A last blast for the blue dude

Last month my press agency sent my this inconspicuious demo featuring a short, blue hedgehog with a big, big grin. After three hours of grinding, running, flipping, and flying, I can safely say that Sonic Adventure 2 is yet another sure-fire hit coming down the line within the next month for Sega's still stellar Dreamcast. Sonic Team is re-vamping SA2, differentiating it from the original SA, by removing the slow-paced adventure stages. Now the game consists of straight-foward, blue-blured action, with a touch of Chao raising to boot. If you have ever loved Sonic, Sega, or gaming, Sonic Adventure 2 is one of the soon to be must-buy titles for you and/or your family. Not only is it a blast to play, but it manages to stay true to Sonic-style gaming in great fassion.

When i got this game is great from the start and is now even greater the day after! it the bolws away sonic aventure 1 the charters look very real unlike sonic avanture 1 .wow sonic aventure 2 rocks big time:)!! the poilt is great the music is great game play is great the levels wow there great too:)!!I love this game and the chao they are great :)!!I been plaing for mouth and loving the game all though I beet it but you to get 180 emblems to unlock a seact stage . this game is a must have !

Being grounded from it gave me withdrawal symptoms!

It's that good! I can go without caffeine longer than I can without Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Eggman, Knuckles, and the somewhat attractive (for a bat) Rouge. They removed the adventure fields, which is both a good and a bad thing. The bad thing is that you can't get much practice except in the Chao Garden, but you might hit some Chao. The good thing is that the items in the adventure fields in SA1 took me quite a while to find (it took me an hour to find the ID Card to get into Speed Highway in SA1!). Enough about that, let's get to the one thing this game is truly about: Speed. Needless to say, Sonic and Shadow, being the two fastest life forms on the planet, both capable of mach 1 speed, just blaze through their levels, and the framerate, which is 60 frames per second, is incredibly smooth. The best additions is their shoes. Sonic threw out the old shoes, and got himself a pair of Soap Scorchers, so now he can grind down rails and vines and other rail-shaped surfaces. Shadow's creator, professor Gerald, gave Shadow some shoes that I can only describe as "Soap Jet Skates", since they have jets, and Shadow skates on them instead of running. And yeah, he grinds too. Tails and Eggman have shooting stages, in which they are on mechs with life gauges that are replenished when they grab rings and chas drives. They have lock-on laser systems, then shoot lasers at their enemies, as well as use volkan cannons to destroy crates and boxes. And what is a Sonic game without Knuckles and Rouge? They have the most dreadful stages of them all: Treasure hunting. If anyone that ever buys this game actually gets and A rank of Rouge's Mad Space, I'd think I was dreaming. Sonic Team also added mini games to the mix, with go-kart racing, Chao races, and a 2-player versus mode. This just makes this game the best one I have ever owned, and I will atttempt to take this to college with me. But, there are two characters that are playable that I have not mentioned. Well, actually 8. You can play as Amy Rose, Chaos, a Chao, Big the Cat, Tikal, and Mecha Sonic in 2-player versus mode. And the two characters that I still have not mentioned are Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow. They appear in last side story, and are the best-looking hedgehogs to have existed on any platform gaming system. With all this, one question comes to my mind: the Dreamcast is no longer going to be made, why? Sega just continues to deliver, and now that they are going multi-platform, I pray that they make Sonic the Hedgehog games for Xbox. I encourage all you Sonic fans to do what I did: E-mail Sega, begging them to make Sonic games for Xbox. With that done, I will now continue to suffer withdrawal symptoms from not playing this game.

This game is the reason why I bought a Dreamcast, even after Sega gave it up. Until now, no game on the "superior" PSX2 looks this good! Very fun and challenging. Intense, breathtaking action, especially on Sonic's later levels. This is a MUST-BUY for all Dreamcast gamers!

I hope this reveiw will be good to anyone who is thinking about buying this game. This was my first gamecube game I ever got, and i still play it. One of the best things about it is that there is always something to do, whether it is trying to get all "A"s on the stages, still trying to finish up Dark or Hero mode, then there is the whole thing with raising chao. But the game has a good storyline, and you can play from the dark charcters point of veiw ( Dr. Eggman, one of the only times you can play him!, Shadow the Hedgehog, like the oppesite of Sonic, and Rouge the Bat, someone which does the same thing Knuckles does in the game,) or the hero charcters (Sonic, Knuckles and Tails). The soundtrack is good and graphics are also very good. But going through raising chao is a whole nother story. You transport to Chao World, and you hatch an egg, and give animals and Chaos Drives found in the level. The change drasticly and start to be better at certain things, I won't say some of the things that can happen, and make the chao look cool, but a hint is, unless you want a neutral chao, try raising it with only one side of charcters, hero or dark. That is the great thing with Chaos, you can never beat that part of the game. I hope my reveiw was worthwille for Sonic Adventure Battle 2.

Well i own a phansty star online game which i borught about two weeks ago and the sonic adventure 2 demo was in the case i played the game and let me just say that the game was something of the future. It had good graphics good gameplay even though you could not under stand a word that they say because it in jap. but the have the text screen to follow along.(I hope in the full version of the game that the words would be in english.)In the first stage you start off by sliding down on a city street with a metal board(which is very cool). The demo just is the future.But right now iam kind of upset because the release date has been change so many times. The first time it was sopposed to hit the stores on march 16 2001,then may 1-2,2001 now iam reading june 21-22-2001 come on i hope that sonic team can read this and make up their minds because people are waiting and waiting and then when it comes out no one is going to want to by it. But i give this game a 5 tumbs up and two toes. thats all for now happy gameing

I have lots to say! This is the fastest game I'll ever play!Tails (who almost didn't make it) is in the game (but will probably make an appearence in some robot-plane veichle). Bad guys (Shadow the Dark Sonic, Rouge the Bat, Dr. "Eggman" Robotnik) are playable, etc.!! I first played the game on a demo and I loved it! This game is going to rock the future games on Playstation 2 and Gameboy Advance and Gamecube!!! Did I mention that Sega pushed the rival limit (everybody gets one), Sonic Vs. Shadow-Dark Sonic, Tails Vs. Eggman, Knuckles Vs. Rouge-Female Bat. (They're all playable)

Well, from what ive seen in the demo, this game is going to blast shenmue and phantasy star online right out of the water.

Sonic Adventure 2 is a sequel to Sega's original smash hit Sonic adventure, but the graphics are much more advanced than Sonic Adventure. It has many characters to choose from like, Sonic the hedgehog,Tails the two-tailed fox,Knuckles the echidnia,Dr.Robotnick,Rouge the bat,and Shadow the Hedgehog. I think its Sega's best game yet and I encourage them to make Sonic Adventure 3, or something. You and grind down rails with soaps!

This game was awsome. I just played the first level but I loved it. You can grind on the poles and throw the little guys that help you around. You jump off ramps and do cool moves off them. You also run from a big truck and it destroys everythinng in it`s path. Also you can hit cars. Also you skateboard on a piece of metal in the begining. You can run on walls and do cool moves. Buy it or you won`t have the best game around.
