This game was hyped to be the one of the greatest games of all time. After i watched many reviews from gaming websites, i finally got my copy and was hooked. The story is a lot better than any of the other GTA games. Niko is a likeable character, he makes more moral decision than a CJ or a Tommy Vercetti. He has reasons for doig what he does and it checks out. Roman, Niko's cousin is a character that is played so well that not only Niko gets angry at but you can feel what Niko is going through. The games depth and new enhancements make the game almost perfect. Driving is a litter harder than the other games, you can harldy keep your car in perfect condition for long. The new way to get rid of cops can be hard in a car, just like in real life. But once you get out on foot, you'll realize that its much easier to avoid the cops. Getting 2 stars in the game is very difficult to get rid of since the area they are searching for you is so big. The game is very lengthy, i have been playing for many hours and i am not even halfway through. All the missions might give you 35 hours of gameplay, but if you do dates, hangout, ect, The game is endless.

This is really worth 60 bucks. You can't go wrong with this one.

Pros:
-Extra non-mission details
-Missions are realistic
-Graphics are good
-Liberty City is huge!

Cons:
-Missions get repetative
-Some parts of the game dont look so good (graphically)
-Keeping all the people you meet happy with you can be boring.

Overall i give the game a 9.7/10

No more flying cars, parachutes, or jet packs to get around with. I used to spend hours just screwing around in San Andreas and was hoping for the same in Liberty City. Nothing left to do here but play the missions, which get boring after a while. In addition, freezing issues made it difficult to even play the game. It doesn't just freeze, it locks up the whole console so you have to reboot.

Liberty city is a scary place where the entire community is in chaos, even if they don't know I am the main cause of it. A preacher catches my eye and there he is preaching at the top of his lungs of salvation. I start a brawl and the police shows up to arrest the preacher. I cannot believe it when the cop points a gun at him and barks that he put his hands up. Then he opens the door and gets in the police cruiser and in a matter of seconds he is running away from the cop and he chases after him. In the end I wind up pulling a shotgun and killing him. To say that this is just a game is such a understatement and a crime. To be honest this is to me the only game that lived up to the hype. I had no doubts that Sam Houser would deliver and did he ever. I have gone into this game with a valor of a GTA veteran. It is fun and addicting the missions are well balance and challenging, you must think outside the box. But the most interesting thing in the whole game is the storyline, I was watching the cut scenes and wishing they would never end. Niko Bellic is a complex character and he is quite clear of his objective he must make money anyway he can. The other characters complement the story greatly and the way they integrated the system of relationships that vastly give this game hours upon hours of drunken mayhem and lap dances. The mechanics of the game are extremely complex and just plain realistic. Jacking cars has had cool animations like the times where I demolished my vehicle and it wouldn't start and Niko would scream "Start you turd." Oh, man this game has broken new ground and definitely should receive Game of the Year don't even argue please. I don't care if Fable 2 and Gears of War 2 comes out it will never be this integrated. For goodness sake the way you can spend hours upon hours in the city that never values life. There is one thing I would like to say about the hookers in the game, I mean, Oh, my god there is going to be hell to pay for that I really can't go into detail but you know what I am talking about. I really think this game will have people steamed that this is sort of explicit. Don't you dare say I'm hating or complaining it is kind of...um, cool? Just don't let the kiddies hit the strip club because...graphic and strange noises. This the perfect game no buts about it. Play this game.

More fun than real LIFE!

This is pretty much one of the greatest games of all time. Incredible graphics, sound, and gameplay make this a must-have for any human being. All of the innuendos and little easter eggs in this game keep me consistently entertained and coming back for more. If you have any kind of sense of humor at all you will love this game. Hell... even if you don't I'm sure you'll love this game. Just buy it, and get hooked like everyone else. You'll see! The $60 you pay for the game is nothing. I'd say this game is worth twice that amount for all of the hours of entertainment you get from it.

Oh yeah, and in addition to the incredible single player mode there is a HUGE multiplayer mode too! They didn't skimp even a little bit on this game, people. Check it out. Thank me later.

This is probly the best game ive ever played. I really dont see anything about this game that you can even insult. The story line, the graphics the coontrols and the characters are all perfect. seriously they couldnt have made this game any better. It slaughters every other grand theft auto on the market. Every thing about it is great. Buy this game

They keep frontin on Connecticut! Where is our litte piece? Aside from that, the graphics are mind blowing! I wonder how much better graphics can be after this? The Wii cna it's Gamecube insides cannot even think about handling even half of these graphics!

The only problems I have are the graphics are kind of dark and have a little bit of a soft tone a lot of times. It could be to juggle the resolution. This is a must have. It is a game like this that brings the Wiik graphics of the Wii to a hard-core reality! When you want to play REAL games, you need a 360 or a PS3.

buy it now or you will buy it later anyway...

best video game ever, no doubt. its acctually 0.1% better for ps3 for some reason!!!but i got xbox and it does work 10/10.

Ironing out the flaws, a great game!

So as much as I love this game, what are the "flaws" I mentioned in the title? Well, let me start off with the bad news first:

-The vehicle control sucks. Every time you try to stop the car, it spins around. This is really frustrating, becaus sometimes you'll try to stop yourself from getting a wanted level.

-The hand-to-hand combat system is a real joke. You can seriously play through the hand-to-hand combat parts blind-folded. All you have to do is smash the X button several times. The character moves on his own.

-The game is a bit too short. About 6 hours in, you're already halfway through.

So why did I give this game 4 stars? Well, here goes:

-The graphics are amazing. They look realistic, and are a HUGE step up from GTA 1-3, VC, SA, and LCS.

-The voice acting is incredible! Niko sounds amazing, as does Michelle.

-The music is great too, especially the intro music.

-The gameplay is great, although a bit repetitive, still very great.

-The ending is the best video game ending in years.

Allthogether, if you look past the flaws, then this is an amazing game, and GTA in its top form.

good game overall but its kinda TOO realistic if u catch my drift..like umm..lets see wen u drive its too realistic but some of the realism is good so thats why i gave it 5 stars and gta is always awesome with its cheats...lol but yeah its a good game u shud get it

I only got to play it for a couple of hours today but it is awesome. Starts off a little slower than the past GTA games but it makes up for it. If you decide to go out drinking with Roman, be prepared to hail a cab because you can not drive. GREAT GAME GO AND GET IT
