The absoulutely BEST Pokemon game!

This game is great! Now, you're probably thinking, "It looks just like gold and silver.." But it's not! I bought this game, and was amazed! There is much more to do! It's MUCH more funner then all of the other pokemon games! You finally get to choose between a boy and a girl, for yor trainer! For archeologists in the making, *like me! ^^*, this has the Ruins of Alph, a GREAT place to explore! You still get to have the basic Pokemon battling, but the trainers/Gym Leaders are tough! Much more tough the silver and gold! It's a challenge! But it's fun!

THIS GAME IS GREAT BECAUSE IT ALLOWS YOU TO CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTERS GENDER ANOTHER GREAT THING IS THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO GET THE GREAT CELIBI A POKEMON AS RARE AS MEW. AND PROBALLY ONE OF THE GREATEST THING IS THAT IT HAS SOME NEW CHARACTERS IN THE GAME. NOW THE GREATEST THING IS THAT YOU CAN GET THE G/S BALL JUST LIKE THE SHOW.

Pokemon Crystal Version is a good game but too similar to Gold and Silver to be a must-have game, unless you don't have either of these games or you just need to complete your Pokemon collection.
In this review, I would also like to clear up a few false rumors.1.In the American version, you cannot catch Celebi. 2.The game also does not have mobile phone capabilities.This was featured in the Japanese version of the game,but it was withdrawn from the American version.
There are a few "crystal-clear" differences from this game and the Gold and Silver editions.You'll notice these differences as you play.
As I mentioned before, this game is not recommended to anyone who already owns Gold and/or Silver version.

Pokemon Crystal is so cool. On that game you get to choose a boy or a girl. Now girl players don't have to be a boy. Also the pokemon move in that game. So when you look at your pokemon , they're moving. I think this is the coolest game. This is my review

Well, I've been reaserching everything about this game, and this is what I've found 1. Play as boy or girl 2. Pokemon make repeated motions w/ out using attacks (moves) 3. Can catch Celebi by A. Getting all 16 badges B. recieving GS ball from Prof. OAk C. Visit Ilex forest shrine w/ Gs ball and Celebi apears Celibi is half grass half phychic, dosen't get any grass type moves) 4. no new pokemon 5. compatible w/ pokemon stadium 2 6. I don't know, but think that the attacks might look different

With the amazing game play of the other pokemon games, crystal tops them all...its astounding clor graphics make it only playable on gameboy color and gameboy advance! By far the best feature on the game would be the battletower! Crystal also adds animation to pokemon..when you get in a fight with another pokemon you will see a quick animation! I rated this game a 4 because if you have already played gold or silver its basically the same but with some more add-ons...all in all crystal is a fantastic game for new players and old.

this game is the best pokemon game i have ever played. i got it a few days ago and i liked it. it might be almost the same as pokemon g/s, but it has some new stuff. 1.you get to pick a female and a male character,makes no difference who you pick. 2. pokemon have new locations. 3. pokemon now move, but only before battle. 4. there is a new battle tower west of olivine city, it is good for training pokemon. 5.in the daycare center the man will give you an egg but it is not togepi. 6.ice cave now looks like an icy cave. 7. pokemon learn new moves like eevee learns baton pass. 8. suicune is a major pokemon in the game. 9.sadly you can't catch celebi in the english version. 10. the trainers that give you there phone numbers now just don't call you for a rematch, they call you to give you items and stuff like that. these are just a few changes. there are still more enjoy the game

I have had every Pokemon game, including two yellows and pinball, and I can say without reservation that Crystal tops them all. Like Yellow before it little has actually changed, until you start wandering around western Johto. There you see a number of modifications, ranging from an all new battle tower to the release-the-dogs setup having Suicune dance around you.

Some other changes include a new radio show that can get you a free rare candy every three days or a free hp up, protien etc. every 5. Why is rare candy less valuable? I dunno. Also the trainers you talk to over the phone do more than say hi and goodbye, lets battle, or hey there's this pkmn over here. Some of them give valuable items, such as stones and miracle berries.

As for the Battle Tower, well, it's Pokemon Stadium 2 without the cool graphics. You take your three pokemon against 7 trainers with 3 pokemon each at lvl 10, 20, etc. that are at least as high as yours or higher if you chose. You cannot use items. Personally I don't see the point but since you don't have to go in who cares?

To summarize: The minor changes from gold and silver are far greater than those from blue/red to yellow, and worth it to a maniac.

Once again Nintendo has outdone themselves in their search for the ultimate strategy game. Pokemon Crystal, as is with all the titles in the Pokemon series is a fun, innovative game that will entertain all ages for hours upon hours. Any hard-core Pokemon gamer needs to buy this game to help them on the quest to be a Pokemon master. Any gamers new to the Pokemon phenomenom also MUST buy this game so that they too can enjoy the fun and strategy of this game. New in Crystal are: the addition of a female character (now the game is gender friendly), a new entrance when a Pokemon appears, extended play in the Ruins of Alph, an all-new Battle Tower(a new challenge for those who have already mastered the old games), and for those who still are on the trail of the three lengendary cat Pokemon-Suicune doesn't run away! Absolutely anyone will love the challenge of this game. Younger gamers will love the cute Pokemon and older gamers will apreciate the strategy involved. So whoever you are, to get the most possible out of your gaming experience, buy this game today!

This is really the best pokemoin game, nothin' to do with Blue/Red versions, it has more things to do than Silver and gold, The story is the same, but there's some differences.

Pros:
a) New female trainer (Named Jenny, Mariah, Kelis or Blu)
b) New puzzles and chambers at the Ruins of Alf
c) Suicune is easier to catch
d) When you reach to certain point in the game an ol' man gives you an egg that may contain a shiny pokemon like the red Gyarados, something like a yellow Marrill
e) More detailed graphics
d) New battle tower, ubicated near of Olivine City

Cons:
a) The first times you play you can get lost or don't know what to do
b) Could it be harder if you don't have Pokemon Stadium 2
c) Not suitable for impatient people

Overall, the story doesn't change at all, but there's more things to do, Another thing that I like is the time.
You shoud set the clock as the real time. It's very important, beacause there's special events at specific days or time of the day and night
