Good and Bad

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 1 / 2

While playing this game, I found it much harder than any of the other pokemon games, which I found good. My fighting style is to get a ghost to put something to sleep, then get a dragon to finish it off in one move. If you evolve the bird Swablu then it is a dragon that can make stuff sleep. Sweet!
2 on 2 battle is very fun, but you can't trade in any pokemon from any of your other games unless it's ruby-ruby sapphire-sapphire, ruby-sapphire. That Tyranitar/Dragonite team you've spent weeks breeding into level 5 larvitar/dratini with the best TM moves are worthless, since you can't trade them.
Berries don't grow one per tree per day, but you can grow your own, and there are beauty contests on pokemon now, but they'll probably be completely useless on the battlefield if you make them for showing off.
Overall rating would have been 5 instead of 2, but after I beat the Elite Four and Pokemon Master, and still can't find most of the old 251 pokemon, the rating drops quick. Also, I can't find a way to get to Johto or Kanto, that might be where they are.
Lastly, as a Dragon Fanatic, most dragons, aside from Gyarados, Tropius, and Sceptile (treecko) most of the dragons are found by Rock Smash. NOT EASY. Good luck, Trainers!

13 And Still Trying To Catch Em' All

I am 13 and still playing Pokemon.I just got this game today and have yet to play it because i lost my game boy advance. But i am assuming it will be a good game. It seems quite fun. All of the Pokemon games that I have are. I have the blue, yellow, silver, and gold versions. The one problem is not with the game but with the system. I think it will be anoying how you cannot trade with older versions of Gameboy, so you need two GBA's. And Nintendo should change the plot of the games. Its the same thing over and over again. Go to the gyms, collect badges, beat up team rocket (now team magma/aqua), try to become the best trainer, and find the one special pokemon. Other than this i think it will be a good game.

Pokemon Ruby

Pokemon Ruby is a very fun game.If you like the other ones you'll like this one too.You get to choose if you want to be a boy or girl, like in Crystal version. You choose your name but not your rivals name, I think because people would name their rivals curses, but lets not get in to that.Ruby is an easy game to understand but not to beat. Not all pokemon are in this game, such as lugia or ho-oh.To beat the game you must encounter Groudon you don't have to catch him just encounter him.You have to beat eight Gym Leaders, the Elite 4,and the Champion, Steven. There are 200 pokemon catch-able without a gameshark. There is a trick house where you try to find someone concealed in somthing after that you go behind a scroll and find another scrool press a at it and your peson will memorize the code on it then find a different door and press a at it and you can pass through youll find the trick master in there and he'll give you a item and you do that many times at the last one he'll run out of tricks and will give you a blue tent for your secret hideout. It is a hell of a game!

This pokemon game will be the best yet! It's coming on March 19 is so cool. Along with the pokemon yellow, red, blue, gold and silver, this one is the most updated. with more then 100 new pokemon including the famous Mew, Mewtwo an Celibi that will rank it best. Luckely its coming out on my Birthday! But the game will also unleash the new, 2 pokemon battles and very updated pokedex. I have been awaiting the game boy Advance only version of pokemon. Probebly like me you can't wait either. So i'm saying all you pokemon fans this is the game for you!!!

Just to start off, this game is essentially the same as Pokemon Sapphire, for those of you who are new to Pokemon. There are some differences, such as who the bad guys are and what Pokemon you can collect, but if you're just starting out with the series, don't worry about that. In the Pokemon games, you start off by choosing to be a boy or a girl, and then you get right into the game. The goal here is to capture wild Pokemon by battling them. Then, you train them so they will be strong enough to fight other trainers' Pokemon,

Pokemon Ruby is a great new addition to the Pokemon family, anyone who enjoyed any of the other Pokemon games will love this one just as much. Even if you are just starting out with the Pokemon games, this is a great way to get in on the action. Ruby has more than 200 all-new Pokemon to capture, updated graphics, new battle styles and tons of other great features.

At its heart, this is an RPG, so if you hate them, stay away from this game. Of course, if you love RPG's, this is a great game for you. The graphics are also wonderful for an RPG on the Game Boy advance. It plays just like the previous Pokemon games (looking in a 2D-like position over your character, but that's pretty good, considering this game is going to take you a VERY long to beat), but now there are added effects such as rain and volcanic ash.

The sound is (thankfully) much better than that of the previous games. The soundtrack fits the game and is pleasant to listen to (if you play for hours on end though, it can get kind of annoying, but that's why you can the sound off).

The most notable new battle mode is the battles where you can have two of your Pokemon battle at once. You can use this to get a good advantage over your opponent by using different type Pokemon together.

And then there is the multiplayer function (you're going to need a game link cable and another game pack, however). You can battle your friend's Pokemon in head-to-head battles, and even trade Pokemon with each other. You can't trade Pokemon with any of the Game Boy Color games though.

Pros:
New graphics
New battle modes
Hundreds of new Pokemon

Cons:
Can take a while to get from one place to another
Wild Pokemon get really annoying when they attack you every five seconds

This is definatly an excellent addition to the Pokemon family. RPG and Pokemon fans alike will love this game (you're going to be staying up late playing this one).

I choose treeko

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 1 / 2

I chose treeko because he is a grass pok'emon. He is
strong against water but he's not strong aginst fire pok'emon . I should of chose torchich but i can always restart the game . Maybe I should restart the game. The fire pok'emon are strong against water grass normal and ghost pok'emon. My favorate type of pok'emon are fire ones I can only find a few. That is all I can tell you

I Choose Pokemon Ruby!

Three words: Ruby is GREAT! I love the graphics, I love the intricate design of the enviroments, and I love the music, which is so lifelike that it sounds like there's a band in the GameBoy! There are lots of hidden, secret items, unique and perplexing puzzles, challenging battles, and the Mach Bike's speed is thrilling.
The only setbacks are 1. that you can't go to any other region other than Hoenn, 2. the trainers in the S.S. Tidal don't ever change, and 3. the Battle Tower is completely unconquerable. The only thing I absolutely hate is the Sealed Chamber. I THOUGHT that I had solved its riddle, but when I checked the Tombs, nothing. It's very weird.
All in all, Ruby is a 5-star game. It and its (almost identical) twin, Sapphire (both of which I have), are outstanding; they are both true breakthroughs in Nintendo technology. I hope that FireRed and LeafGreen will be as amazing as Ruby and Sapphire.
