the best in racing

It`s not much to say but,they have 30 drivers,20 courses,and 1 campion.Well you heard of him from previos F-Zero games and smash bros.,Captian Falcon.THE ORINGIAL RELEASE DATE WAS, 8/25/03
plus those cars are fast and hot.

that person who said this was was horrible is worng, on practice mode they send your ship back to the track if you fall of. Also of course it has g force freakin speed, at a sharp turn you will be going 1,000 or 900 kelometers an hour. You also can unlock over 40 speed demons thats out there, you can ulock 10 on the story mode, but the rest you have to buy. You can also create your own lightning speed ship, you can put logos on them and you can name it, but the comp will name it depending on the parts you used. Also you have to pick a pre made character and you can make your own emblems. This game is so freakin hard though, even on easy its hard. i beat all three championships but i am only on the 4th level because i have to buy the chapter, but i don't have enough money. Thats what they need to change. Also the voices were ok, but Captain falcons wasn't, because he speacks in that deep voice like a super hero does, but its too deep. Also this game is just about getting to black shadow, but you haven't gotten to him yet because on the levels you would be doing somthing else than getting black shadow, but this game is alright. The graphics have great detail and the gamplay awesomly fast. Also it has good scenery but you can't se the scenery going at 1,000 kelometers, but on practice mode you can stop and look around. So get this game its great.

A good game falls short of being great.

F Zero GX has finally arrived complete with 4 cups actually there are 5 if you take your memory card in to the F Zero AX machine,new tracks,all your favorite drivers from the past plus a few new ones.So whats the problem with F Zero GX?Well there are quite a few things and one of them is the graphics.When I was reading about this game in Nintendo Power, I was expecting a visual masterpiece like Metroid Prime but the minute I played it I was sorely disappointed by the way this game looks.Sure maybe I missed some of the "great details" because of the extreme sense of speed but the games just looks dark and gloomy and not bright and coloful like the original F Zero or F Zero X.What do I think of the graphics?Call me spoiled but I think they kind of suck.This is forgivable because of the clever track designs and fast speed however but there is another thing that bugs me about this game(the difficulty).When I played Story mode I finished the first level in just a few hours but the 2,3, and 4 levels took me too months to finish and yeah I felt good about completing them but I felt it pointless to play anymore of it even though on occasion I do.The 1,2 and 3 cups are really easy if you got the right vehicle but the 4th and 5th(the one you unlock if you take your memory card to the F Zero AX machine)were extemely hard no matter what craft you selected.And yeah I finished them but they were extremely and I mean extremely frustrating.Again I felt happy that I got through with them but playing those cups again is just pointless.And while this game is fun it isnt worth your 50 bucks.I think its worth it if it was on sale for 20 but 30 would be pushing it.I think the biggest problem with this game is that it doesnt offer anything new at least anything good thats new.I thought F Zero X for the N64 was a much better game and while this game is good it isnt "awesome" like the writers at Nintendo Power were claiming it to be.While I play this game on occasion it has very little to bring you back to play it again.Im glad I still have an N64 with F Zero X to boot.

I PICKED THIS UP IN A TOYS R US A FEW DAYS AGO AND I LOVE IT. I ALSO PURCHASED PIKMIN 1 WHICH IS VERY HARD TO GET. GO TO TOYS R US FOR THE OLDER GAMES BECAUSE PEOPLE THINK THEY WON'T HAVE A HUGE SELECTION AND GO TO GAMESTOP INSTEAD. TRUST ME SINCE A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T GO THERE TO BUY GAMES GO THERE THEY HAVE A GREAT SELECTION OF NEW AND OLD GAMES.

BACK TO THE REVIEW. THIS GAME WAS 20 DOLLARS. WHAT A LOW PRICE FOR A GREAT GAME. THE SENSE OF SPEED THE SENSE OF SPEED. THE SPEED EFFECTS ARE AMAZING YOU REALLY FEEL LIKE YOUR GOING 500 MILES PER HOUR. THE RACES ARE HARDER IN THE MORE ADVANCED STAGES BUT WHEN YOU GAET BOOST YOU CAN JET TO THE FRONT OF THE PACK. I MEAN THAT YOU CAN BE IN 30TH (THERE ARE 30 RACES IN 1 RACE) AND HIT BOOST AND BE IN SECOND THEN YOU CAN HIT IT AGAIN AND YOUR IN 1ST. WATCH YOU ENERGY METER THOUGH. EVERY TIME YOU CRASH OR USE BOOST YOU LOOSE ENERGY, YOU GET IT BACK BY RIDING OVER PINK STRIPS ON THE TRACK THAT REFILL YOU METER. A HINT IS IF YOU NEED ENERGY AND YOUR A LITTLE BEHIND OR JUST WANT TO GET FAR AWAY FROM THE PACK BOOST ACROSS THE PINK STRIPS YOU DON'T LOOSE ENERGY AT ALL.

THE AI IS WAY CHALLENGING BUT THAT MAKES FOR SOME HARDCORE RACING. THE IS NO RUBBERBAND AI SO YOU CAN BE 50 MILES AWAY FROM WERE YOUR OPPENENTS ARE. YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN SHIPS WHICH IS COOL BUY PARTS, NEW RACERS AND NEW CHAPTERS FOR STORY MODE. YES STORY MODE. IT IS A NICE ADD ON TO THE GAME THAT IS ENJOYABLE TO PLAY AND WATCH THE AMAZING STORY UNFOLD.

IF YOU OWN A GAMECUBE AND WANT SOMETHING MORE OUT OF A RACER F-ZERO GX IS GREAT FOR YOU.

this game is bad seriusly. The levels are mostly all striaght, u barely turn ur frigging ship. Also the point og the game is to use boosts the whole game to pass ur opponents. WOW. Ur ship has like no health. U hit the wall 10 times and ur done. The stages with actual turning u will hit the walls multiple times. And yay there goes ur ship. when u fall off the edge, or ur ship explodes, it doesnt send u back to the track like a good game, it starts over. wow nintendo u people are idiots for doing something like that, i played it for 10 mins and hate it. .....

this was an okay game. not one of the best racing games i played but it was alright. the graphics and scenry was cool though. but i wouldn't buy it.

F-Zero tough

This game is tough. Twitchy controls with very little lateral feel. High speed thrills with completely unrealistic turning and braking. In short, a great arcade game.

The unforgiving physics of the game give a quality which is just this side of frustrating. On some tracks, an hour of replays is necessary before attaining a level of competence.

I am reminded of coin-ops back in the day. Total fun - Highly recommended.

As I stopped by my local Gamestop, I stumbled upon this bargin-bined game, F-Zero GX. I immediatley bought it as it was slashed through a barrage of sale prices. I have to say though, this game is worth any price put upon.
For those who are unfamilar with this game, F-Zero is what we call a "futuristic" racing game that takes no mercy. Begining the Grand Prix Mode beginners may pee in their pants because this game is not easy.
The racers are pretty diverse, ranging from Samuaris to aliens to human beings, most of the racers are gone due to the fact that you have unlock them by winning the Grand Prix, which again as I said in the previous paragraph, can be hard at times.
Although the backcover of the game claims to have "20 tracks" its pretty much the same 5-6 track but with nostalgic loops and hard turns.
Now the difficulty of this game can lead beginners and moderate players bitting their controller. The AI in this game can be pretty cheap during segments of the races; while I was heading towards the end of the race I was in first place and I was on the home stretch, one narrow gap and I win! So I think. All of a sudden, 5 racers begin endeavoring to crowd already small gap and kill me off since I forget to mention there's an energy bar. Yes, for boosting and your way of "defending yourself."
Overall this game is okay. veterans of this series and those stepping up to the plate will love the action, the nostalgia races, cool music and the challenge itself to be the best.
