic Questing engine allows for more than hack n slash experience getting, eliminating the need for camping/farming. You can personalize your character almost immediately with a wide range of faces, hair, hair styles and clothing dyes. The trade skills are MUCH easier and very worthwhile (instead of loosing PP, like you do in EQ, you make profit from the first step!). A very enjoyable game.

Hail fellow MMORPGers!

I was lucky enough to test this game for about 4 months...

All I can say is:- If any of you out there are MMORPGers and have played any of the other leading titles in this genre of gaming, then HOLD ON TO YOUR PANTS! This is about to ROCK YOUR WORLD! (and some).

Exquisitely smooth graphics, Beautiful locations, uncountable options and choices in gameplay and set-up, trade skills, Special weapon moves, all types of armor, weapons, spells, and the chance to PvP with teams and solo players in different realms make this "Dark Age of Camelot" the true future of MMORPG as we know it.

Bow down before the masters!!! Mythic Entertainment now RULE!

The BEST MMORPG!

Let's see... the only game possible to compare this to would be Everquest.
While I'm not a big fan of EQ (I play AC mostly) I find that DoaC has taken all the good parts of EQ - and then improved them dramatically!
In addition, whilst I've not yet been able to actually take part in PvP - it is increasingly clear that there is no better PvP game on the market or in the near future market!! Choose a realm: Hibernia, Albion or Midgard, then defend it from attackers, or try to gain territory by attacking the enemy.
With a somewhat standard number of races to choose from, each with their own weaknesses and strenghts, and a varying degree of classes - everyone can enjoy this game
Throw in a easy to use grouping system that makes finding a group seem like childsplay. In fact, it's so easy that it only took me about 10 - 15 minutes to learn nearly every function available to me at a low level (us testers don't have much of a manual). If you're completely new to the online gaming market it may be a bit more difficult and require a few minutes in the manual that will be shipped with the game.
So far this game has the right direction, speed and curve to come out on top!

Great Fun!

First things first. I had never played any MMORPG games so it suffices to so my experience is limited but ever since I saw my friend playing I wanted to try it out. I finally got the chance and was not disappointed. I enjoy the easy interface as well as the various races, classes and the different styles each can use. You get many choices and if you tire of a certain character start a new one. Anyway if you are a expert at the MMORPG games or are just beginning this is a great game to play. While it may have its problems I rarely go linkdead <-----lose connection(possibly because I have DSL) and neither does my friend (who only has 56k) and I never have a hard time getting on. This program gets a Ultra 5! rating...Great Fun!!

This game rules!!! I love it. U can talk to buddies and train your chracter. I like spellcasters and archers. Those are just a few of the character classes you can choose from. I think Mythic did an outstanding job on this game! I am anxiously awaiting a sequel. If you like online RPGs,magic and medevil games then this game is perfect for you!

I hope to see you in the game! Good luck and may the light of Camelot guide you through this wonderful adventure!!

I'd have to say thay DAoC is probably the best online game yet. I play as a Britn in Albion named Cadalehar. I love the graphics, the sound is good, and the story outline is even good. RvR is great and I really like the ability to form a guild with other members.
I can't really find anything wrong- other then losing exp when you die. But other than that, it's a great game.
I'am greatly looking forward to getting the expansion game "Shrouded Isles." For all of you RPG gamers out there, this is the game for you.

Control

The thing I enjoy most is amount of control you have over your persona. From choosing your realm to deciding where to put your training points you have the freedom to develop any way you want. Your aren't forced to play one style. Good choices or bad, it's all up to you
