Playing God

This game is quite enjoyable. It is a huge step ahead of the original Sims game, which I lost hours of my life to. The graphics have had quite a boost. There are a ton of new options for what you can do with other sims. In this version, your sim ages, which has its ups and downs. It's cool that a child is now able to become an adult, and an adult can become an old man. However, the time phrame for which you have between being an adult and being old seems a little short for my taste. Not a whole lot of time to move up in the business world. An aspect of this game that I really enjoy is the satisfaction meter which can be filled by meeting certain goals. If you meet enough of these goals, such as buying a particular item or having a child, your meter fills up and can help to increase your mood. Overall it's a good game with a lot of new features. If you enjoyed the first game, this is a must.

I have Sims 2 and all of the expansion packs and add-ons. This game is definitely worth the investment. However, although it's highly fun and addictive at first, after awhile it does get boring. Each expansion and add-on will renew your interest if you do get bored with it. And don't forget to visit the official Sims 2 website for product updates (will fix most glitches you may encounter). There are many many MANY hints, tips, and cheatcodes for this game as well. Use them wisely, as cheats DO ultimately tend to ruin the challenge and hence, fun.

I remember playing the first version of the Sims in middle school. The best part about it was building and decorating the houses. The Sims 2 gives you the best part about the original Sims, but with even better graphics and more storylines to follow. I would recommend this to anyone. I'm not a big video game or computer game player, in fact the Sims 2 is the only one I own. But it's great.

Fun Game , These games seem have lot of graphis and if dont have a powerful one it seems to lock up computer. Have to shut down almost everything on mine to get it to run right.

im 13 and when i was first 11 i got the sims on the xbox and i played it from 3 in the afternoon until 6 in the morning! I was hooked it was so addicting, and i didnt know that there was even a pc version of it.I thought noone really knew about this game and was unpopular! BOY I WAS WRONG! This game is the best game in the world ever! Then i got sims 2 on the xbox and there was better graphics but you couldnt make children. Then the christmas we just had i got the SIMS 2 GAME! The game was so amazing with everything i couldnt of even immagened!The game is the best and im addicted and forgotten about things in my life and zoned out and in this game and im forced off of it.I will always love the sims 2 game forever! :]

Installed but won't run

My 4-month old computer (well exceeding game requirements)installed the game just fine, but when I tried to play Sims2 I got, "Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select OK and restart application." I have the DVD version. Body Shop and Bonus Disk work OK, just not the game. EA told me to send it back for a replacement - I hope it works. I love the Sims games and was looking foreward to this one. I have EA's 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' with very similar system requirements, and it has beautiful graphics and runs great.

Doesn't Work -- Always Crashes

This game does not work despite the patches and tech support. It will always crash at random times during game play. Also, if you do get it to work, it is so slow that you decide that you don't really want to play anymore. I'd give it a higher rating if it actually worked.

the sims 2 sounds really cool.i heard you can have 3 floors and your sims have dna that they pass on to their children example if the mom has red hair maybe her child will inheirite her red hair.i also heard there might be stores and different schools.all i can say is HURRY UP MAXIS because i cant wait that much longer.

I only found out about the Sims2 on Monday and am already filled with anticipation for it to come out. I have read many reviews and info, and have seen hundreds of screenshots.
I heard that there will be twins and triplets and that the simmums will get a few days off work to look after the babies.

This game is going to be 1000 times better than the 1st one and I cannot wait.

This is going to be the best game ever!!

I cannot wait until TS2 comes out. I've played the original Sims games for hours on end. With TS2, I'll probably become sleep deprived and starving because I won't be able to pry myself off the computer!

I'm already making wonderful plans as far as what kinds of families I'll create. My sims will either be tortured (hehe) or pampered. :-) Ahh, and it'll be so much fun to watch them live in 3D and actually grow up!

I think EA has made a wise decision. TS2 will bring in millions. I can't wait to hear about patches to TS2, such as pets and so on.

...bucks to control lives? I think so!
