First of, I'd like to point out two things: The first being, you CAN, in fact, move around in first person mode. (Given, you can only strafe left or right.) Second, don't complain about the controls, because they can be changed. Having said those, I'll talk about the pros and cons of the games. First, the bad. A few of the animations are a little off, (Ghost's sprint) The enviroments aren't great, and there are a few minor gameplay issues. However, there are many good things about this game that overrule the bad. The 'Bullet Time' mode is done very well, where you use 'Focus' to enter it. It's not unlimited though, but it regenerates over time. Also, the story is complete and well done. And the Hacking mode is a neat add-on. Overall, this game has a few setbacks which prevent it from getting the full 5-star rating.
I was unsure at first

The Xbox version is awesome. The controls are easy to remember, and its not annoying. The game experience is incredible! theirs 2 different modes you con use, normal and Focus (aka bullet-time) (dodge the bullets!) You start off in similar room as in the first movie where the huge battle scene in the mable hallway with the pillars (which in this game u can shoot and break) and its a good level to get familar with the controls. As for fighting, i was in awe. When you ativate focus you can run up the wall and backflip, while kicking the police officer in the face, another you can sidewalk on the wall and then break their necks (sounds gorry but theres no blood, thats why its a Teen rating (i think).
Guns. Your guns are awesome, when in focus mode you can jump into the air, almost launching at the bullets, dodge them and then kick some ... while shooting back.
You get the choise of being Niobe or Ghost. Same story just in 2 different perspectives. If u want to get to know the game, choose Niobe, shes fast and strong and with both charaters having 300 different focus type moves, you'll play both of them :)
hope this help, in my opinion, this is the game of the year.
Have fun!

The new Enter the Matrix game really represents it. I am not really into action games if I say so myself, but this one is like a movie. I started by playing it at a friends house and everywhere he turned during his turn was action. It was scary and gave me the chills during I being the spectator.
Ok, so the game is violent. But this one is realistic. If anyone could make a game this realistic, I wonder what the future will be like. Enter the Matrix is for people ready for violence. I would not reccomend this to anyone under the age of 9. It is unappropriate to those toddlers.
Pros:
Killer Graphics, like an action movie.
Play from Niobe to the Ghost. Isn't that great.
Cool features.
Cons:
Yawn. Ahh! Too much action.
Kinda gets boring!
Without the cheats, you're gonna die!
Suggestions:
Get cheat codes, or face that this game, even at an Easy mode is going to be very hard, too hard.
To sum it up the Enter the Matrix experience is very great. It is like a movie!
Live the Matrix. Not the Hype.

Okay, this game sold a million or so units worldwide, but this game falls in the same vein as Max Payne and Dead to Rights.
But here's the real deal on the game. This game does have some excellent film footage from the movie "Matrix: Reloaded" and some extra footage to provide some extra background that was shown near the end of the movie. The environments actually resemble those encountered in the movie; and in fact, the character models as well. However, the environmental graphics and graphics overall are about Dead to Rights quality; in other words, very arcade-like. The character movement is not quite as fluid as expected, but it's palatable. The default controls are a wee bit awkward, but it's usable. The hacking (cheat) system is the most unique cheat system that I have ever encountered, and this feature, not the films or the game itself, that makes this game worth keeping. Overall, this game is fairly decent, but don't expect anything new. As I said to other people, this game is essentially a "glorified Max Payne."

Enter the Matrix is a quality game graphics wise. The characters are beautifully detailed and most of the levels are well thought out (excluding the hovercraft and most of the sewer levels). However, the gameplay can become very tedious at times, especially while playing as Niobe. It is apparent that Niobe was intentionally made to be a tougher charcter to play as, because of the driving and hovercraft piloting (both were thrown in there as last minute levels, as it is evident that the levels were there just a hype). Then again there are some levels that take less that two seconds to complete, such as The Return to The Great Hall in the Merovingian's chateau. In that level, the only objective is to run ahead 3 feet! Overall, the game is ok, but was put out waaaay to early. Rent this one first.

THe problem with this game is that, once beaten with both characters, you really lose interest in plaing it again. Most games at least peak a little interest after not playing them for a while. Not the case with this one. Enter the Matrix was nowhere as good as Max Payne. Too much hype for the game.

ONFOOTMISSIONS
The onfoot missions are great, I was shocked with a preview trailor and I was going to get the game whatever the outcome. All you do is run through levels and beat up or shoot anyone that stands in your way. There are 3 buttons to press, punch, kick and disarm, that's the buttons for hand to hand combat. When pushing any of the buttons the game randomly selects a move and it might be depending in which way your facing. If you played Dead to Rights, hand to hand combat is rubbish in it, dissarms in it are awsome(better than Enter the Matrix), so I think they're as good as each other.
There're some ausome moves like running up a wall then doing a stylish spin off it then kick them in the face. Shooting is ausome for owning the game for 10 days because slowmo is used to a great exstent, as good as the original Max Payne. You can do cartwheels to dodge bullets and forward dives whilst spinning when shooting. There's variaty and you'll be playing this non stop for 10 days. The graphics are bland and there are alot off glitches in the game and that's why the game doesn't last as long as GTA 3/VICE CITY, that knocks 1 star of.
DRIVING or RIDING SHOTGUN(knocks 1 star off)
Driving as Niobe is below average, all you do is drive forward and turn corners and the 2 or so levels look the same. You can send Ghost out to lean out of the car window to fend of cop cars.
Riding shotgun(as Ghost)is when instead of driving, you lean out of the window to shoot cop cars or the Agents. If someone is shooting you from behind you can shoot ongoing trafic to block thier way. Also when shooting cop cars they fip over you. That part of the game is rubbish to me.
Is it worth bying? yes if you're a Matrix fan. This is a perfect rent because you're in for a treat playing this for 10 days or so.
Hey, not bad but not the best game i've ever played

Ok, i liked this game a lot for the first week i had it, but i beat it just recently and i thought it was way to easy. The graphics are a little sketchy in places but over all GRAPHICS,i give a 4. The focus time was pretty amazing, i really like how you can do everything that the movie has. The other really really cool part about this game is the hacking section. You get to hack into the game. The hacking isnt that hard because the program kind of helps you out. But the hacking is still great. I also like the cars and weapons. There are a ton of weapons in the game which was really fun. The driving/shooting part was so so because there isnt any skilled required. Well at least for the gunner part. The driving part was pretty good though. The only thing i hated about this game was how the agent Smith's fight. They pick you up and then throw you into the wall. While your down on the wall they shoot at you. When you try to get back up they grab you again and throw you back down. Overall a good game. Buy it if you have the money, but don't save up your pennies for a month, its not worth it.
