im just going to lay it on the line- pokemon crystal sounds pretty cool. now i will tell you the six things i know... 1. theres a rumor about a crystal onix being in the game, but i dont believe it. 2. theres a new rival whos obsessed with catching suicine. 3. you can choose your own gender in crystal. 4. the pokemon move now! (for instance: wagging tails, blinking eyes, etc.) 5.when you enter a new town or route a box pops up at the bottom of the screen and tells you where you are. 6. there is more info on the 26 unown now. thats it....

Pokemon Crystal is the very first video game I ever owned, so it holds a special place in my heart. It's incredibly fun (this holds true for all Pokemon games), the graphics are very nice, and--best of all--for the very first time, YOU GET TO PLAY AS A GIRL.
That's right; Nintendo finally acknowledged that girls like Pokemon too. I wonder why they didn't think of it before.
Besides having the option of playing as a girl, there are a number of other added features Gold and Silver didn't have. The Pokemon are animated when they show up, there are some new radio programs, you can get Suicune in a regular Pokemon battle instead of chasing him all over the galaxy, and the first time you go to the breeding center, you get a Pokemon egg that will hatch into one of many new "pre-evolution" Pokemon, with a fifty percent chance of being Shiny.
The only drawbacks I can think of with this game are that you can't get Mareep or Mewtwo. But even that isn't such a problem, because there is such a thing as trading with another game (excluding Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Colosseum, etc.).

In conclusion, this game may be more or less "out of print", but if you're a Pokemon fan and you don't have it, I highly recommend purchasing it.

Pokemon Crystal gives you the option of being a boy or girl, plus some other things. There are new pics of some Pokemon, and while you're battleing, the pics move! Some even growl if you take to long. There are rumors that you can catch Mew in several different places, and, of course, you can catch Celebi. It's almost a must have for any pokemon trainer^_^

I have heard things about Pkmn Crystal and here is what I know. You can choose to be a boy or a girl. You can catch Celebi without a game shark. Your new rival is obsessed with catching a legendary dog Suicune. Prof. Oak gives you a G.S. ball. There might be new places to go. A little box at the bottom of the screen tells you where you are. New people to battle. As long as its not the EXACT same as Gold and Silver to me it's worth it. Also your mom is supposed to have a guest when you come down from your room. All in all it sounds like a great game.

I'm a Pokémon diehard. I own all the Pokémon games, with the sole exception of Hey You, Pikachu!. I like the idea of owning Red, Blue, and Yellow, as well as Gold and Silver, all at once, because you can own more creatures and other stuff that way. But while Yellow had little improvements over Red and Blue (of course, there was that Pikachu surfing game...), Crystal offers many more changes to its predecessor than Yellow did. You can catch Celebi, for crying out loud!

Also, I heard someone here say that Nintendo took Mew out of the US versions of the first games. This is absolutely not true, not even in the Green version. You get a diploma in the Japanese versions, too. Well, anyway, there are lots more things to do in Crystal. There's a girl trainer, Pokémon animations, new graphics effects (the Burned Tower actually LOOKS burned, and the Ice Path has a slick new look), the Move Tutor, Battle Tower, and a lot more! Plus, it works with Stadium 2!

Well, I have read a preview in Nintendo Power Magazine and took a look at some screen shots and found out that Poke'mon Crystal is very similar to Poke'mon Gold and Silver. Only a few differences exist between these games, one you get to play as either male or female, two there are a few new Poke'mon that were created, and three there might be a couple more places to explor. In other words, this game isn't really worth it. Sure, a few of you viewers might think other wise, and I'm only telling you what I think. You people might find this game the best ever! But me on the other hand, think its the same as the others.

This is my alltime favorite pokemon game; you can play as a girl for once. The music isnt overwhelming like in the newer ones (fire red/leaf green) ,there are 16 badges (double the adventure ;D)I've always enjoyed this one out of them all.

From what I've heard this game is supposed to be really good.I'm assuming you can catch celebi(you could in the japanese version). You can be a male or a female. There is a battle tower in olivine city where you can choose what level pokemon you want to battle. If you beat the wise trio than you get a chance to catch suicune. Once you have all 16 bagdes than a nurse in a certain pokemon center will give you the GS ball. Take is to the pokeball man(kurt)and he will do something to it. Come back in a day and he will give it back to you. Take it to the shrine in Ilex Forest and celebi will appear,try to catch it(save before battling)and then you've got celebi.I'm going to by this game as soon as I can get it.

I love this game because I can play as a girl. I caught Lugia defeated Ash and it is a great game. Some people think it sux 'cause it is a GBC. i detest when you go on the boat to go to Johto and it it take a long time. I have beaten the elite four 2 time. Easy Pezey game. Here is some advice. Never lose confidence. Always keep it up. When I was fighting I almost lost. I had a grass pokemon he had fire (you know what that means)! I didn't have any potions. I just had confidence and didn't lose! And never ever ever ever ever EVER use a rare candy on pokemon. It rises it's level but spoiles the pokemon. Trust me i know.

This is really Awesome!

I like the crystal, gold, and silver line better than all the rest of the pokemon games. 1.) you have to get 16 badges, which include Jhoto, the new world and Kanto, the old world. Kanto is 4x harder too. 2) no more annoying legendary birds! 3.) eevee gets 2 new evolutions, Espeon (the best one) and Umbreon (the average one.) you can be a girl too!
