I own both and I prefer the gaming style of Medal of Honor Airborne. COD4 feels like you're just being swept along with the monotonous storyline. The online play bugged me. It's not fun just being blasted away by other players. There's no strategy, no stealth. Lame.

COD3 is a fantastic game to play (on the Wii in my case), so when COD4 came out I decided to buy a copy for my brand new PS3. After a few evenings, this morning I completed it, and as the credits began to scroll up, my reaction was "that's -it-?!" The game's brevity is a total letdown. Perhaps Wii's Zelda spoiled me in this regard, but if they can do it, why can't Sony?

Graphics are really nice. I was particularly impressed with the sniper phase--the camouflage suit is so good it almost looks like photography. Action is fun, although I think it is way too easy to kill foes, whose AI by the way leaves lot to be desired in this day and age. Story is somewhat weak to my liking--of course, COD3's WWII is necessarily more realistic, but I thought the story in Hitman: Silent Assassin, for example, was more compelling. I am also getting a bit tired of good-and-evil stories. It would be refreshing to run a plot that makes one wonder (better yet, decide) about certain actions. Here all killing is good.

One more thing: The playability of COD3 on the Wii vs COD4 on the PS3 is proof that Wii is light-years ahead in terms of human-computer interaction. The sixaxis controller is so 20th century I don't even know where to begin. On the Wii, aiming is just that--not moving a ridiculous thumb joystick.

Overall, did I enjoy the game? Yes. Did I get my money's worth? Definitely not.

This is a pretty good game. It is engaging and lots of different action. Its just a little bit short. That's all.

As stated in previous reviews, this game is more closely related to COD2 than COD3...and that is a GOOD thing. Online multiplayer is flawlessly presented and graphics are top notch. In fact, the online multiplayer is so well done, I have yet to try the campaign mode and I have had the game since launch. Buy this if you haven't already done so after reading the 100's of positive reviews of this fantastic game!!

If you like FPS games, better get this now!

This game is as good as everyone is saying, forget about those people complaining about the online play (they are the ones that get pwned and can't kill a 4th grader with a controller on the other side of the world). The online is what you make of it and the advancements in the call of duty games to this one is unbelievable graphics and environments are insane.
I am a little biased on computer controls but this game is very manageable with the joysticks on the PS3 controller. Like the title says if you like FPS games better get this one so it can be one of your favorites.

This game is incredible, but short. I've never gone through an entire mission so quickly. Activision might take lessons from UbiSoft or Microsoft when it comes to the amount of game play and content included. Even the original Halo and Splinter Cell both include MUCH more content and game play than Call of Duty 4. I paid $50 for less than half of the game play. Very disappointing. Before we know it, we'll be paying $100 for an hour of game play.

I love this game, it is awesome full of action and things to do, tons of weapons and adds-on, the missions are very nice with all those different levels of difficulty. The kids love it and more when you add a headset to play it on-line. And it is FREE to play it on-line.

best game around hands down

If you are into military games this one by far beats all others. the graphics are almost to real and the game play is flawless. one of my favorite levels is when you get to play as a sniper in a full guillie suit and you have to shoot a target(human) from a roof top. you have to adjust to all your environments around you to hit on target. the multiplayer mode is great.

This game is so lush I love it. The single player campaign is short but very interactive and fun. The multiplayer is addicting because of the leveling up process as well as the challenges. My only complaint is it does not support split screen with online play, I was very disappointed!

This game is so fun, graphic, the missions. Best of all is the On-line games, I thought there was going to be lagging and alot of delay.. no there is none of that. This game is my fav, think I am almost addicted. :-)
