EXCELLENT! I really feel like I am getting a good value for my money with the subscription. So many hours of great game play. The 2 updates per week are a little annoying, but the bugs are being ironed out very quickly. I have always been a Conan fan and this game has me excited. The combat system is very unique and the game controls in general are challenging o learn but worth it in the end.

Conan Hyborian Adventures is a hit

I find it hard not to give a five star-rating for this product. There are reasons to rate it lower, yes, such as the fact that the launch was not smooth, there were and still are many glitches with the game, and there were promises not fulfilled (directX 10).

But there is so much more to this game than your regular MMO that originality and ingenuity alone makes this game a five-star. The combat system is incredible. The realism of models, scenes, textures and animation makes you feel totally immersed. The label rated "M for Mature" is extremely attractive for adults. The world has great and established content. The classes are balanced and unique.

The list goes on and on. People tend to judge things for what they are, but they miss the point of what they can be. There is an enormous potential with Age of Conan. Funcom has put so much effort in making this game graphically appealing and at the same time open-ended that it's no wonder AoC is a hit and will eventually replace the likes of WoW, LOTR and SWG.

If you are looking for the next step in the MMO evolutionary scale, this is the game for you.

fun, but still needs some work.

I wouldn't call this the worst MMO launch ever, there are just a lot of little things that they haven't finished yet. Funcom has put forth an aggressive approach to getting those problems fixed. They have patches coming out 2 days a week atm, with both minor and major things being fixed in both.

I've only played a melee class thus far and I have to say that the combat system for melee is one of the best I've ever played. You start out with 3 basic attacks; left, up and right. Then as you level up you get combos that require you to hit combinations of the basic attacks. At level 50 you end up getting 2 new basic attacks; lower left and lower right that you'll have to throw into combos. There is no auto attack so you'll have to be controlling your character the whole time while in combat.

This game is awful. Does not live up to the fanboys and hype

I was really looking forward to this game as the MMO's I play are quite stale.

Ive been playing MMO's since UO day 1. Played just about all of them. This is down there on the bottom. Its cool for a little bit, but then it just kinda craps out in the 30's and 40's. PvP is no different than anywhere else.

VERY DISAPOINTING. VERY VERY VERY. Glad I kept my lotro and daoc accounts going.

Should have waited longer

First Off i do not want to sound like im complaining there is too much of that out there as it is lol ... i simply want to state the facts.
There is some Pro`s and cons with this game and i just want every one to know what there getting for their money Esp in this economy

Pro`s
This Games highest quality is its graphics ... hands down the graphics are its best quality the Avitars you chose do not look overly cartoonish.
This is a mature game so your playing with other adults .. theres mild nudity and you dont have to watch what you say...
The game requires skill to play this game

The Con`s
I held off this long because i hoped things would change with patches and i didnt want to give anyone a bum scoop on the game

1. The game has very poor customer service ... tried opening a ticket and it went unanswered for 5 days ... then when they did answer it the GM sent me a mail telling me i wasnt online and canceled my ticket and said open another ticket to resolve issue i must be on line lol
2. Buyer beware the game is loaded with major bugs ... the patches have not been anything about fixing bugs only nerfing / buffing characters
3. The gathering Profetions are very porly implemented all items in the gathering quests are set to rare that means you have everyone including higher lvl charecters in low lvl areas farming the monsters to get the items that = lower lvl toons not lvling.
4. performance issues that they say they will fix hasnt come yet.
5. guilds that want to go onto higher teir citys harasing lower lvl toons to get more into their guild to help them farm mats if not / not join them they gank you or kill all the NPC`s in the area so you cant lvl ... lol

This game has allot of potential and wished it didnt have all the con`s to it..
This game really should have been beta teasted alot longer than it should have .. i already reserved my copy of Aion and will switch to that in Oct Funcom has a great game in theory just very poorly implemented

I had no idea

I've been playing MMORPGs for about a decade. I haven't had as much fun as I've had with this one. Amazon apparently messed up a lot of people's orders but dont hold it against the game. Feel safe in buying it, knowing it's very worth it. Sure, there's some bugs at launch, but most games have that. WoW had weeks of downtime and had a terrible launch. At least we get to play!

Awesome game.

Ground breaking is all I can say about AoC. The combat is no longer a snore and bore fest. The graphics are amazing. Anyone who complains about this game has not read any of Robert Howards works. I find it amazing to see places in game that I have read about through Howard's Conan stories. A definite good time is to be had with this one.

The graphics are great, sound is very good, game play is smooth, the interface is somewhat lacking but all in all a very nice game. That being said, unless you're 100% sure this game runs on your system, hold off subscribing. Go ahead and get it (you can download the client package from Funcom), install, and if you have a friend that will let you use their log in, test it. But if you buy it and subscribe your 30-day free timer starts. A lot of people are having issues, Google "Reading Content", and see. Funcom has yet to address these and it could be a major headache, not to mention a $48.99 paperweight.

I expected more

I hoped this game would have more substance, but it failed me in the fun department.
