Tired of whiners

If, for any reason some pathetic review tries to convince you that Project Gotham Racing is the worst game they have ever played on account they can't beat a level is obviously a worthless excuse for a human being. This game does not deserve the incredibly annoying critisism from lousy reviews. Now, I understand racing games, you either like 'em or not, and it is the exact same for challenge. The thing people are not grasping here is that the difficulty lies on their own fault. If they cannot beat a level, that means they need more practice. The game, I'll admit it is a bit of a challenge, but you have an extreme sense of accomplishment after you meet your goals. The thing with the "whiners" is they want everything easy, but rewards come with hard work.

The truth of the matter is the game has excellent graphics, superb control (depending on the car and your tastes), awesome gameplay, super cool sounds, and way cool shock physics. I rate this game a 5/5 because it meets all gaming needs... and if you like cars this game is most definetly for you.

Project Gotham Racing shows a good character and/or skills
of racing and has so much action with in it that you would
probably blow out of your mind and seat.

If you saw the Taco Bell commercial like I did, you'll see that Project Gotham Racing does not take advantage of xbox's graphics. I'm going to choose from one of the other 15 racing games available. There are much better quality games such as Test Drive.

This is the coolest racing game ever. I think the F-50 is the best car. For the reviewer Nick, enter the word "Nosliw" as a player name and it unlocks everything in the game.

I purchased this game solely on the good reviews it received. It was not a let down. There was a bit of a learning curve to use the hand controller to accurately maneuver the car, but then the game hooks you. It quickly becomes apparent that the game requires true skill to progress. The Kudos system (points based on meeting certain objectives) helps put you on track for learning these skills. There are a couple of places in the Kudos progression where it is frustrating difficult to get to the next level. But these are the exception, rather than the rule. The graphics are beautiful, and the selection of cars is sufficient to make this game a well-rounded good value.

It's a NICE game... the graphics are the best...the cars are really cool... and it just kicks butt. The CPUs are kinda hard to handle...it does get tough at the end of the courses....but it beats GT3 on PS2, thats for sure! it's a getter!

Solid Game, doesnt beat NFS Though

I love racing games and after purchasing my xbox i was anxious to compare the gameplay to the need for speed series i have come to love on my pc. The game has comparible graphics, gameplay is fun if you like "working" to unload your cars which could get frustrating as your game progresses. Crash effects are weak though in this game. Handling is good, overall a cool game to pass the time.

not that great

I'm a big fan of car racing games and I was disappointed with Project Gotham. My biggest complaint is having a car racing game with a kudos point system where the race is determined by how flashy you drive. That's fine to have for something like Tony Hawk. But a racing game? C'mon!! That's just a stupid idea. My other complaint is that it doesn't feel like I'm driving a car. The handling is unrealistic. You can't damage the cars either. I give it 2 stars because the graphics are good and I like the feature where you can pick the music you want to listen to (by real bands by the way).
