It all started when Red and Blue came out. Then Yellow version came out then Gold and Silver came out,and finaly crystal version will come out.In Crystal everybody wonders why you should be a girl. The answer is nobody has ever been a girl. In Crystal you could catch number 251 in the pokedex. If you are a boy or a girl in the game you probably wonder the pokemon that professor Elm is going to give you because Crystal is very similar to Gold and Silver as Yellow is very similar to Red and Blue. Pokemon traners would probably give you Cyndaquil,Chicorita, and Tododile just like in Yellow version when you get charmander, squrtle and bulbasaur. In Crystal when your on a different route a little box shows up and tells you the route your on.In Crystal you could trade pokemon by your phone. In crystal you can also get differint tm's they are the same moves in gold and silver exept as tetinchle machines. It has better graphics then gold and silver. What I like is that you have infinity moves. If your faviorite pokemon is celiby it is very easy to catch first you get the G'S ball you give it to Kert a person in azalea town for 1 day You give the G'S ball to Kert you pick it up and you put it in the Ilex forest on the shrine then celiby will appear. There are 16 badges .Somewhere in the game you will find a crystal onix. Why Susine probabley appears on the cover is that your rival wants susine. The other cool thing about this game is that you can see the legendary dogs in the grass.I cant wait until this came comes out on Augest 2 2001.It will be a fun journey.

This game is very cool. I first got yellow then gold. Now I have
Crystal, Red, Blue, Gold, and Yellow. This game is very fun and challenging. I Love the new Phone features. On Gold I could never get any stones except for Moon stones. But People on your phone list give you rare and valuble items such as stones. Thats one reason out of many that Crystal is the best Pokemon game you can buy. Most cheat websites say you can only clone Pokemon on
G/S but on my old file I had 2 level 100 Mews. So take that chapter cheats.
If you never played a Pokemon game before start out with Red
it probbaly is the easiest of any PKMN game out there.
All the little kids in my neighborhood ask me for help or they want me to catch Celebi which is impossible! Strike 2 for chapter cheats. I just started a new file on Crystal so I only have a Totodile, Gastly, Hoothoot, Poliwag and Togepi.
Well the other cheat is you can catch Entei in MT. Silver.
Strike 3 for Chapter cheats and there out.
Well I hope my review was Helpful.

Pokemon Crystal is fun like Gold & Silver versions but it is the same as those 2 versions!Except that there is a battle tower, the wild pokemon and other trainer`s pokemon move, you can choose your gender, and there is one new pokemon!I mean I have gold and silver version and I got crystal version and I thought it would be completely different but it was not that different so if you have ethier pokemon gold or silver don`t get crystal but if you don`t have gold or silver get crystal!

My daughter has always been a Pokemon fanatic so I natually had to buy her this version also. This is her favorite out of all the Pokemon games because of the fact she can be choose a girl as her character in the game plus she loves the trainers tower. This game provides hours of fun for any Pokemon fan and I highly recommend it.
Pokemon Crystal is wonderful!

I recently purchased this game and I must say that it is slightly more challenging that Silver and Gold. For one thing, Electric Pokemon are scarce in Johto(you can't catch Mareep), which means that you will have to change your stategy when it comes to defeating flying and water types.
The graphics in this game have changed. In Crystal, when a Pokemon attacks you, they move around prior to the first attack. Smaller children will enjoy this especially enjoy this, as some of them are very cute. Also, as many children have a difficult time capturing the legendary dogs, in Crystal you are given the oppertunity to catch one of them without having to deal with them running away.
Additional features in Crystal, such as the Battle Center and that you can choose to be a boy or a girl, give Crystal an interesting twist and give high entertainment value. My only complaint with Crystal is the fact that, if you purchased Gold, you will have a harder time completing the Pokedex. So far, I've noticed that certain Pokemon(Vulpix, Mareep, Skarmory) which could be caught in Silver can not be caught in Crystal. Also, unlike the Japanese Gold, Silver and Crystal version, you can not catch Celebi in the US version. However, despite these facts, the game is still very enjoyable and I would defintely recommend it for any Pokefan out there.
Do you ever feel an urge to catch a firefly?

Maybe it feels silly, but almost anyone can appreciate the satisfaction of going out and getting something you want, be it firefly, toad, the honor roll, or a promotion. This game (which is highly addictive (in other words, don't start it unless you have a lot of time to spare!!)) embodies that feeling in a way that is appealing to audiences of all kinds. Of course, the intriguing plot is what draws you in. A stolen Pokemon! Various new schemes from the evil Team Rocket, with only you standing between them and Pokemon domination! Legends that just MIGHT be true, and only need you to set them free! New features that have arrived even since the G/S games, particularly the existence of the 251 Pokemon... Oops! Did I just say too much? I'd better stop talking and let you decide what you think for yourself!! Buhbye!

This is, by far, one of the greatest games to be released ever. It may not have super fancy graphics or a shocking, deep, storyline, but Pokemon had its own unique charm that everyone can love.
Pokemon are mysterious creatures that live on Earth, or, possibly, an Earth-like planet. Each of them had unique and extraordinary powers. Currently, there are at least 400+ species of Pokemon, and about half of them live in Johto and Kanto combined. Those are the regions the game takes place in if you didn't know.
While the graphics aren't, they have their own style, using pixel pictures called sprites. Plus, the game was made a good few years ago, so you can't complain.
You start out as a young Pokemon trainer, (Male or Female) named _____.
That's right, you can choose your own name too! My example trainer for today will be a girl named Kris.
Kris soon embarks on a journey, collecting gym badges to prove that she has what it takes to become a Pokemon Master.
Soon, Kris will encounter a boy named ??? (Guess what? You get to name your rival as well! Cool! I'll call him Silver.) Silver is a trainer whom Kris will battle often in her journey, who often caused trouble around Johto. Silver is a headstrong trainer who is not above abusing his Pokemon, and he is tough to beat, so make sure you level up your Pokemon often.
There are hundreds of types of Pokemon waiting to be caught, so there are many, many varieties. I'm sure there's at least one Pokemon out there that'll catch your interest. (Get it? Catch? And it's Pokemon? Catch? Do you get it?...okay, I'll shut up now.)
Plus, the more you battle with Pokemon, the more they like you! There's a girl in a city called Goldenrod who can tell you how much your Pokemon likes you. It doesn't really add anything to the story, (Or lack thereof, as the whole game is pretty non-linear) it's still cool to see whether your Pokemon loves or despises you. Certain Pokemon can only evolve through friendship, as well!
There is also a subplot in Pokemon Crystal involving a man named Eusine, and a Legendary Pokemon named Suicune. I won't spoil anything, other than the fact that you will team up with Eusine occasionally, and eventually battle him. Plus, there is the added bonus of a chance to battle Suicune! (And, if you're lucky, capture. ^____^)
Raising, Befriending, and of course, Battling Pokemon, is what it takes to become a Pokemon Master. The battles, for any concerned parent, are not violent, and despite what those Anti-Pokemon idiots claim, pokemon are not forced to fight, and for crying out loud, Pikachu is NOT the second coming of evil. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, look around some of those, 'Anti-Pokemon' sites and see. Or, perhaps, don't.)
A wise quote from an in-game character:
"Pokémon are not tools of war..." - The Elder
So, to summarize my whole review in a sentence...
BUY THIS AWESOME GAME!!
