This is a must buy adventure game.
If you are a fan of Ratchet and Clank, you should like this game.
I am a Ratchet and Clank fan.
So I just love this game.
This game has good moves.
It includes weapons.
The weapons are great as in Ratchet and Clank.
That is why this is THE BEST ADVENTURE GAME!

In the past, I haven't been to crazy for Nuaghty Dog, but after days of research on this game I got to give them a "pat on the back".Though you probobly won't agree with me, in my humble oppion, the Crash Bandicoot games weren't all that great.They lacked a good story line, wich is the coolest part of a video game.But i'm not reviewing Crash here, i'm reviewing Jak and Daxter.This game has it all, good story line, GREAT charecters, jaw-dropping graphics, awesome moves, no loading time(which has been mentioned way to much), and a furry side-kick(all games need a furry side-kick).I first read about it in a magazine about a year and a half ago, and I didn't think they would realy go through with humiliating themselves with it, but now I want to kick my self for thinking that.I was looking for a game like Ocarina of Time, and this actually comes a little close to it(a little)!Over all, i'm not forcing you to buy it, but you whould be missing out on a game that is going to be around for a looong time!

love this game so much! its really, really fun. i love the voice acting to!! A really, really fun game. the best thing to play for anyone who loves RPGs and wants an awesome game to just play for fun, or for sum1 whos never tried RPGs b4. A must for PS2!!! The graphics are really good, and its a million times better than any Crash game. (Crash and Jak are made by the same company, Naughty Dog) Its a really great game to play wen ur just into the mood for some fun. A must buy!!

"Maximo" meets "Shrek"!

This is a great videogame, including Daxter, this video game reminds me of Maximo, which my cousin plays. I give this a ***** (5 out of 5).

First of all, I want to tell you about the storyline:
OK, after falling in a dark eco pool (bad stuff, stay away from it) Daxter (the little furry red guy) pops out of the pool as a ottsel. So now he and his friend (Jak) are on their way north, looking for a man that can change Daxter back to his original form. On the way they encounter some surprises (which I'm not about to give away). Really, I can't say anything more about the storyline. Eco (dark, green, red,yellow, and blue) is an important part of the game (well, it's really what makes the game itself!). Green is for your health, yellow makes you able to shoot balls of fire, and red increases your strength ( for big monsters that need more powerful hits). Blue eco makes you be able to run fast, open special doors, and access other things. Here's this games stats:

Graphics -4/5 stars-
Replayability -4 stars-
Sounds and Music -5 stars-
Play time: Ooohh, about maybe 1 week?

This games comes to show you that they can make clean games, instead of having naked women and all that other dirty [stuff] in games.
Naughty Dog has really done it this time!

Doesn' t top Crash, but almost...

Like I said: Doesn' t top Crash, but almost... That means this game really is, good, but Crash is a little better. Naugthy Dog has created an fantastic epic adventure packed with beutiful stuff from the beginning to the end.

This game is great.
I also recommend Jak II which is a sequel to this game but got itself a T rank because of violence and swearing.
I am spending a small part of the day playing this game, taking the Flut Flut challanges and riding the A-Graw Zoomer.

I love this game, and my 6 year old and I have had a blast discovering all of its secrets together. Needless to say we were anticipating the sequel to this fantastic platform. Well guess what! Apparently the 'market' drives the makers of this game to develop a 'darker' Jak. We rented the sequel to make sure we would like it, and needless to say I will be returning it to the rental store and not looking back. What a disappointment.

Not my cup of tea, but it could be yours.

Most people figure that when a game becomes popular and also merits a sequel, it means that the game is a great one to start out with. Well, that is what I figured at least. Unfortunately, the sequel corrects much of went wrong with the original.
First of all, Jak and Daxter is quite likely the most plotless and repetative game I've ever played. Yes, there is a plot, but the storyline has almost no influence over the game. You have to go around and collect little golden floating eggs and perform missions for random people to get precursor orbs. What does that have to do with the evil people you're trying to get to so you can transform your little furry buddy back into his even uglier human form? I don't really know, and after playing this game for a while, I don't even care.
Yes, the graphics are amazing and beautiful, but looks aren't everything. Especially in this game, where you go from one piece of land to another without even knowing you've moved into a new place. The problem with this is that the missions you have to complete are different depending on where you are. You could spend a long time searching for a mission without realizing you're not even in the place you're supposed to be looking for it.
In addition to this, you get three blocks of health to lose before you die. Unfortunately, it takes 50 little green things to fill up 1 block! What was Naughty Dog thinking when they came up with this health system?
However, some of the missions are fun, (although the races make me want to throw a brick through my tv screen) and exploring and collecting is a popular way to feel like you're progressing in a game. Also, Daxter happens to be adorable and pretty funny. It's worth a rent, try it out at least, and when you're bored of it, go for Jak 2.

I first thought this game would (...) compared to crash bandicoot, but I was wrong. This game has all the perfect materials for a platformer and gorgeous graphics with no load times. Coming out in December,it will perfectly fit in your Christmas list.
