YAWN! Sims disappoints!

The biggest problem with the Sims is it makes me want to quit playing to clean my room, take a shower, and talk to friends in real life instead of via my Sim characters. Games are supposed to take you some place else, not copy your daily routine. I'm a big SimCity fan, but I'll pass on the video equivalent of playing doll house!

This game is better than average. Its great because you can do whatever you want to do, even get married and have kids , but it [is unacceptable] on two levels of quality. The levels are :(1)gameplay may get old after a while(2)it gets tough and frustrating when it doesn't work like you want it to. Overall I say you should check it out.

This is WAY different then the PC version. It was to hard to see the sims close up and it was too slow. If you are used to the PC version don't buy this.

It's fun and all but after a while it gets kinda boring because you just do the same thing day after day after day..... If you had to choose between The Sims and The Sims Bustin' Out, I would go with The Sims Bustin' Out.

its ok

i like this game but i cant get past level 3 in get a life so its pretty hard and like a lot of other people said its very different from the pc. its cool because you have those levels to try and win, but i dont really like the play the sims thing because its totally different and you're not in as much control as the pc.

Good game even for adults

Well, I had the PC version and lost my code and so couldn't play it again. I decided to give the PS2 version I try, and was surprised. First of all, there's so many ways to bring your Sim to life through clothing, personality, and the way they look. Buy and building is about the same with a vew extra items. I spent two hours when I first played it. But I am not like some, who play it for hours, get tired, and never return. I play it here and there...and continue to enjoy the game. Movement is great but sometimes it is a pain switching back and forth from character to character. Anyhow, a very cool game, uneventful for my husband, but great for me. Or I like that you can also Play A Sim...and she/he has to do certain things to get a life.

This is a great way to teach your children how to be grown up. I think the other con about the game the Sim are a little small...you can't get close up. But it is fun.

Buy it or rent it but it is up to you and your taste that will make this game fun or not.

Pretty good game

I like the sims for ps2.It is fun because you get to live in someone elses world. It is also fun because you get to raise kids and propose. What i do not like about it is you do not get to go downtown and you can not have pets. I do not like the get a life mode because you do alot of work just so you can unlock products. I thought that you would actly get to go with your sims to the retiring mansion but you do not they just send your sim off to the mansion.I like the products such as the vibrating heart bed and the servant monkey. I also like how they have a lot of objects for your kids to play with, such as the sandbox, the junglegym, and toy boxes. Well that is about all i can think of right now. This is a great game.

Not faithful at all to the Original Sims.

I bought this game as soon as it came out, as I'm addicted to the computer Sims. It's nothing like the original Sims. The basic premise is the same, but the controls are horrible! One of the best parts of the game is to build your own house for your Sims. No matter how I tried it, I couldn't get it to happen. I would recommend avoiding this game at all costs. There's a good reason why so many people are selling this game in the Amazon.Com marketplace.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh!

This game is alot of fun,i never really took notice of The Sims even when my former friend was talking about it alot i just thought of other games until my mum let me get a game, and i wasn`t alowwed to get Driver 3 so i picked up The Sims PLATINUM to see why Callum loved it so much and it was a good deal for £19.99 i loved it.You start with one option at the beginning of the game which is "Get A Life" where you can pick an Adult Male/Female and customise her/his clothes, shoes and hair and al so there personality Attributes. When you start the game it is in a dream Mansion with some woman called Roxy and you have to get in a Chaccuzi with her and then you wake in your mothers house because she wants you to fix the TV,cook the night/day
dinner, breakfast or lunch and to take a loan of her and to get a job.And you complete targets and keep expanding where you live and unlock items to buy.In "Play The Sims" this is the casual part of the game where you can buld your own house and do what you want. This game is a good start of a simulations series and remember the very first game that says the Sims on was actually 1988`s Sim City 1 i think.REVIEW FINNISHED.
