I have to admit the game is hard. Most people are writeing stuff that isnt really true. The game has great grafics. The planes dont look like snap together models done by a four year old, compared to otherflight sims its a great game. Most of the reviewers that hate it probably are not good at it so they hate it. There are Gforces I like the game. If your good at flight sims you might like this game. Dont be fooled by the other reviews. Its a great game. Its worth the money.

I was happy with CFS but wanted better graphics. GFS3 has the graphics if you have the iron to run it. I like to fly and blow things up or shoot at other planes. To me the game is too realistic and even on the easiest settings, it isn't as much fun as the original or European Air War. I guess I will have to wait for CFS for Wimps.

To me if you are serious about sims and want a realistic experience, this is probably the one.

Pure Garbage, get CFS2!

No way near the quality and realism of CFS2. Feels more like an arcade game. I'm very disappointed.

this is the best game i have ever tested in my entier life. i really like it cause its got REALLY good graphics and sfx.

I recently purchased this flight sim (my first one) on the recommendation of a friend. It was easy to install. The updates were easily obtained and installed. It pretty much worked well right out of the box. I use a Logitech USB joystick. I learned the basics of flying and the commands to do so pretty quickly. We had to tweak our home routers a bit at first but after doing this, we have enjoyed playing MS Combat Flight sim over the internet together. Hours and Hours of great fun. I am going to purchase MSCFS 2 in the near future also.

I bought this game when all the reviews were were high but then all the reviews got worce so I started to wonder if I bought the right flight. when it came I tryed it but the grafics were horible and it went so slow it wasent funny but then I tryed it on another computer and it worked grate! the grafics were realy good and the game play was realy fun. if you want a realy good ww2 flight sim you should buy this

I have a 1 GHz system with a new 64 Mg Radeon video card and 512 mg memory Win98SE.
Once installed - 3rd try it wouldn't get past go. Locks up with the ol "invalid page fault yada yada yada" ... that Bill Crates MS has nothing to respond to.
Avoid this time consuming anger genrator. I will always stear clear of MS products - this was a gift and now its in the garbage where it
belongs. Dear Bill Gates - please secure this cd where the sun won't damage it beyond what I have done to it pretending it was your face.

Do not buy this game. The graphics are semi good. You have to press the number pad 2 key to view the instruments, and then they are too dim to read, not to mention being out of focus. The sky is so dark you can't see the other airplanes. The gun sights are off target. As you play, the program jerks and skips and eventually locks-up your computer. The only thing that will restart it is the main power switch. If you want a good program, get Combat Flight Simulator 2 WWII Pacific Theater.

I think the marketing folks at Microsoft rushed this one to market before it was ready. Like the others who rated it I too had it bring my fairly new computer to it's knees. It has less combat missions than any previous version (CFS1,CFS2). For the money, CFS1 is still the best. The great graphics came with CFS 2 along with less missions and bugs. This release is just too resource intensive and does not have enough missions to keep it interesting. I brought mine back to Costco for a refund after 2 days. Microsoft, next time take your time and do it right!
