i was excited to see the game was out so i came to good ol' amazon for reviews only to see 438 reviews about shipping. come on! where's the moderator? how bout a review of the game people!?! you all gave 5 stars to reviews about bad shipping. WAKE UP!

A chance for a better life

If, like myself, you have failed miserably in real life, you will not find a better second chance at being successful. It took me a few goes to get the hang of it (my first character flunked school and became a male crack-whore with a stammer, before getting whacked by a mobster named Kenny la Monza) but before long you will find an entertaining surrogate-life that you can devote yourself to. The level of realism here is breathtaking. I was literally in floods of tears when my character got divorced from his wife, after the discovery that she had been working in the adult-film industry. Still, his drinking problem cleared up after he found peace with the church of Satan and he has recently developed a more meaningful relationship with his transexual son than I could ever hope for with Horace.

This is an excellent update to the original game. There are so many more options, features, and abilites that at first it seemed overwhelming. It's very easy to catch on to, though, and by the end of your first day of playing you'll be addicted. I absolutely love this game.

According to all of the things I read about The Sims 2, it sounds AWESOME! I can't wait till it finally comes out. I thought The Sims 1 was addictive; I wonder just how addictive the Sims 2 will be!;)

I love the sims!I have reviewed a lot of reserch first it said it was going to come out March 15,2004 and i've been waiting a long time but, now i hear it's comming out June 15,2004 and i dout that i can wait that long!It looks like so much fun!I own Tha Sims2 and every expansion pack!I just can't wait for the time generation and all this cool stuff! Sure, the graphics are good, if you can get them loaded in a timely manner. And yeah it's neat how you can customize some more, but as you try to adjust the facial features, etc. it distorts the image even moe so you really don't know what the final result will be. And having to control everything and I do mean EVERYTHING in the game is annoying. I fine to work for goals and things like that, that was part of the fun for me with The Sims, but you're basically running the software yourself and it takes away fromt he gaming experience. Give it a shot if you want, but if I had known this stuff from the beginning I would have saved my money.

Love the game!!!!

I ordered this game in august and amazon shipped it on the 15th and i got it on the 16th! At first it didn't work with my computer(i have windows XP home edition), so i had to buy a graphics card which best buy installed. WOW the graphics are AMAZING!!! The game is very addicting also.I highly recommend if you buy the game you buy the sims 2 game guide with it, it gives alot of really great tips that i never would have figured out by myself.If you liked the original sims you'll love this game.BUY IT!!!

The Sims was the best game I ever played when I bought it! I eventually purchased ALL the expansion packs! I was sooooo~~ excited when I heard about this! The kids are actually gonna look like the parents (DNA), they can marry maids and stuff, know who thier family is and know where thier room is!(thier own) They arent as stupid either! The Create A Sim features are WAY better and also this game is gonna be worth the wait! Ahhhh I cant wait!!!!!!!!!

Although I, as many others have not played the Sims 2, rate it 5 stars because of my expectation. I have been to many websites, and can say that there will not be basements. In the Sims 2, they will not be able to do their laundry. Also, you will be able to put makeup on your Sims. I am almost 100% sure of all the preceding. I sincerely hope that Maxis makes this Sims the best it can be, without postponing the game release any longer.

TS2 sounds great. I am a big fan of S1. A few weeks ago I was talking to my brother telling him that I wished Sims have more floors and that the people didn't just stay at one age, and now I know that it can actually happen. Having a vacation house, four stories (three above ground and one below) this sounds great. I agree with other people Sims shouldn't be rated T it should be rated E(I'm not a teen but quite soon to be). I think the downfalls of this game are it is not coming out in time for Christmas and I heard that they don't have pets. What? No pets. That doesn't sound to well. I am quite happy that Maxis has actually made up their mind to make this because it sounds so much fun. When I get it I am actually gonna write a review on it after I play it. I think this is so cool. If I could I would give this item infinty stars right now. This game sounds so great.
