If you are a fan of the matrix series, and like videogames, you'll love this game. The graphics are pretty good for the XBox, and the controls are easy to understand. Another good thing is that the game reveals some stuff about the movies, and gives hints as to what might have happened to all the hovercrafts at the end of The Matrix Reloaded. It also has about an hour of video from the 2nd movie and extra clips. There's also a really cool hacking feature, but that gets a little hard to do on your own after awhile.
There are only 2 things that I don't like about the game. The first is that the last level, where you drive a hovercraft, is way too easy. You can literally just hold down the acceleration button and you'll beat the level. The second thing is that if you play as Ghost, instead of Niobe, the levels are all switched around.
Overall, this is a great game and I highly recommend it.

I was very skeptical about buying this game since it's based on a film, having playing stinkers like LOTR and Spiderman. I am completely blown away. Not only are the graphics flawless, but the gameplay is fluid and fun... The controls can be a tad tricky at first, but after awhile you can master them... The AI in the game is actually smart. They wont come flying around tghe corner right into your attacks, but will hide and wait for you to peek around the corner... The Matrix's signature movements (slow motion or 'Focus') makes this game truly unique allowing you to run on walls, kick off columns and use one opponent to kill another. THe game lets you control one of two characters at a time, on foot, in the air, or in the cars... Definately worth it :-) The tie in to the movie makes both the movie and game all the better, each complimenting eachother like never before. It is rated T, but it really could have been M with the amount of violence and language in it... I do have one problem with it, sometimes the camera views confuse me, but I am still not completely used to this particular game engine...

recently I have had the priveledge to play 'enter the matrix' by atari.
...I'm a happy little gamer! ^_^<-----me as happy little gamer
the first thing one must understand about 'enter the matrix' is that 'anything is possible in the matrix'
...seriously
I have had this game for about three days and I have...
walked on walls,
crashed into a couple hundred cop-cars,
hugged my T.V.
built a shrine dedicated to the wachowschi brothers,
dove at about five cops... through glass... in slow motion... firing my M-16 like mad...(and here's the best part)AND THE COPS HIT THE GROUND BEFORE I DID
now that is what I call talent

Here's the skinny, ya'll. This game IS awesome, there you have it. I own the PS2 version, and so far the game's graphics are continuously good, smooth, and only slows up if there are LOTS of guys (which doesn't happen TOO often). NO, you can't play as Trinity, Morpheus, Neo, and all the favs, but hey, if you could, the game would not be much fun (you wouldn't even have to DODGE). The story line and movies are pretty tight, and the story is dope. However, some textures do look a little funny, agents are VERY painful, and sometimes the sound becomes a little funky (they will say things twice in a row real fast). Anyway, overall, if your a Matrix junkie (the story is important to the movies), or you just wanna cool action/adventure title, PICK IT UP!!!
its cool

i just got this game and have played through it a little. you can beat up like 10 people at a time and fly around using bullet time(used way better than in max payne). also, you can ride shotgun cruising down the highway and shoot up anything in your path. this is an excellent game. go buy it now
like mortal kombat in story mode!

this is a very fast paced video game which requires many cool moves and requires split second decisoins to beat.the kung fu is awesome!you can grab up all kinds of weopons and blast the crap out of everything.theres even a pretty nifty matrix mode which lets you do the "in your own time "thing to where you are at normal and everyone else is seemingly moving like snails.this is quite likely one of the coolest games ive ever played and you should really check it out.
someone deserves to be sacked

Started to play the game today and its worth playing. The level designs are pretty good and the FMV is worth watching but whoever designed the control system for the character movement should be sacked !

Just bought it yesterday. Played it for about 10 hours so far :) At first the gameplay isnt overly exciting, but then you realize how deep the combat system is and it is more interesting. Bought it after I saw the movie, which I would recommend to anyone, because they dont explain anything in the game, so you think you are doing missions for nothing, but if you have seen the movie you will understand. There are some amazing moments in the game, stuff that stands out. The 'focus' a.k.a bullet time really is incorparated well, and the effects are outstanding. There are levels in the game that somewhat recreate scenes from either the Matrix or Matrix Reloaded, and they are awesome. The hacking mode is nice, but I am still trying to get a hang of it. Basically it is a DOS based program that has hidden things in it that requires you to type in certain codes. The codes are hidden somewhere in the 'Real World' leading me to believe that they are hidden in the game somewhere. Having 2 diffr. chars. to play the game as is very cool, because both are similar, yet differant enough to make it interesting the 2nd time through.
Also hidden in the game is a secret multiplayer mode, which pits you against a friend in one of 5 scenarios and lets you duke it out 1 on 1, with no focus 'bullet time'. There are enough secrets to keep you playing, and the game is fun enough and challenging enough for everyong.
Overall: Great game, incredible replayability, great story. Dont play unless you have seen the new movie.
This game is decent, but not great

This is a fun game, especially if you are a fan of the movie. The bullet-time effect is really cool, and you get to use it more than you did Max-Payne. But, this game also has a lot of problems. The control scheme is kinda weird, and I am curious why they did not allow the player to control the camera on the game. The result of this makes it difficult to look around corners or behind you, and you can only see in the direction that you are running. As for the character animation, the people look kinda funny when they run, and the players can not do some basic things that you would expect them to do, like jump high, crouch, roll. Also, bullets are pretty ineffective, as it is really hard to aim. As a result, you will end up running up to the baddies most of the time and punching and kicking them, which is still pretty cool. The graphics are nice, but they used the de-saturated palette from the movie, which is a cool stylistic thing, but it kinda makes it a little hard to see sometimes. Also, the graphics could be a little more detailed. So in conclusion, this isnt a great 3rd person shooter like Splinter Cell, but its a decent game that will keep you entertained for a while.
