Absolute Genius

I'll never understand why people stand next to their XBOX, PS2, Dreamcast, whatever, as if it were a family member and ridicule other systems relentlessly. It's a machine made by a giant corporation fer crips sake. They don't care who you are.. .they want your money. Enough with the platform bashing already. The only thing I can say about the GTA Double Pack is GENIUS!... great games.. Don't miss them. XBOX boast great graphics and great sound. I can't complain there. So whether you ship your hard earned dollar overseas and buy a game system that was manufactured in Japan....or keep the cash right here in America, thanks to Big Bad Bill, buy this game. And enough with platform bashing already....Jeeze...

I really like this double pack, 'cause one, two hit games for $50 bucks, and two, I love the games. While most people like Vice City more, I like GTA III a little better because it's more ghetto. There's no ghettoes in Vice City, but it's a great game. I like havin' both of them. Very fun to play. You can complete missions, drive a taxi, a cop car, an ambulance, and a fire truck. And for the taxis, cop cars, ambulances, and fire trucks, you get paid for the objectives you complete. That's what makes these games so great.

Ive never played the playstation version, but I have played the PC version and I think the xbox graphics are terrible on this. It very blurry. I also think some aspects of the game where left out that the pc version has, for example I played them back to back and notice, there is alot more types of people on the streets, who also say different things, and act differently then the xbox version. The only thing good about the xbox is the controls, when it comes to firing the guns with the scopes, the pc version is impossible, and so is the stearing of the boats.....i guess you cant win, you either play the version with the beter graphics, and sucky controls, or play the terrible graphic with the great controls and custom sound track, take your pick, excluding the graphics, the game is awsome.

This is a review which assumes the reader is familiar with the Grand Theft Auto games already. I'm just going to get straight into the differences and tell you why the Xbox version is even better, in my opinion, than the PS2 version.

The graphics are amazingly better for Xbox. The reflections off the cars are much more real. The condensation on the "camera lens" is a nice effect. the game is actually a little more challenging in adverse weather, which I like. When it rains or when it's foggy, there's an added challenge to whatever mission you may be on.

The difference in audio is my main reason for wanting the Xbox version so badly, though, after having already played both GTA's on PS2, specifically the addition of the use of your custom soundtrack(s). Here's how it works. If you have one or more custom soundtracks in your Xbox, they come up as CD player in GTA3 or Cassette Deck in Vice City. The greatest thing is they come up randomly in different cars, just like any of the radio stations in the game. You start your game, and it may be five or more cars before you hear your custom soundtrack, unless you purposely play it. I, myself, listen to whatever is playing in the car I pick up. The only downfall of the custom soundtracks is that when you start playing, it always starts with Soundtrack One: Song One. I would have liked it better if, when you save the game with Song 12 playing, you start playing again with Song 12 playing. But oh well.

I'm actually having more fun playing GTA3 at the moment than I did on PS2. I'm playing it differently than I played before, as well. There are missions I was never able to complete before since all the gangs eventually wanted to kill me. I urge anyone with an Xbox to go out and buy my two favorite games of all time, if you haven't already.

This is a very great game, but not for insane kids who could snap at any moment, but anyway. For all of you who haven't played this game, i'll tell you a little bit about it. You mainly go around doing criminal missions, but you can fool around too. Drive cars, motorcycles, mopeds, boats, helicopters. There's tons of awesome weapons to kill people with. If you do crimes, the cops come after you. If you get 6 cop badges, the army comes after you!! great fun, but cheats take forever to work on Xbox version. Sometimes i have to put them in 10 times.

This game now for x-box I cant wait.Im getting this and the x-box for christmas.Ive played the PS2 versions and thought they were great. You are free to do anything you want in these games even be a cop and pursuit people you have to corner there cars and theyll get out usually with a shot gun and start shooting. If you are still in the first city this is cool because sometimes you can get people in limos, ice cream trucks and sports cars from other cities, but sometimes its the same hooptie in the city you start in.Here are some hints for beginers to get a banshee you go by a car place ram the car you have into the glass and hop into the banshee.Thats a grand theft auto 3 hint.
