Very good, but not "excellent."

I bought this game because the online reviews all said that it was great or excellent, most stating that it would really show off the capabilities of the PS3. While the graphics are very good, I would hardly call them groundbreaking, and I really hope that the PS3 is capable of something more impressive.

The game play is pretty fun, but fairly soon after you get into it it starts to get a little bit difficult to remember all of the controls required for the different actions that can be done. Six pages of the manual are dedicated to the controls, if that gives you any sort of idea just how complicated the controls get as the game progresses. If this sort of game is being aimed at a younger audience than a first-person shooter, it's a little too complicated.

As far as platform games go, this is definitely among the best, but I really found myself wishing for more... Better graphics, being able to wander just a little farther outside the linear nature of the game, easier-to-remember controls. The cut scenes are quite pretty, and the voice acting is pretty good. The story is alright, typical of what you would find in the genre... something to tie the stages of the game together, but not something that would stand on its own.

This game is among the best available for the PS3 right now, but I don't think it will go down in history as one of the best games ever produced. One of the better platformers, maybe, but not best overall.

This game is fun to play. The fighting action doesn't change much, but there are many different challenges. From gliding, to flying a space ship, to swimming, it doesn't get monotonous. The playing environments change often and look great, but were not incredible. Some sections of the game take some trial and error to figure out what you're supposed to do, but you wouldn't want it to be too easy. I haven't played all the way through this game yet, but so far, it doesn't seem very difficult. Having different levels of play difficulty would be a nice addition.

This game is great! ive been waiting for it since i bought my ps3! all sony needs to do now is make a couple more games like this and if the xbox's keep braking, then microsoft will be put in thier place!

This is my first of the R&C series, and i have to say im hooked. I want to play all the other R&C games after this (the psp version next!). First off, this game was almost a pass on my part because it seemed a little kiddish. I didnt have any ps3 games, so i said, hey, ill take a flyer. Let me say im 100% glad i did. The game play is beautifully flawless. Its also a very funny game. Over all this game should not be missed by any ps3 owner. Worth every penny!

This is the first PS3 game of 2007 that I felt was a 'must purchase.' It is an action game that is very addictive due to the massive amounts of shooting that takes place as well as the comical cut scenes. The graphics are flawless and the sound is amazing. Perfect to be played loudly if you have the system to support it.

Great game. This is my first time playing a Ratchet and Clank game, and im most impressed. Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay, and an interesting story.

Since this is my first time playing the series it took me a sec or to get adjusted, but once I did I found the game to play very well. You can upgrade all your weapons, there is very interesting gadgets, and toys to play with.

The only weak point for me was the space flying. Found the controls be a little weird. You fly with one stick, and aim the gun with another. Its kind of like trying to pat your head and rub your belly at the same time.

All in all a very fun and entertaining game.

PS3 Games are way too short for the money

I only have 2 games for my new PS3 system, one is this Ratchet and Clank and the other is "Uncharted, Drake's Fortune" and loved both games. I have had all the Ratchet and Clank games but was disappointed in this one because it was much too short to be that expensive. Hope Sony isn't going to make all their PS3 games this short.

I love this shooting games where all is so childishly designed (Mega MAn-Rockman series).But then i start to question myself, is this a game for Everyone or is for grown ups? because all this shooting madness is not ESRB E. but I thing that Ratchet and clank just as JAK and other naughty DOg Series are very good games , lots of stages, GUNS, and more GUNS, BOsses fights.So many colors you could have a headache. and non stop action, it also has a good replay factor.is a good option for teenagers. but not for kids .please parents watch out what you buy for your kids.
