I never thought I'd see the day...

...that I would be playing a Sonic the Hedgehog game on a Nintendo system, but times certainly have changed. Sonic Advance is pure Genesis-esque 2-D fast paced side scroller action that will keep you playing it for quite a while, even after you beat the game due to some great added features. You can pick to play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Amy; each of which have their own abilities (and personalities) that makes each run memorable. As an added bonus, you can raise Chao like you could in the Sonic Adventure games for the Dreamcast, plus you can link up with the Gamecube and it's Sonic Adventure 2 Battle game, and there are a few mini games included here as well. The only flaws are, as the Amazon review says, the usual cheap Sonic deaths and short runs through levels, but all that is quickly overlooked when you realize how fun this game is. Strongly recommended if you've had enough of Mario or you loved the old school 16-bit Sonic games.

Sonic GENESIS revival!

This game compiles the best features of the classic Sonic games, its fast, its fun, and they even brought back the pinball night zone! Awesome! Plus, there are bonus stages a la Sonic 2, 4 playable characters, and i think Super Sonic is in there too.

This game is great! You can be 4 Characters- Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. There's 6 huge levels, and if that's not enough for you you have to find all the Emeralds to beat the game! With all four characters! If your looking for a incredibly fun and long lasting game, Sonic Advance is the one!

All right! They have an excellent game here! But it's in second place. Here's what I think the order shoud be in
1. Sonic Advance 2
2.Sonic Advance
3.Sonic Advance 3
Sonic Advance is a very slow but challenging game. You can play as Sonic (of course),Tails,Knuckles and Amy. They all seem to be different in some way. Sonic is fast,tails flys,Knuckles glides and Amy uses a hammer and jumps high. This game is great except the characters go too slow.

Grandson borrowed this game from a friend of his and couldn't put it down so I ended up buying one for him. Bad move -- now I can't get him to do his work for playing the game!! He loves it!

Sonic "Advances"

To people following this series, the game is a must. If you're a new comer you may not be famaliar with some of the features. You must have past Sonic expierence to get the controls, the basic storyline and other things. It's not a hard concept to grasp but for non-sonicfans or people who are indifferent to the blue hedgehog it could be hard. The game has great music and has a sort of Sonic3 style. Sonic travels through outrageous environments, beaches, hilltops, ice, water , even outer space, but I won't give too much away. Now Sonic,Tails,Knux and Amy are playable in 32 bits and they all have cool new moves to give them the edge. And Robotnik's back in his biggest and baddest yet, threatening the exsistence of life. If you're a sonicfan you'll get a lot of quality entertainment and sort of classic music.

This game is awesome! Playing as either Sonic,Tails,Knuckles,or Amy makes the game so much more interesting.(Spoiler!): There is even a secret Final Level with a tough boss and extended ending!
Each character has his or her own special attacks such as Amy's Piko Piko Hammer and Knuckles' 3-Punch uppercut combo.

I personally think the game is gonna be great. It it is Sonic isn't it? Sega is still making it. They are just puting it on a different system. I mean Sega made the choice and I think we should respect that. Besides they are professionals. It is still gonna be all Sonic. And a true Sonic fan wouldn't care what system it's for. I think people should just give it a chance.

way too easy

i got this game about 2 weeks ago. just yesterday i beat the whole game! thats right the whole game. i didn't play for 12 hours just an hour a day. even the mini game Choas garden where you take care of a little blue thing. to feed or give it toys you have to go and get coins from it's retard games like memory, barney style and rock, paper, scissors variation. i sold the game today for 15 dollars to a 7 year old. i know 15 dollars, well that's about how much it's worth. Amy is a "hedge hog" but doesn't do the spin thing sonic does. instead she has a hammer which does about the same damage as sonics moves. Knukles glides through the air and climbs walls. tails flies but for thorty seconds. and sonic well yeah spin moves. i would give it -5 but stars don't go that low. DO NOT BUY IT OR TRADE FOR ANYTHING! IT SUCKS. 11/14/02
