This game grinds Golden Sun's face in the ground!!

This is probably the best game currently for GBA. The game is about 3 times longer than GS 1 as well as being three times better. I went back and played GS after beating this one. and even Deadbeard is so easy to beat i almost fell asleep. The final boss takes an incredible amount of experience in fighting to defeat. BUY IT

Great game

GS:TLA is a great game; however, there seems to be a glitch near the end of the game in the Mars Lighthouse where when you obtain the Mars Star it doesn't appear in inventory for any of the characters and prevents further progression in the game. You're supposed to put this item in the dragon's mouth to open up a new area of the lighthouse, and I've tried this several times by turning off the game and starting over from the last save point but the same thing happens.

Golden Sun:the Lost Age is terrific! I have never seen such a cool game! Ok, so here are the new Adepts: Felix, Jenna, Sheba, and Piers. There's a huge eathguake at Venus Lighthouse. Jenna, Sheba, Felix and Kraden end up floating around on this little island when a tidal wave hits and-find themselves and a totally new continent. They decide to go light the last two Lighthouses. (Have they forgotten about Issac and co. already?? They could be on their backs if they don't watch it..;)...) So they meet this innocent guy in prision a few cities on. Yes...he's the Water Adept. But not so fast. You are NOT going to get Piers anytime soon. First go hunt down some pirates, get a new Psynergy, sneak through some mountains, and finally you meet the freed Piers lookin' for his Black Orb. It'll be easy just to sneak through this weird statue and go get it. Mhmm, sure. So it seems like a decade later when you finally get your lovely boat.
The rest, you can figure out yourself.
I would give this game a 5 star rating on graphics, battles and bosses, a 4.5 star for the music and the plot. Ok!! Go have fun with this game!

I own Golden Sun 1 and not Golden Sun 2, but I read tons of info, and already this game is gonna rock. If you love RPG's and puzzles your love this. The story picks up right after the first. After they have done the other lighthouses, they have to do the others. It has Jenna who appeared in the begginning of Golden Sun and her brother Felix. Though you are not Issac you get to be Felix. It also has Sheba who was in the first one too. There's just one new character. It's probably the best direct squel to a game in which it carries the same great gameplay. The game still has dijins which are little creatures that raise your power ups and can be summoned. Buy it, but you may want to buy the first one to pick up on the story line.

cool!!!!!!!!!!

golden sun 2 continues the story from the first game. You start out as Felix, Jenna, Sheba, and Piers (a new chracter) instead of Issac and his party. There's a lot more puzzles and some can get quite frustrating...
There's also 44 more djinns to collect. You also "earn" new summon spells instead of the ones from GS1. You can also transfer data from your old game to GS2 (as long as you have a "clear data". I'm almost done with the game and so far it's pretty good! Since I transfered my old data to the new game, I have too much money...(i had 999,999 coins in the first game, no cheats!) It's an awsome game if you're interested in rpg's. GO GOLDEN SUN 2: THE LOST AGE!!!!!!! W00T!!!!!

superb japanese atmosphere

This game is worth at least $30 (i got an original secondhand for about e14) and is a must have. It sets the standard for the GBA games. You really do need a walkthrough at a few points - I did, and haven't even finished the game (did about 60%) The puzzles are great and breathe that old 80's sokoban style. Absolutely amazing and lovely for older gamers.

One more thing: Buy all the Feathers in the shops, using them puts an end to the random encounters "Monsters won't attack you so often" it says. So much for that complaint!

Is this an RPG or a puzzle solving game?

The running around solving puzzles by pushing logs, rocks around, and freezing water puddles, etc, dominates more than 80% of the game play. The story is almost pushed aside and practically neglected as the primary objective of the game. The puzzles are fun in their own ways however.

THIS GAME IS THE BEST THAT I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this game by accident, but I'm glad I got it because it rules! At the store they accidentally gave me the Lost Age instead of the original. It's kind of confusing because the game continues the storyline that was started in the oringal, so I want to get the original. Now, the review:
Graphics 10/10
Music 10/10
Challenge 10/10
Battle 10/10
Storyline- since I haven't played the first game, how would I rate this?
Oh, yes, you will probably need a guide because this game is quite challenging. Something I like a lot is the size of the world and the ability you have to explore when you have the boat.

Man, this game really is complex. There are sidequests, 72 djinn to get and you start off the game with no idea on what to do next. There are combo summons, and the hardest boss of all the gameboy RPG's is included in the gameplay. Once you beat the lost age, it'll be almost impossible to find a game as good as it. There is a wide selection of GBA RPG's out there, and Golden Sun and Golden Sun 2 are some of the best. I reccomend both of them.

This game is tight

Man, this game is awesome! I had a tough time for a long time with this. I finally figured it out and it has been fun. I have had this game about 1 year and it still has not got old. This is a must have for RPG fans or just game fans in general!
