While this is a great MMORPG that's really been pretty good, at about level 11 I'm already a bit sick of leveling over and over and OVER AND OVER because at my level, there's not much else to do. I mean yeah, this other stuff sounds cool...but at level 30?! Maybe it's just me, but I don't have the time or patience to do a repetitious thing over and over for weeks, wasting time just so i can do something cool...IN A MONTH.
Plus, I really don't think Mythic was too imaginative about spells. Whatever happened to flying? They could do something cool with that- I find myself walking SO MUCH MORE THAN I NEED TO. Plus, fighters should really have some sort of advantage, I dunno...they don't really match up with enchanters, and enchanters dont match up with fighters at the moment.
One thing that DAOC really did do well is the interface. Your stats are ALWAYS handy, the buttons are clear and it's easy to understand what info they'll get you just by looking.
One thing that's really annoyed me is that your gravestone is IMPOSSIBLE to find in the dark. There should really be some kind of indicator that points in its direction until you pick up your exp...often I have to ditch about 1/10ths worth of a level just because I can't find my own headstone. Either that, or you should have, like, a floating marker above it, or something...ANYTHING!!
While DAOC is good for someone who is fine with simplicity, I'm finding myself wanting more already.

I have played this game for a month on and off trying to give it a chance but all i can say is this game is soooo poorly made. If you want an rpg go to EQ with the new expantion out EQ leaves this game lying in the dirt it came from.

this game is so amazing! it absolutely crushes other mmorpgs! it's so realistic and the people in it are very friendly! it takes a little time to adjust to the system but once you do, you'll love it! the system also adjusts to your level as you play more and gain more levels!

Daoc great game but

if you plan on buying this game for pvp..you better pick Albion realm.The game is set up so that Albion always wins has better casters better archers better stealthers better everything..So pick albion realm or you will be very disappionted

The graphic's are awsome and the playing is fun IF you like to group for the rest of your chracters carrier.

Yes, they will say a Wizard, Sorcerer or Theurgist are good soloist but, I've been playing these 3 "toons" for almost 6 months and get killed 5 times (if not more) in 30 minutes everytime. (I'm fighting things that are level green, the lowest level to score anything).

Nope, not for the solo player or for the person that just wants to have fun and relax after a hard days work.

You will become frustrated even more. (Talk about toon-rage).

As a noob u dont know anything about the game. When u are low lvl no one seems to try to help u. I asked about 20 people for help and no one even answers. Since there are so many NPC's and highly detailed buildings u move very sklowly. For about 30 mins i am ending up spinning in circles because i cant turn to get out of the very laggy town. Its seems a waste of time and gets very annoying. After lvl 6 after u die u lose experiance so if u were to get almost the next lvl. If u are soloing you die and die now your back to phase one, gives u major headache.

I bought this game for my teenage son thinking it would be great hours of fun,I was even forewarned about the monthly charge which I thought extreme,and much to my dismay the game continuously freezes the computer and disconnects,what a waste of [price],I'm really disappointed and would gladly sell this game in a heartbeat to anyone,

It probably isn't as good as EQ is now, but hey this is the first installment of a great game. I held off purchasing this title because of previous bad experiences, AO anyone?, but after hearing about how smooth the launch went, I am disappointed I didn't buy sooner.

I have experienced no bugs or technical difficulties in playing the game and I find it very enjoyable, the community seems very friendly, and the game is engrossing.

If you like this type of game, BUY IT NOW!!!

This is easily the best game i have ever played. Great graphics, sound, and game play. After8 months of playing Daoc i haven't been bored at all, there are many choices for you from when you start your character from when you reach level 5 and up. If you DO get bored just and start to think that this is a game where you just run around and hit things it's not, wait til level 10-20 or so, it gets alot better. The RvR feature is great. Note: this game ends up to be very time consuming.
