Fantastic Graphics Great Game Play

If you are looking for a great racing game to play for Xbox than this is the game to play. You can chose from over 30 - 50 cars. But you have to unlock them all. When you do unlock them you can chose from a anywhere from a BMW Z3 Roadster to a Corvette Z06 to a Porche GT2 to a Ferrari F50. And when you drive them you can burn rubber with any car that you chose from the game. Or you can drive around or race in San Francisco, London, and Tokyo. It also looks so realistic when you turn the weather on to raining. The streets flood and when you go over the floods water shoots out from the back. And when you turn down the music in the game you can here the rain drops falling and you can even see them hitting the ground. YOU ALSO HAVE RADIO STATIONS TO CHOSE FROM. THEY PLAY ALL KINDS OF MUSIC. AND YOU HAVE A CD PLAYER TOO. WITH SONGS TO CHOSE FROM. OR YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN CDS AND PUT TI INTO THE GAME. AND CAN LISTEN TO THOSE SONGS WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. And when you crash it looks so realistic. I encorage evryone out there who has an Xbox to be the first game you buy

This game is very well designed. The graphics literally stun you the first time you play the game. The cars are really detailed well, and the coats you can put on them look good. I din't give this game a 5 star rating for one reason, the game is too hard to beat. The first two levels of the game are beatable, but when you get to hard mode, it is what it is, hard. I can't beat all the cities on hard mode.
The Kudos concept is really cool. It is the first game ever that you get points for style. The first level of Kudos is beatable, but once you get past that it is just really hard.
I don't think i will ever be able to beat the game by myself, luckily i don't need to, i went on my trusty friend, the internet and looked up some codes. If you want to get all the cars and all the levels and open up the new mode "medal pursuit" all you need to type in when you select your name as you create a new player is "Nosliw" The game is very fun like that because if your really bored of losing then you can get the nice cars and drive them for a while then you can go back and try to beat the game by yourself with your real created player.

zooom zoooom zooooooom.

Think you got the skill to put a vette into a 180 slide while doing 120 mph? Give it a shot.

Project Gothem Racing is one of those games you play for an hour or two and don't know how to feel about until you wake up the next day and realize your hand is cramped from playing so hard.

PGR takes me back to the days when racing games were so addictive you'd wonder if you even blinked during the race. You'll find yourself so frustrated one minute then spouting off to your imaginary opponents the next.

PGR offers some unique little features like radio stations to listen to in the car with "real" dj's and a nice selection of music. But if that isnt enough, RIP your cds to your XBOX and make your own soundtrack.

How about trying to overtake 8 opponents in 3 minutes listening to fear factory?

Give this game a chance and you wont be disappointed.

Awesome game

One of the best racing games I have ever played. The graphics are near real. I have played several other racing games including Rallisport Challenge and Nascar Thunder 2003, but this beats them all (to pulp).

One of the best racing games to date but...

if only xbox had a decent racing controller to match. Hey InterAct! Make an UltraRacer for Xbox.

By now you know PGR is a beautiful and awesome racer, somewhere between the GranTurismo and Ridge Racer series' I think, not quite a true sim since you can't tweak the cars but not really an arcade racer either. Fortunately, it takes the best gameplay elements from both and adds something unique to the mix (the kudos system) and you are left with a game that is actually worth what you paid for it (if not just a little bit more).

Obviously this game (and racing games in particular) are not for everyone. But certainly any fan of the racing genre will love this game. It has that "just one more try" aspect to it that makes it impossible to put down. Another reviewer put it best, you will wear out (from lack of sleep and sore thumbs) before this game does. The unique aspect to this game, the kudos system, is not unlike the scoring systems in games like Tony Hawk Pro Skater, where linking tricks together are the key to the highest possible score, but a crash will give you a big honkin zero. You find your self thinking about driving strategies like "how do I extend my slide so I can make it through the next gate AND not scrape the wall."

As a side note, after playing PGR and then going to race BIG American Muscle cars in Motor City Online, you can REALLY appreciate the control and balance of a finely tuned European auto. Now if PGR included a '64 Corvette or a '70 Plymouth Hemi Cuda it would be a perfect racing game.

oh my wow

Top three reasons why people hate this game... 1) all they say is it's boring 2) its too hard 3) takes too long to unlock hidden cars and the like.
Now i think all three reasons people have listed as to why this game "sucks" are just petty. "Oh the game is unfair i always spin out" well learn to not spin out, avoid the other cars and don't let it aggreviate you. Those who claim the game is too slow obviously must not have gotten their car past the first turn. Sure you car feels like it's going 5 mph until you try and make a turn, whereas you're going to slam into a wall unless you can appreciate how realistic the game is. As for the third most common complaint, find a cheat code guys, as for the rest of us who have an attention span longer than 3.21 seconds we like having to race lap after lap for 1 one to get a new helmet, and however long it takes to perfect the course to get a new car.

First Game on my X-Box

Being this the first game I have gotten for X-Box I find the graphics awesome. I barely got this game a couple of days ago and so far so good! The music choice and the difficulty make this an awesome adventure. Some people are saying this game is too hard...well what do you expect? a little easy baby game? That'll be to boring. Thats the point, it's MEANT to be hard! And thats one of the reasons I like it so much, although the only annoying thing is you can't turn corners as fast as the computer, it's gets me annoyed. If you have an X-Box and your a big racing fan, this game is for you!

Good racing game

When I first got this game (I bought the X-Box system as a package and had to get three games) I thought it would be a Grand Trismo rip off. I was wrong. Time matters very little in this game, rather it isn't how fast you do the course, but how well you do it. With a point system that calls apon you do to various tricks that can increase you score and medals being based on that, its a refreshing change from the "I have a need for speed games". Not that there's anything wrong with them, but a change is nice every once and a while.
Then there are the sound tracks, you can make your own. With the X-Box being able to be used as a juke box, the game can pull the riped tracks off the systems hard drive and you can play what ever you like. The DJ in the radio function does get anoying after a while but he/she has a lot of different saying and only rarely repeats him/herself. I'm just suprised that they didn't put ads in the radio function for Microsoft products, new games..etc.

This is one addictive game

I got this for christmas, and a buddy of mine and I can't stop playing. We have had a couple of 3-4 hours racing until 2-3 AM sessions now, and I can't wait to get back into this game.

There are 29 or so cars, they are tough to get out, but there are like 250 different tracks to race on in San Francisco, New York, London and Tokyo. It is trully addictive, though the racing goals can become tough, its a lot of fun to play.

a great game ... anyone want the code to unlock it all?

this is one great racing game. It has incredible graphics, sound and the gameplay is very realisic. It is not an easy game for those used to games like sonys GT games. it does however give a real racing feel. if u go to fast u spin to slow and u wont get around the turn with any speed at all. I encourage everyone to take the challege and unlock all the cars and tracks. However, if you do't have time to spend hours doing such things THE CODE to unlock the entire game, all cars tracks and paint jobs is this: in the begining of the game when you pick a name for your player type in the name Nosliw. Enjoy
