The Biggest Game Ever.

this game is expanded beyond all understanding. there is such a stable storyline- so much in just free-roaming the city- Xbox live is just the best, and the graphics are almost hypnotic.

this game made me happy.

This game is the violent version of second life. You develop a character by building relationship before you start cracking heads. Rockstar out did themselves with this one.

waited a long time for it and it was worth it

this is the best game that i ever played, since i got it, i haven't stopped playing. i really like the graphics which are much better than the previous GTA. It's really cool to zip around the city. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes intense driving and shooting games.

Freakin awesome.

I'll start with the bads:
- The 360's antialiasing filter makes things real jaggy in the background as opposed to the PS3's version which uses a blur filter (PS3's version looks a little more natural)
- The textures are so-so, but when you consider the vastness of the world you're in, it's easily forgiveable

Goods:
- Everything. Haha. As general as that sounds, if you liked the previous GTAs, you will LOVE this one
- The missions are a tad easier (no time limits for the most part) than the previous games so there's a little less frustration (ymmv)
- The story is great. I feel more connected to the main character of this story compared to the previous games. There's a lot of great moments of humor and epicness if that makes any sense
- Decisions and relationships play a big part of the game. Depending on the choices you make throughout the game during missions and interacting with people, the game changes. Pretty dynamic from what I've experienced at least.

Bottom line: Buy it if you already haven't. A must have for XBox360 owners. It should sit on the shelf right next to Call of Duty 4 ;P

Yeah, Just Get It.

Except for having to replay some missions over and over this is a great game. You really get to know the city and its people. Graphics are great. Believe the hype, it will grab and hold your interest.

One hell of a sandbox to play in..!!

I've only played part way through the storyline but what I've played is absolutely amazing..! Just hailing a cab and taking a ride around the city is incredible. The amount of detail they put into the city is crazy. The buildings, the vehicles, the people, it's all extremely well done. You see and hear all the little things that they put into the game that make you crack up when you notice them. All the subtle references to "Hot Coffee" are some of the funniest.

I got hooked on the franchise with Vice City because I'm a child of the 80's. If you are a fan of the previous GTA games this one will absolutely not disappoint.

There probably aren't very many females running out and buying this title, someone is if it is the best selling entertainment of all time surpassing movie and music sales for a single title. This is a solid game. The graphics are incredible for a sandbox game and the story is engaging. The missions get better and better as you go. So, open a beer, wait til the kids go to bed, and play away. It is a very VERY good stress reliever!

Unbelievable detail

You can drive for hours and not see the same street twice; and never under the same lighting/weather conditions...in a Ferrari... just amazing. Some missions can be frustrating when the bad guys get away, but overall a great game. There are very few 1 player games that I have ever put so many hours into.

All I need to know about driving, I learned from GTA4

I'm 36 and somehow managed to go my entire life without ever learning to drive. Really! I'm not stupid, or anything; it just sort of slipped my mind. I was busy with other things, and always lived in places where there was a great transit system, so why bother?

Well, now I live in Phoenix, and whlie it is a city of many, many fine virtures, a great mass-transit system is not one of them. So I've decided to grit my loins and gird my teeth... or... er... whatever... and learn to drive! Thankfully, I've learned quite a bit from playing this fine video game. Being a gamer, I naturally can't tell reality from fantasy, and so I assume that if these things are true in the game, they're true in real life, too.

1. If you get a wanted level, drive very fast until you are out of police range. They might have a helicopter, but don't worry; a trip to a parking garage can take care of that! Just park, switch cars and you're good to go, back on your way to the store to buy peaches!

2. Try not to run over people when driving at high speed. This can damage your car and slow you down. Plus, they sometimes survive and complain to the police. This can give you a wanted level (see lesson 1), and stop you from getting your hands on some delicious peaches.

3. There's always places you can jump your car. Yes, it might be from the top of a building, or a ramp over a river, but municipal road crews apparently place these things everywhere! I can't wait to try them in real life.

4. When driving, always, always wear a seatbelt. Once you get shot through the window a few times while trying to do Lesson 1 because you violated Lesson 2 by landing on someone while doing Lesson 3, you'll learn that seatbelts are your friend (and you still won't have your tasty peaches)!

5. If all else fails, hit start and reload from where you were before.

These things I have learned about driving from GTA4, which is an incredibly fun game! Great graphics, great story, and worth every penny! I hope my skills there translate into real life!

Now I'm going to go eat some peaches! Mmmm... peaches!
