Glitch Won't Let It Install

When I tried to install the game it says there was sufficient memory and stopped the install. Looked up this problem and the game's creator says just delete or add 500mb of disk space. Since I don't have any thing on the ps 3 except the OS am I supposed to wipe that out? Or maybe I am supposed to buy a flash drive and maybe that might fix this problem.
Great presentation but weak gameplay

I just bought this game recently and put several hours into it before deciding that it was not enough fun to continue playing.
The Good:
1. Graphics/Visuals (4/5)
This is really the strength of Tools of Destruction. Even at 720p, this game looks very impressive. No, it's not like an interactive Pixar movie, but you could see why people might compare this to playing in a Dreamworks Animation movie. This game is just full of bright colored, smoothly animated objects/environments/characters, that it is really fun to just watch. The cut scenes are well made as well, and give a cinematic feel to the game. There are a lot of moving objects in the background, especially in the cities, that give a vibrant and more realistic feel to the environments. Breaking boxes/containers is especially fun to watch (and hear).
2. Sound/Music (4/5)
The sound as well is excellent. Great game music and sound effects that can really be appreciated if you have a decent 7.1 speaker system. The sound of breaking/destroying objects/containers is great, and the effects when you pick up various objects/bonuses considerably add to the fun of this game.
Unfortunately, that's where the good ends.
The Mediocre:
1. Story/Acting (2.5/5)
Comparing this game to a generic animated film, like Ice Age or Happy Feet would be understandble, but to compare this game to a Pixar movie is just ridiculous. You will not find Pixar quality writing in this game. The characters are not interestingly designed and the writing is not very humorous or clever. Kind of like any non-Pixar animation studio movie, which is not to say that it is horrible, just mediocre, as one would expect from a video game of this type.
The Not So Good:
1. Gameplay (2/5)
True, I did not finish the game, and only played through the first few levels before I packed it up and sold it on the most popular auction site. However, the gameplay left me rather bored after awhile. Initially, it was fun running around, hitting or shooting enemies, picking up objects, jumping up walls, and sliding on rails/tracks (which thankfully are not accompanied by visual cues of which buttons to press while sliding, as in Uncharted and Heavenly Sword). But after awhile, it became extremely tedious and boring. From the beginning, this game plays as an arcade game, with non-stop hack and slash action. Not until you pass a couple of levels is there even a spot where you are not constantly fighting. The fighting, also, gets tiresome quickly. You can slash with your melee weapon or shoot a variety of guns/projectiles/etc. But you'll find that it is far too easy to just use the same attack (slash attack when midair for a huge, circumferential attack) to kill all enemies in the first few stages.
2. Linearity (1/5)
This is a gameplay issue as well, but deserves its own section because it is so extremely linear that it significantly and negatively affects gameplay. This game basically is running/jumping/gliding from point A to point B and so on. You do not get a sense that this is a real world, but rather just a series of hiking trails in a variety of environments. This makes it easy to navigate yet extremely boring. Between the linear stages are cut scenes, that while nice, give you the feeling that you are watching an interactive movie where you can control the characters but that ultimately everything is following a pre-written script. There is zero free exploration in this game, essentially it is as open-ended a world as you would find in a classic 80s side-scrolling game.
3. Lack of anything to do but hack n' slash (1/5)
Also a gameplay issue, but there is nothing to do in this game but continuously hack n' slash. No exploration, no real puzzle solving (at least in the first few levels), no figuring out what to do next. Just following the pre-scripted levels one tedious level after the next.
The Bottom Line:
Basically, this game has great presentation and production values, but the gameplay just flat out sucks. So boring unless you are the type of gamer who enjoys linear gameplay with mindless hacking and slashing. I would not recommend this game to anyone I know except as a demo to demonstrate the visual/audio capabilities of the PS3.
Overall rating is a 2/5 stars, because the excellent presentation does not compensate for the extreme linearity and tedious nature of this game, which in the end, should be fun, not just fun to look at and listen to.
PS3 Games are way too short for the money

I only have 2 games for my new PS3 system, one is this Ratchet and Clank and the other is "Uncharted, Drake's Fortune" and loved both games. I have had all the Ratchet and Clank games but was disappointed in this one because it was much too short to be that expensive. Hope Sony isn't going to make all their PS3 games this short.

This game is fun to play. The fighting action doesn't change much, but there are many different challenges. From gliding, to flying a space ship, to swimming, it doesn't get monotonous. The playing environments change often and look great, but were not incredible. Some sections of the game take some trial and error to figure out what you're supposed to do, but you wouldn't want it to be too easy. I haven't played all the way through this game yet, but so far, it doesn't seem very difficult. Having different levels of play difficulty would be a nice addition.
Great fun, but could use a bit more game

This game was one of the best that I have played yet on the PS3.
Pros:
Intuitive gameplay and interface, fun weapons and upgrades, and entertaining storyline. On the fun and playability scale, this game is a five.
Cons:
The game is a little short and would lack replay value.
Too easy. Only the last level is hard.
Therefore, this game lacks value. Renting this game and beating it would be my recommendation, rather than committing to owning the game.

Ratchet is a very fun game which clocks in at about 10-12 hours of play. The weapons are great and vary from energy beam cannons to blade launchers. There are 15 of these diverse weapons, and while all are useful, you will find that you use some a lot more than others. New to the gameplay are "devices", which do anything from absorb health from enemies to stunning them by a discoball, causing them to dance uncontrollably. While these are fun to use, I really only used 2-4 of the 10 regularly. My only complaint would be the less-than-satisfying storyline. I had high hopes, and the story is there, but it really just does not come through like it should. Overall, this a very fun game, and a must-have for any Ratchet and Clank fans, and should be in the library of most ps3 owners. For everyone else, buy Uncharted.
Fun, addictive game, not very difficult.

This is a great game! The gameplay is similar to the previous Ratchet & Clank games (which to me is a good thing), so there are no surprises on how to enhance and modify weapons, etc. There are a few new concepts, some using the sixaxis controllers steering capabilities.
I love this game. Its not very difficult, but is addictive, looks great in 1080 and def worth the $$.
Very good, but not "excellent."

I bought this game because the online reviews all said that it was great or excellent, most stating that it would really show off the capabilities of the PS3. While the graphics are very good, I would hardly call them groundbreaking, and I really hope that the PS3 is capable of something more impressive.
The game play is pretty fun, but fairly soon after you get into it it starts to get a little bit difficult to remember all of the controls required for the different actions that can be done. Six pages of the manual are dedicated to the controls, if that gives you any sort of idea just how complicated the controls get as the game progresses. If this sort of game is being aimed at a younger audience than a first-person shooter, it's a little too complicated.
As far as platform games go, this is definitely among the best, but I really found myself wishing for more... Better graphics, being able to wander just a little farther outside the linear nature of the game, easier-to-remember controls. The cut scenes are quite pretty, and the voice acting is pretty good. The story is alright, typical of what you would find in the genre... something to tie the stages of the game together, but not something that would stand on its own.
This game is among the best available for the PS3 right now, but I don't think it will go down in history as one of the best games ever produced. One of the better platformers, maybe, but not best overall.
Fun!

Still the great challenges of search and destroy. Improved weapons and easier to get bolts. Challenges are more varied now, leading to more fun. Graphics are improved, I'm playing HD as well. Great addition to the series.

I am new to the whole Ratchet and Clank series. I thought this was an excellent lead in to the series for me. I got a lot of the humor and it was a lot of fun to play. My 3 year old loved to watch and pretend he was playing too. The plot was not bad. The enemies were tough enough to get you if you weren't paying attention. And sometimes get you if you were paying attention.
I especially liked the challenge mode that opens up upon completing the game the first time. I was like a whole new game.
