Un-freaking-believable. This is the best online game I have ever played. If you ever liked playing Kick the can as a kid, this is as close to that as it comes in games. Well, kick the can where you break the guy who's "it"'s neck and then you get to talk smack about how you got the drop on em' just before you put him out of your misery. This is the best game overall for my money since "Starcraft", Halo notwithstanding.

Wow,this game suprised me.Ok,first of all the story mode is great. With great gameplay and graphics, everything is here. But the thing that ruined this game is the online play.IT SUCKS!First is takes forever just to get 3 people in a room.Second,if one person leaves none of it counts to your ranking. So all that work for nothing. This online play is about is bad as mechassult. If you want the greatest online game ever get Rainbow Six 3(for the xbox). So what do we got a so-so story mode and a terrible online play.So just rent this game.

Whoa.

I loved the first game, and have played through it several times. I can't believe it, but SC:PT is actually better, and much harder. I'm still playing through the single player version, and it's very challenging. I haven't even played the multiplayer game yet, but seeing what I've seen in the single player version, I cannot wait to try it!

Great online gameplay

I'll skip the review of the single player mode - except to say it's solid, and at least as good as the first splinter cell.

The online multiplayer divides players up on two teams: spies and mercenaries. Spies play in a third-person mode and have to neutralize virus canisters throughout the map. Mercenaries play in first person shooter mode, and have to defend the canisters. Each side has a variety of different weapons and gadgets. For example: spies have flash grenades to blind mercenaries; mercenaries have mines to lay for spies. Each team has different vision modes: spies have the thermal and night vision; mercenaries have motion tracker and electromagnetic vision (the later lets mercenaries pick up spies using gadgets).

Online play is a lot of fun. It's probably the most innovative online game on x-box so far. The only downside is that only 4 people can play on a map at any one time, which can be difficult for mercenaries on large maps.

If you have broadband and x-box live, this is going to be one of the hottest online games of the year. Thumbs up.

At least a 9.9/10

This game is an early contender for Game of the Year this year. I have actually played the game as opposed to writing a pre-review and let me tell you this, this game kicks [***]. It is ten times better than the first, and the first had everything (everything, except for Xbox Live!). There is one main question for this game, though: How do you make a sequil to a game that has everything? Well the answer is simple; you take the game that has everything, and you patch it up, take care of the extremely minute glitches, put in new levels, make the legendary graphics better, put in two or three new moves, and that is how you make an epic game a game that will go down in history as the game that beats all others (except for Halo 2)

Kodak Moments

The first Splinter Cell created some of videogames' most memorable moments. Pandora Tomorrow creates them in spades. Among them:

-- More spotlight-avoidance madness. In one scene, having to remain IN THE SPOTLIGHT as it moves along the ground to avoid a sniper using night-vision goggles until you can find a safe haven!!!

-- Crouched in a corner (or wherever), in shadow, as an enemy comes within INCHES of your position, then suddenly pressing your back against the wall at the last minute and hoping/praying (and holding your breath, literally) that he doesn't detect you!!

-- Shooting out all the lights in a location to create total darkness, then switching to night-vision and creeping around toying with the enemies' nerves by making noises, slapping them up against the head and running away quickly, only to put them out of their misery at some point by either subdueing or shooting them in the head - - all without them ever having seen you!!

- - the foliage and water effects as you sneak your way through them!!

- - the moving train scene and sneaking through a cabin with passengers sitting inches from you, sneaking along the outside railing or underneath the carriage going 90 mph; the first time an oncoming train passes you...'nuff said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- - the rain and lightning effects in one level towards the end of the game.

- - the animations of non-playable characters as they sit/stand and do whatever it is they're doing. They look and act so real it's scary!!

- - dropping in through windows of civilians watching TV and then sneaking past them through shadows out another window!! ...

- - two words: sticky cam or diversion cam - take your pick!!

- - THE GENUINE FEELING OF ACCOMPLISHMENT WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE GAME. COUNT HOW MANY TIMES YOU PUMP YOUR FISTS IN CELEBRATION!!!!

- - In the LAX level, sneaking through the concourse and taking a moment to look out the panoramic window to see ACTUAL planes taking off the runway!!

Buy the game, y'all. Then witness all your other games suddenly lose all their appeal.

Fun but rushed

This game is extremely fun. I loved every minute of it. The story is very realistic. WARNING: this game can be vary hard! But it's still a great game. Although, the ending is very rushed. And the game itself is quite short. But that's only half. You can go online! Now, it's not Sam Fishers running around, it's different. It pits spies against mercenaries. It's so addicting! The graphics are amazning. The water and grass look beautiful. The spies try and neutrilize the virus online, while the mercs defend them. The spies can use devices to listen in the mercs. The mercs can set mines. I reccomend this to all gamers. But remember, this is stealth!

Best shooter I've played EVER!

This game is the best! The graphics are awesome from the facial expressions to the way you move about. If you have never played a Tom Clancy style game, the Splinter Cell series is a great place to start. It made my hands sweat when I would sneak up on an enemy in the pitch black. I wasn't sure if he would turn around and kill me or not. The enemies are much smarter in this game, yet they walk right past you if you are hiding in a dark enough place. Unfortunately it's hard to get by every single enemy without being seen. Anyway I think that this is a must get game no matter what the cost.

SC:PT rules!

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is the sequel to the awesome Splinter Cell game. Sam Fisher is back with cooler gadgets, deadlier weapons, and sweeter moves (e.g. the SWAT turn). The graphics are awesome, as is the sound. My only beef with this game is that is ends far too quickly. Hey UbiSoft, how about some downloadable levels?? You can play forever with the online multiplayer mode, but for those without XBOX live or system link, you are out of luck - there is no offline multiplayer. Overall, 4 stars since it's a bit too short and does not offer offline multiplay.
