Hopelessly addicted...

Graphics, shmaphics. As the Playstation is a 32-bit system, the graphics on this game aren't perfect, but let me tell you, the gameplay is unbeeleevable!! I must admit at first I was overwhelmed by the number of tricks, many more than the original THPS, but after a few hours, I was in love with the smooth flow and huge palette of tricks and grind options Even if you've never thought of picking up a skateboard, you'll probably find this is one of the most fun and rewarding gaming experiences ever. Tons of cool special tricks, lots of secret/hidden parts to the game, and the skater and skatepark create option guarantees you may never get bored with this game- it essentially provides for an infinite number of levels to skate which can be tailored to your own personal taste. Even the uninitiated will find that after a few hours (which fly by alarmingly fast!) the controls are easily masterable. Before you know it, you'll be pulling off physics defying, humanly impossible trick combos, and be hopelessly addicted, just like me!

tony hawk pro skater 2 is probably the worst video game ive ever played the graphics ar very bad!! the streets are terrible and its the same game as the first one. this is a warning dont waste your money on tony hawk pro skater 2

There is simply no better skateboading game. Don't even bother playing Grind Session or Street Skating 2. They are okay, but don't even compare to Tony Hawk 2. It plays just like the first game, but is infinitly better. All new levels, more skateboarders, secerets to keep you busy for months, this game has it all. Almost any gamer can get in to this game with no sweat. The learning curve may be a bit high when you first start, but after three levels, you will be a pro. You can create your own skater, create new skate parks, buy states and tricks to add even more depth. The possibilitys are endless. The only gripe I have is there aren't enough levels. The game can get extremly repetitive after you unlock every level in the game. Despite this, it is still an exellent game, that no true gamer can be without.

I first played this at my friend's house, and I LOVED IT! It's full of cool moves, and interesting modes, like HORSE. I've never played the first Tony Hawk game, so I can't compare it to this one. ...Three words: BUY THIS TODAY! I ask nothing more.

I don't have this game for play station, but I do have it for game boy. if you love to skate board, but can't do it , this is the game for you. All I have to say about it is that it's great. ***** out of 5 stars.

this game may have overdone it. The second to this series finds Tony a bit older and wiser. You now have to perform harder tricks to gat paid, so you can pay for better stats and better equipment, and only after you earn a certain amount, then you can proceed to other levels. This becomes bothersome. But if that wasn't enough now you can learn new tricks(after paying for them) which you can perform after peak performances and hitting the correct combo buttons. Most times after playing you want to take a nap. You almost long for the days when you just skated or died. I believe the next Tony Hawk game may be set up where Tony becomes retired and as a new recruit you have to fight crime with your new batmobile and skateboard. That's of course only if you make enough money to open those levels up.

This game is fun but almost everything you do is impossible. The game is fun and challenging but it doesn't get even close to looking real. Trust me, I love skateboarding and I would wait. the first one allowed you to jump off of a building and land, at least you can't do that as easily in the second one but in both games you get right back up after getting hit by a car and a skateboard magically appears under your feet. The makers should have been on earth, in the real world when they designed the game.
