Finally, the game has come to XBOX. Not only has THE game come, but both games have come. New to XBOX, the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy releases a double pack for the same price!
FINALLY! XBOX OWNERS CAN REJOICE! When this comes out, XBOX will be the perfect system

Two awesome games for the price of one.

Finally this game series is transferred over to the most powerful gaming system in the world. Wasn't that the obvious decision from the beginning? Now instead of the characters looking freakishly deformed, you can actually see fine detail. You can see separate fingers instead of the hand mittens that you were subjected to. If you have ever played the PC version then you will notice that the area of the city you can see is bigger. As is such with the Xbox version. The game also supports the higher resolution setting of 720p HDTV, and there will be real time lighting and better looking elements such as rain and smoke. The cars will appear glossy and waxed. There is the custom soundtrack feature where you can play your tunes from your hard drive into the radio of your car (any car with a radio i.e. no cop cars). There is also Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound support so you can hear different pedestrians around you saying "In the navy" and other funny phrases. Also gunfire will be of the same effect. Another cool feature is that the button layout is customizable, but i assume that there is a default layout as well.

...and remember kids, cell phones kill.

The best reason to purchase this double package: You can add customizable soundtracks to the list (too bad PS2 users), thanks to the Xbox's hard drive! I can't wait to hear the music of "Squarepusher" with this game!! It'll be a riot indeed!

I'm not sure how this game will be. Xbox is famous for jokin'
other games and messing them up. A lot of people say that this will have better graphics then the ps2, but i think yhat's BS!
ps2 is a really nice console and i don't think xbox has the capasity to receive better graphics then sony. Yeah, i have an xbox so technically you can call me a hipacrit for saying all this but i also have a ps2 and gamecube. In my overall opinion ps2 will always be better then gs and xbox, they have better games and controls, but it's ass holes like microsoft to get a hit game from somewhere else and jack the hell outta it. if your stuck with an xbox and you want this game by all meens get it, but if you got a ps2 then you'd best get the gta series for that. remember, this is just my opinion so don't go tellin' friends that this is fact cause it's not. i've been gamming for7 years and have stayed up to date on most of the game facts
and stuff. I'm known as Mr.?, but i also go by the name as grasshopper. I'd like to start a "game chat" thing but i don't think i can. If you ever need info on any game,my opinion,or fust want to chat,you can reach me in amazons game lounge monday-thursday at 4:30 if you ever want to chat.i only check to see if anyones in there and if not i go, so you want to come exactly at 4:30. The PS2 Classic Makes It's Way To XBOX

Grand Theft Auto 3 was the blockbuster that came out of almost nowhere. GTA 1 and 2 where little known PSX sleepers, but they where sure a blueprint of what was to come.

DMA Design aka Rockstar North took the GTA 1 and 2 forumla and added a 3rd dimension. Little did they know it was going to explode into such a mainstream event.

Both III and Vice City will have a few improvements on XBOX. The first and most noticeable being the improved visuals. No longer will there be trademark PS2 'jaggies' or stiff animation. These problems have been cleaned up for the XBOX releases. You will also be able to use custom soundtracks from your XBOX hard-disc. I can't wait to be running people down while blasting the Pixies "Got Something Against You".

The controls have been re-mapped for the XBOX controler. From what I've read online these are the controls:

Left Stick: Walk/Drive
Right Stick: Look Around
D-Pad: Cycle Weapons
Left Trigger: Aim/Brake
Right Trigger: Attack/Gas

A: Run
X: ? (I can't remember)
Y: Hijack Car
B: E-Brake
Black: ?
White: ?

Well I forgot some, but those are roughly the XBOX controls.

GTA III and VC will be great on XBOX. Should you buy this if you have both for PS2? Probley not, but it might be a good rental.

I played GTA 3 on PS2 before getting my Xbox and it was a decent game. A bit overhyped by some gamers and the press, but still a good game for a few minutes. Vice City is more artsy than GTA 3. Anyway, I won't give this a high mark because it came out on the Xbox after two years. This is nothing short of an insult. Of course, if you haven't played either game, it's nice to know you can pick up both for the price of one, even though most other gamers already played it years ago.

Best Game. Ever. Period.

Now Then, To Start Off I Have To Say That The Ps2 Had This Game First, Now That I Have The Downsides Out Of The Way.... This Game ROCKS!!!! Don't Listen To The People That Said That It Is Stupid Just Because Ps2 Had It First, True They Did, But Rockstar Is Going TO Make Up For It, By Adding Better Graphics, Customizable Soundtrack, Shortening The Download Times(There Is A God!!!), Adding Customizable Controls, And Increasing The Frame Rate. Now, The Only Problem Is Is That It Isn't Here Yet. I Have Both This And True Crime: Streets Of L.A. Pre-Ordered And I SRONGLY Suggest You Do The Same!!!! The Only Other Thing I Can Think Of To Say Is, It Will Be Worth The Wait!!!! Any Way Stop Reading And Go Buy It!!!!!

Ok this game gta3 is crazy! When they came out with the vice city ver. it was even better! But y do we have to wait so long?? now it seems dead. Any way, here r some hints: If u going to attck a gang that doesnt like u, find a rocket luancher and fire away. If u want to kill people but not get cuaght by police (not including helicopter) go to a car (that has a driver in it but its no moving)and hop on the hood. Start shooting away as u drive ontop of the hood. Note: U can get thrown off the hood! One more hint, dont cheat cuase then is u cheat ur a loser! (i cheat 24/7 so what am i saying????) any way, hope u have fun when it comes out! cya!!!!!

I can't wait for this item to come out!!! man I have been waiting for ever for Grand Theft Auto. I have played this game on ps2 and it was awesome besides the EXTREMELY bad graphics but the gameplay made up for it. I heard that the xbox version going to have allot better resolution though : ) But it aint going to be different from the ps2 version except the graphics. For the parents this defenently deserves the rating M. It is a very violent game running around Vice City doing dirty work for all the major drug lords , Killing gangs that are a threat, own a car business'es, ice cream shops, strip clubs, fly airplane's etc.

this game is so raw parents if you child is not at least 13yrs old you should not get it for them thats how raw it is
