Excellent game, especially the multiplayer, the only issue is that sometimes there are problems connecting to the server, but when it works there is no better first person shooter that I have played.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (Playstation 3 Review)

I have played different shooters (ie Halo, Rainbow, Medal Of Honor), but this game is action packed and beautiful in the same time. The graphics on these next generation systems will blow you away, the artificial intelligence with kill you faster than you can snipe them out, and the online game play will make you single again. Say welcome to early morning and endless nights of combat, Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the next level in gaming!

best of all C2D games

I got this game a few weeks ago and it is pretty good. The graphics are first rate and I don't even have a HD tv. The game play is pretty solid and the action is intense. I wish it had more missions and easier way to select the weapon you want. Otherwise, great game. Good one to have in your collection.

One of the best games ever... Fantastic graphics, amazing single (really short though)and multiplayer... Just be aware, if you don't play on line, you're losing 80% of the game...

THE best game.

I am astonished with Activision's work on this one. The Graphics are simply amazing. The only two games who dare compete are Halo 3 and Flight Simulator X. I would give this game a 7/5. I have previously owned COD3, but even though the performance was good, WWII and the bad multiplayer system made it an averege game. But the intense story is amazing, and apart from Halo this is the best multiplayer system. I got this game a bit late because it is banned in my country. In more detail:

Pros-

- Graphics Graphics and interface. The looks of the charchters and the scenery is it. The interface is amazing and I especially liked the shoot trough wall thing. Really useful.

- Weaponry. We know that modern weapons need no comments, but the grenade throwers, laser claymores and Chinooks/Cobras/Harriers are really useful.

- Multiplayer. Multiplayer was stupid in COD3, but with the chance to create your own classes and all the costumization and ranks it is amazing. I would say better than Halo.

- Voice chat. I think this the first game to introduce voice chat to PS3.

- Split Screen. For a stupid reason missing in COD3, they made up for it. And no features are missing from normal play in split screen.

- Rating. This is less than mature. No sexual content what so ever. And the violence is obvious but the graphics dont show it. No language except in the last mission I heard s*** twice. I would say Teen.

Cons-

- No Co-op campaign mode. With amazing split screen it was an easy feature. I hope we have it with PS4 and COD5.

- Short campaign. But the stunning performance and story make up for it. I went through the game on normal in 6 hours. But you really go into it. And the amazing multiplayer^ more than makes up for it.

- Bad writing about Syrians in Arabic on the walls. Giving uneducated children a biase towards Syria.

Overall, this is an amazing game. I would recommend this for any 15+ boy/girl. To anyone who liked Halo 3/SWAT 4/Flight SImulator X. I would recommend purchasing a cheap bluetooth headset with it.

P.S. I am a Muslim and it show not in any way an offense for Muslims.

COD4 Best War Game Period

I've played every 1st person War Game there is: Company of Heroes, All the Medal of Honors, All the Call of Duties. This by far is the best experience ever. I've been playing for about two months now and have become a pretty skilled player. The maps are exciting except for a few (The Bog, The Ship, Containers(?)). The online story is very exciting and fun but the real value is in the multiplayer. Not only do you continually unlock weapons and features and challenges but at level 55 you are faced with the daunting choice of trading it all in to get the "special" prestige unlock. A lot of players hate this but I like it it gives me something new to strive for. The unlocks come very quickly the second time round. IF anyone from activision is reading this, please, please add more maps. Give up a Night, Snow, Beach and a Bunkers map and I'll be happy.

Awesome game, no 2-player co-op!

1. Amazing gameplay on single player.
2. Graphics are awesome.
3. Intense missions, excellent transitions, variable viewpoints (i.e. aerial missions, tanks, traditional ground missions, etc.)
4. No 2 player co-op?!? Only reason my review's not 5 stars.
5. Get this game, and enjoy the single player. Then go online and get ravaged by 13 year olds with nothing better to do.

Words Cannot Even Begin to Describe this 1st Person Shooter!

As a late Christmas present to myself, I bought a PS3 along with Call of Duty 4. Let's just say that for the 2 days that I've had it, the console has barely had a break! The crisp detail and unbelievable graphics are astounding. I can't begin to tell you how often I thought I was watching a cut-away scene when it was actual live play. Not being too familiar with 1st Person Shooter, I found the controls to be straightforward, allowing for great maneuverability and aiming. The Single Player storyline is captivating; no boring missions here! To top it off, the On-line play is extremely intense! When playing on a team, have even used my bluetooth heaeset as a comm between members. There are so many different games, weapons, upgrades, etc. to unlock that you will surely get your money's worth. Absolutely addicted to this groundbreaking game, much to my husband's despair! Happy Gaming!

Great Game, by far the best modern FPS of all time

Call of Duty 4 is probably the best modern FPS I have ever played. The campagin is a very detailed story that almost spells out the end of the world. You start out as "Soap", a British SAS soldier. Your first mission is to storm a cargoship by the cover of dark during a strong storm. Your team repels down from a helicoptor and storms the command deck. You kill all enemies and go down a flight of stairs and onto the main deck. You then advance into the cargo hold of the ship, take out more terrorists, and find the "package". You don't get to secure the package however, because the enemy sends 2 Migs to sink the ship. The ship is hit and you have to run off of it and jump onto the helicoptor.
The campagin progresses as you covering a Russian assualt on Russian rebels using a sniper rifle. You then break into a house and use night-vision to rescue a spy that was arrested. After that mission you switch to an American marine in Iraq. You go on several missions from storming buildings in search of a terrorist named Al Assad, to defending a broken down tank, to having a massive urban shootout. Your final mission in Iraq is helping a pinned down squad in the center of Al Assad's capital city. As you, your squad, and the soldiers you rescued are airlifted out of the area, a large nuclear device explodes. That is the end of your days as a marine.
The campagin heats up as you go fifteen years into the past as a British sniper to snipe a nuclear weapons dealer. You shoot him, and then try to carry your wounded partner out of a deserted Ukraine town. This part of the game is very hard.
After you go back to present day, you go on a mission to arrest the weapons dealer's son. You get him to surrender, but he pulls out a handgun and kills himself.
The weapon's dealer, who somehow survived the sniper shot, tells the SAS and USMC (who are working together in a top secret mission.)that they need to leave Russia, or he will launch nuclear warheads at the US. US and SAS forces move in to take out the Russian launch site where the missiles will be launced from, but they don't get there in time. Two warheads launch and start heading towards the US. You then have to break into a nuclear bunker. This is a very hard mission, because the enemy is usually only a few feet from you, and grenades are flying everywhere.
After you disarm the missiles, your team tries to escape by driving out of the area. As you cross a bridge, a helicopter blows up the bridge. You are wounded, and you see the Russian arms dealer come onto the remains of the bridge and start shooting your teammates. Your team leader throws you a pistol. You use the pistol to take out the arms dealer.
If you watch all of the credits, you get to unlock a bonus mission. The bonus mission is very fun and intense. You have to storm AIR FORCE ONE and free the President from Russian terrorists who are seeking revenge.
Call of Duty 4 also has incredible graphics. The explosions and backgrounds look really cool. The audio is very impressive as well.
WARNING! Call of Duty 4 does deserve it's M rating. I don't know why it has strong language written on the box, because the worst word in the game is "oh s***!" The game does have some blood in it when you shoot enemies, but there is no gore in the game. The game does have some extreme violence in it. Almost every second of the game you are killing terrorsits. The action never stops. During the sniping misson and the silo mission, the terrorists send war dogs after you. It is very hard to see you shoot the dogs and watch them die. If the dogs jump on you, you have to strangle them to death.
All in all, Call of Duty 4 is a great game. Other then the violence and blood, it is a very good FPS.

Little support from Infinity Ward/Activision!!

If the game developers/makers supported this product more it could be the best game ever. As is, it has multiple problems with it's online play with no plans for fixing them anytime soon. The single player portion is super!!!
