This game rocks! Not only are you allowed to choose your gender, but this game is full of surprises! One of the surprises is when you find Latios. This sneaky critter changes places every time you go in a building ar cave and when you change routes. There is writing in braille in some places. If you want to get the master ball, get a stragety guide or stumble across it. Now, It's much easier to use the map. Now, you're the child of the fifth gym leader! Now, there are 2-v-2 battles! Get this game if you are a pokemon fan!

I owned Sapphire before I got Ruby and most people would say that these games are the same but I don't. Ruby has sooo much better Poke'mon then Sapphire dose. If your looking for a Poke'mon game don't go Sapphire go Ruby!

For all the people that think there has to be another pokemon game there is but there is no release date for the usa but I am guessing that it should come out late 2004. They are called pokemon fire red and leaf green they are remakes of blue and red but for the later versions if you are thinking what is version green? Green never made it to the usa but in japan they got red and green as there first old versions and blue as a later version.Also this is a secret that came out in september there is going to be a bundle pack in japan but I dont know about the usa but it is going to be bunddled with the game it is a wireless link to link up your 2 3 or 4 or even 5 GBASP's with out the wire and this time you can link up 5 people now. Also the pokemon game will be able to be linked up to pokemon colosseum and compatable with rubby and saffire.

This game is fun. No doubt about that. But you only get to explore Hoenn. It also doesn't have all the pok'emon from previous games. In my opinion, it isn't as good as gold or silver.

This game is the best!!! I've beaten the Elite 4 and I am still hooked! It just stinks that you can't get all the Pokemon yet, and I still hate it that you can get some Pokemon only from Nintendo or GameShark (GameShark messed up one of my games, so I don't recommend it.). It makes it impossible to win unless you are at E3 or Pokemon Center NY all the time. But anyway, the new Pokemon are cool, except for Blazekin (I don't like him).

Pros:
Lots of new Pokemon.
Thick Storyline
New evil people (Team Rocket was getting boring)
Minun and Plusle (The best new Pokemon)

Cons:
Some frustrating parts you could never figure out on your own (like catching the Regi)
You can't get all the Pokemon in the game (need to get some from E3 and Pokemon Center NY)
Blazekin (The worst new Pokemon)

This is a great game. You may battle a lot of people over and over again. You get tons of money when you win. If I were you, I'd buy this game but that's just me. Saphire is a great game also. Both games are the same but they both have different Pokemon. I like Saphire the most.

ruby and sapphire are the best gameboy avance games out there. there are 202 pokemon total whole new cool world 2on2 battles 4 way link cable e reader compatable. the only problem with the game is the took out alot of cool pokemon like gengar,porygon and steelix and you cant trade to g/s/c/r/b/y. although you can get the old pokemon with action replay/gameshark
