Bad Bad Bad

I can't beleive this game was so poor. The missions were lame. The multiplayer was so annoying. The weapons were poor. And lastly the graphics were so dark I couldn't see the buildings I kept running into. I'm not going to adjust the brightness setting on my T.V. for one game! Forget about trying to scope someone out or using any kind of skill to kill anyone. Its pretty much fire your weapon at will and hope for the best. After playing the pc version online of this game, xbox shouldn't have even bothered putting it out. I would say rent this and find out for yourself before you buy it considering the hype.

A Tradgety and an insult to all those who fought in WWII

Let me say, my grandfather fought in WWII, he voulenteered his life to save our freedom, he's still alive today and we both despise this game, you have the first level of Normandy, ok, probably the MOST famous battle (next to charge of stalingrad) in WWII, it's pathetic, you single handedly take over 2 mg42 nests. the game mentions about fighitng with fellow soldiers which you NEVER EVER EVER EVER do! this game is an outrage, pathetic AI, you single handedly take down a german submarine by yourself, infiltrate a nazi headquarters and somehow get promoted to sargent who really just gets [himself] thrown in 1/1000000 odd missions, just STAY AWAY, now if you were to ask me how is call of duty? then take every word i've said and do the opposite, buy COD. NOT MOH!

Pass on this one

Ugh! I'd like to give this game NO stars but that's not an option.

The controls are clunky, the missions are tightly scripted, and the AI is the dumbest I've played against in the longest time.

There are no way points until you complete the mission, so should you buy it just prior to killing the last Nazi, you get to start ALL over again. Gee, that's fun...

Using the sniper rifle I nailed a Nazi guard in the gut; he grunted but didn't die, and then continued to make his rounds. Isn't that what all people who get shot do?

Thank goodness I rented this atrocity rather than buying it. I suggest you do the same (if possible) and make your decision based upon real game play and not the marketing.

The first level [was bad] it wasnt realistic at all you had to give people cover fire, if you did that in real life you would be dead in a second. I ran around for at least ten minutes and didnt get killed, i was just running around not protecting myself or anything. SECOND the multiplayer is horrible the places are way too small and you cant really sneek around without being seen like in HALO the areas are just too small. the game as a whole is just bad. I rented it and didnt even play it for an hour before i was bored of it. DONT BUY IT.

Very, Very dissappointed

Wow, this game could have been sooooo good. But once again we have a failure. I have been playing the game for about two hours and i am already sick and bored with this game. The multiplayer is just horrible, i could run around in the woods with a stick and hit my friends and have more fun. Then we come to the single player mode. This is always the redeeming factor for all of these games that fail in multiplayer, but not for this one. The missions are ambigious and you have no idea where you are supposed to go and what you are supposed to do. This game is easily the worst game that i have ever played and should be avoided like it carried a rare strain of the ebola virus. If you bought it sorry, and if you didn't, pat yourself on the back and go buy a real game like ghost recon, unreal, or halo.

Boring, don't bother

After playing Halo for the past year, this game is slow, hard, and boring. Save your money, get Halo if you don't already have it, and look for a better game.

"STOP IT"

Stop making "Medal Of Honor" games. They have the same stupid A.I, and the same idiotic story. The gameplay just gets OLD really fast. Please, don't even rent this game, spend your time just playing great games, like "Halo", or "Final Fantasy X", and "Star Wars:Battlefront."

Ok, but this is no HALO

If you like smooth gameplay, crisp graphics, strong AI and a good story line then skip this game.

First the good, the weapons are unique and seem to be authentic and are fun to use especially the Gewher sniper rifle, the intro graphics (at the start of the first mission) and all similar graphics are exceptional, and the look and feel of what you would expect a WWII game to be like are there.

The bad - this is no halo, the story is not compelling, the gameplay is not smooth (you throw grenades underhand and not very far), the aiming recticle is difficult to use (I will be within arms length of enemies and blast away with a BAR or other machine gun and miss), the power weapons and weapon effects are boring (explosions are LAME), the missions end up being about shooting your way through a straight line map to get to the end, and multiplayer is not smooth or exciting. I just played on the easiest level until I finished all missions and I do not expect to play it again. Don't buy this game for the gameplay and excitement, buy it for the atmosphere, they put way too much effort into the mood of the game (it feels like a movie with bad interactive options) and almost nothing into the gameplay.

I bought the game to play with my family during the holidays and after 2-3 deathmatches we switched back to HALO multiplayer and played for hours until we were all bleary-eyed (that about says it all). Bond and Turok on N64 were better FPS games, HALO makes this game look like a college programming project.

I have owned almost every system on the market since Atari came out and this game is ok if you are a WWII buff or like mood games, otherwise your [money] are better spent elsewhere.

What was all the hype about?

After reading gushing reviews and playing through some of MOH: Allied Assault on my Mac, I was really looking forward to this one. The first mission is Omaha Beach and it delivers big time. Very exciting, very chaotic. If you liked the opening sequence to Saving Private Ryan, you'll love this mission--I did.

Then things took a decidedly downward spin.

Basically, your character is given a mission and you go to it. The problem is that the mission is ABSOLUTELY linear and you can't deviate from your objectives at all. Things start getting suspicious when there are walls, hedges, and roads which are blocked for use. You just run up to 'em and then you can't go any farther. Lame.

The game quickly goes downhill from there. Germans can (and will) pick up the grenade you tossed and throw it back at you. You're not able to return the favor. Why? The enemy AI is okay, but not great.

I've heard the multiplayer of this is pretty amazing, but it's not an XBox live title so unless you have a lot of friends with XBoxes and a system link, you're out of luck there.

Take a pass on this one and wait for Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
