Ownage!

"Ownage" is all I have to say. I think all the other reviewers covered the other bases. A simply genuine and amazing Caribbean adventure.

Fun but "scripted"

This game is very fun and does suck you in. My only complaint is this. The same issue exists on all platforms including PCs. Some game developers create games that allow you to wander anywhere. Others create games that direct or "script" your progress. This is one of those games. You can see vast jungles but you really only get to explore a few yard wide path at any time. A good example of the other extreme would be Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV. In this game you can start walking in any direction and wander for nearly ever. Another example would be EA Skate.

So, Drake's Fortune is great but it is scripted. Its also not that long. I finished the game in about 3-4 nights a couple hours at a time.

Best story for a video game, ever.

This game pulls you into the story in the first minute. It blends cut-scenes and gameplay seamlessly. The characters are engaging, the dialog fresh and natural, and the voice acting superb. Nathan Drake is the likable everyman somehow surviving all the disasters he finds himself in, and you play the game to see what happens next. This is like being in a movie where you get to play the part. My wife (who cares nothing for video games) was actually watching me play a game for the first time ever just so she could find out what happened next in the story. Outstanding. Most enjoyable game I've played in a long time.

This game is awesome. The best graphics and animation I have seen in PS3 to date and also included in this category is COD4. The game has great controls and it plays out like a CGI animated action adventure film and you control the character throughout the action. The story was very complex and enveloping. I couldn't put it down just to see what would happen next. For some the game could get a little repetitive but the difficulty changes as you progress further. Very realistic moves and a beautiful animation of the surroundings is a plus. Very highly recommended.

This is a must have title! The PS3 as it stands now has very few exclusives in it's library, but this one tops them all! Hands down if you own a PS3 and you only have enough to purchase one game, your search is over!

Great mix of shooting, platforming and awesome graphics!

If there's one game so far to show off what the Playstation 3 can do, this is it. After I played the demo I knew I had to buy this game. I've never been a big fan of shooters (until now), but this game has such awesome graphics, great storyline, acting and variety that I was instantly hooked. I've finished the game and started it again, it is that good. Some of the sounds and music really set the mood for the unique places you are in. There is a surprise jeep chase in the middle that really added excitement at just the right time. I highly recommend this showcase game for the PS3!

At first I was apprehensive about purchasing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Once I started playing, I just couldn't put the game down. The story line is probably one of the best that I have ever seen. Even my wife who hates video games enjoyed watching me play.

Don't get me wrong, this game is not perfect. There are some glitches with the graphics at certain scenes but they in no way detract from the enjoyment of the game. The enemies are smart so you have to keep track of your surroundings. The hint feature is also helpful when you are stuck. You have to solve some puzzles but they have all been relatively straightforward. The game is not short nor too long. It is definitely worth the money and should appeal to a wide audience.

Highly recommended!

Be prepared for some tense moments!

Great, great game!!! A bit on the short side (took me approx 10 hours and I'm not the greatest gamer in the world) but this game is truly entertaining and definately shows off the power of the PS3 (You'll have your friends drooling and wanting their own PS3) trust me spend the money its worth it, nuff said!!

Tomb robber? haha I'm guessing that was in reference to the fact that this game is basically Tomb Raider with a guy. Which is fine with me because this game is awesome! It's like a full on adventure movie that you can play. The subtle animations, such as walking through a doorway and the character puts his hand on it as he walks through, just adds to the realism. The game controls well. Jumping is a little on the weird side. He seems to kind of float rather than jump. But it can be over looked. The voice acting is perfect as is the music.

This is my first game on the Playstation 3 and I couldn't be happier.

This is what next gen gaming is all about!

I've played quite a few games on all the systems, but this game is what next gen was built for. Great immersive story, the levels are beautifully designed and artistically detailed. I'd find myself walking very slowly in between shootouts just to look at the amazing world they created. The gameplay is outstanding as well. To put it bluntly....GET THIS GAME!!

Many people complain there is no system seller on the PS3 (just because they haven't hyped their games to the point of saturation like Halo) but this game is IT! This is one of the best games I've ever played in my 25 years of playing video games, you owe it to yourself to play this game.
