A Game that you can't Stop Playing!!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 3

Medal of Honor: Frontline is one of the best 1st person shooters that I have played. I have Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for the computer and I loved that. I decided to rent Medal of Honor: Frontline for the Xbox. It turned out to be an awesome game and it was worth the money! Medal of Honor: Frontline is a game that has 6 single-player missions and each mission has about 3 or 4 levels each. There are more levels in Medal of Honor: Frontline than in Halo (another great shooter) so you have a better variety of scenerios to play in. Also, Medal of Honor: Frontline has all-out multiplayer battles where you play against your friends with different sets of weapons and in different scenerios. Finally, the sound is as realistic as it gets and the graphics are very clear. In conclusion, anyone who likes a 1st person shooter, would just get addicted to this game!!

one of the best war games ever

this game is so cool since you get to relive dday. It's pretty hard at first to dodge all those bullets from the bunkers but after a couple of tries you should be able to get it. This game is one that you have to buy.

Medal of honor Frontine

This is the best Medal of Honor game yet. I haven't played Alied Assult. The Omaha Beach mission is the very first which is kind of dissapointing. It's to easy even on hard cuz the machne gunners can't even hit you when your just standing there. I would have liked a challenge. It also could have used more missions. There's only 19 and they arn't very long. But still it is pretty enjoyable. If it gave you a couple of ways to get to a certain spot or to complete an objective it would be better.

You get to use many different weopons as you go about crippling the german war effort. It has good graphics. During some parts it'll get a little choppy during some gunfights, but that could be because my disk is scratched. The enemy AI is better. Sometimes they'll actually run for cover instead of standing there strafing back and forth. It's a good overall

Not Halo, Though Superb FPS

Though lacking the depth of FPSs like Halo, Medal of Honor Frontline is certainly a worthy game for anyone looking for a bit of WW2 action, even with it's sometimes quirky AI in which sometimes the Germans all shoot with sniper precision and sometimes with ridiculous stupidity.

You play as Jimmy Patterson, the toughest soldier in the U.S. Army, you shoot, bomb, and snipe your way through six missions with several levels through WW2 scenarios like D-Day and Operation Market Garden while completing objectives like blowing up tanks and infiltrating Nazi-filled parties undercover. To the unpacient, it may get old after a little while, but if not, there's plenty of shooting to please hardcore FPS fans.

Graphics-4 out of 5: not the Xbox's, but good anyway. Though the characters sometimes look a bit polygonal, the grimy war landscapes look great, which add to the realism of the game.

Sound-5 out of 5: this is the game's best aspect. Weapon effects taken directly from their real life counterparts, a dramatic music score, and good voice overs perfectly recreate the eerie sounds you would hear in a WW2 battlefield.

Control-4 out of 5: everyone knows that the Xbox controller is perfect for FPSs (the Controller-S, that is), and this game isn't the exception, though accesing your arsenal is a bit clumsy with the black and white buttons. For those who think Halo's controls are the best, there's even a Halo-esque configuration in case you've gotten used to it.

Fun-4 out of 5: even with it's AI and graphics issues, Medal of Honor is certainly a good FPS for action fans and even casual gamers, and it's also the only game that perfectly duplicates the WW2 atmosphere with flawless precision; definetely don't miss it.

repetitive and then frustrating

Graphics on this game are so-so, and though everyone talks about how great it is on the first level, shooting away on Normandy beach, you know something is rotten when you're firing away at cardboard-type cutout Nazi's in the bunkers ahead. They don't move, they don't fall when you shoot them, they're just symbolic representations that totally take you out of the experience of storming the beach. I hated it. Sounded good though.

The levels get repetitive after the beach. Going around basically doing the same stuff, it's all very linear...not much freedom at all.

The worst part of the game is the inability to SAVE while playing. You have to finish a mission to SAVE your game, which is horrible...since you could spend a LONG time playing a level, then die near the end. And guess what? You have to play it ALL OVER AGAIN! Frustrating. I understand they wanted this to add suspense to the game, but the game is a game, and it's supposed to be enjoyable, not make you scream at the game in frustration because you know you'll have to spend 30 minutes doing the SAME EXACT STUFF!

Suffers from the same troubles as many X-Box Titles

Here are the pros and cons of the game; I'll discuss each after the list

Pros
Above Average Graphics
Many different Weapons
Large Game play

Cons
Linear game play
Save feature is also BS
Unrealistic game play at times
Difficulty settings are BS

Pros
From the start, this game looked good. The first mission is awesome; you hit the beach and have to fight though the chaos of the situation. The next pro is the number of weapons was great. You get to use several different weapons for each war situation. The sniper rifle is a personal fav. The last pro deals with the size of the game. From what I have read; there are 19 missions, so this is not a game that you can finish in an afternoon.

Cons
The first con is that this game is that it does not allow for you to do anything other then the list of chore list from your mission list. So it becomes like a list of chores. The game even has a list of chores that get checked off as you complete them.

Next, there is no in level save feature. So in the longer missions you have to be careful not to die at the end of the level, or else you have to do the whole level over again. SO you can spend hours doing the same thing over and over and over again. I understand that this is suppose to make the game more challenging, but if I have to do a level over 10 times, I will not think, "Boy that was challenging and fun." I'm more likely to think, "Boy, this game ... ." The X-Box has a 10 gig HD, why do developers not create in level saves? It is not like we will run out of HD space!!!

Unrealistic game play takes away from the game. You can have the shot gun and sneak up on a Nazi. You then shoot him in the back of the head. And guess what!!! He gets up and starts shooting at you!!!! I understand that one shoot-one kill would not work in a video game, but what the hell!! A shot gun blast in the back of the head does not kill a Nazi, UNREALISTIC!!!!!!

Ok, my last complainant, The difficulty level in the game is total BS. I was playing and came upon a mission entitled, "Arnhem Knights". After 5 times of dieing in the middles of this level, I switched the difficulty to easy. But guess what, I died another 5 times. Let me give a bit of background to this mission. You have to fight Nazi's through the streets. You travel along with a platoon of British soldiers. First, one would think that having computer led friends shooting at the Nazi's would be helpful, but you would be wrong. The Brits more or less get in your way and never seem to do anything but die. So this leaves you to kill the over 150 Nazi's plus the two tanks that are on this level. I hate to complain, but I do not know of many foot soldiers in World War II that killed over 150 Nazi's in one street battle and also took out two tanks in the process.

All in all, I give it two out of five. So rent if there is nothing else at the store to rent and you need a video game fix. Shame on you EA for releasing this game

from the beaches of omaha so many americans gave their lives I recomend this game and the movie the longest day
are soldiers were so brave and the english, irish, french and french resistence. There are so many games that don't have omaha beach on it as a first person shooter. Brave through the Nazi defense line as LT. JIMMY PATTERSON as you take normandy from NAZI control I love history games based on world war II. I also recommend secret weapons over normandy just don't forget to put medal of honor frontline on your list.

Love this game reasons: graphics/gameplay/weapons

This game is just great. Anyone on this site who puts a bad review about it is crazy. There is posotivly nothing wrong with it. I just can not stop playing. My favorite mission is the first. It is just amazing. There is no question. You must buy it.

Great Game

I had been waiting for this game to come out on Xbox for some time, and it was worth the wait. The opening level is intense, with the landing on Normandy Beach. The landing on Normandy Beach is pretty close to the first scene of Saving Private Ryan.
The other levels are just as challenging and fun. I think the graphics on this game are for the most part pretty good. A few of your fellow Soldiers movements have a not so perfect graphic display but not enough to ruin the game.

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooter/action type of games, it won't disapoint.

Good, but not good enough

This game isn't was it was said to be. It is fun but has many cons. First of all, it seems like most of the missions were very dark (this is hard when u cant see whats shooting you). The aiming is also hard. One thing that i hate is that this game has boundries, unlike games like halo where you have a little more freedom. This game isnt bad but i would suggest something else.
