What did this expansion pack bring to the sims?

I dont know what was going on but everytime i visited the studio town, the program automatically shut down and jumped out to windows without any warning. So i could barely think that i would really enjoy the fun of trying to be a superstar in this expansion pack. By the way, I made a lot of training before i go to that town for gaining "fame". But everywhere i was banned for the reason of insufficient stars, not knowing where i should go and what i can do, just wandering around and finally worn out.(if my computer were not crashed, which allows me to bring my sims home.) All my families in the last expansion pack unleashed were settled well, but after the installation of the superstar they were all changed by their interests and personalties, can no longer get alone with the others well, and, most annoying, the friendship between them and their friends went into a chaos. So i could only delete them all and remade.... I really enjoy playing the sim series games,and at least, superstar increased my program-performing speed and fixed the computer crashes of visiting the downtown area(probably has been moved to the studiotown...) So approximately this expansion pack can be called satisfying

Not that it's not a good game, but Maxis just made too many expansion paks for The Sims..from Livin' Large to Superstar, it's been 7 expansions (including the Deluxe Edition), and the qualities of the expansion keeps on getting worse and worse (even though Superstar was a little bit better). It's time to stop buying these expansions and wait for The Sims 2 to come out, so you can uninstall The Sims (and its expansions) to free some memory on your computer. After installing Superstar, the gameplay was slower on my computer, it wasn't as smooth as before. If I have patience to play this game, this expansion should be pretty good (you have to spent a LOT of time in this expansion, and double that a LOT of time because the gameplay is slow). So buy it if you really like this series, but don't buy it so you can save money to buy The Sims 2 and free some space on your computer.

Sims Become Stars

Face It. The Sims became stars in the first Sims game. From what I have seen of this, it doesn't look to bad. I am gonna get it anyway because I have all the other expansion packs and I need this to complete the collection.

Sadly though (or maybe about time) Maxis is realsing one last expansion pack (due around Halloween) as it has Sims 2 coming out February 15, 2004 and feels it's time to move on.

It is the best sim ever. You can be famous. The only hard part is getting past the modeling part. I really recomend this game

This expansion pack really isn't as great as I thought it'd be. It it fun, and very challenging but once it's installed it changes the entire game layout. It's much harder to develop relationships with the sims, and the 'living' tab is completely different. I personally think that it wasn't the best they could do. They do have a few cool features, though, including the butler service, more household items, and studio town.

3 words game equals best! This expasion pack is so cool.. you can go to a new town.. but you have to get the other games first.. together they are cool

I think that the Sims are totally cool!! I've been playing for the last three years and never had a dull moment.I really enjoy
Sims Unleashed but now , after playing this ,I have a NEW favourite!! Any kid with imagination will love it as much as I have , there is nothing more to say because this game can only get positive comments!
I will now get back to playing The Sims!

I really enjoy the new town and the shopping areas of this game. There are a ton of new characters to interact with. Upside... you can make some mad cash breaking into the music or acting biz. Downside... better not have a family cause you'll never spend time with them in the game, and you have to donate a lot of free time sucking up to people. Overall, it's a great expansion.

Yet another Sims exspansion pack. In this one you can now live out your Sims fantasies of fame and fortune. They can pursue being a supermodel, a rock star or a movie star. It's also the first time you can follow your Sims to 'work'.

I found the game mildly entertaining. I guess I found it just a little to time consuming working my Sims up to superstardom. It does take some work, and the obsessed fan does get annoying at times, especially when he can steal your Sims awards from their house! And the social interactions were pretty limited when you first start out by trying to make friends with other star sims, I mean you can only gush about someone's superstardom so many time before they get annoyed (and they do!)

But I do give it a 4 out of 5. Mainly because it is fun going to Studio town, and the new objects are neat as well. Also because to become a star it posesses a bit of a challenge and that can be fun at times.

All in all if you are a hardcore sims fan, you'll most likely love this exspansion pack.

My daughter (11) is or big Sims player in the house. She has gotten pretty bored with the last few Sims expansions.

Not with Superstar. She loves the fashion, the new jobs, and house additions. I agree. I think this is a big homerun for the Sims line. Great job EA.
