The good things:
1.It has alot of infintry classes.
2.It has more planets than BattlefrontI.
3.You can fly in space where you can do dogfights, infoltrate the enemy capitle ship to sabatage it or take one of the enemy's starfighters, take control of a turant, and pilet 12 types of starfighters and 4 base starfighters whitch you can't do in battlefrontI.
4. There's a great story mode for the 501st that's chalenging.
5.you can play main charecters from the movies.
6.theres galactic conquest mode and instant action mode
the bad things:
1. the price is to high.
2.it doesn't have Bespin.
3.each planet has 1 part in battlefrontI each has 2
4.the main charecters that have guns are basicly suped up and/or hybrids of infintry types.
5.If you're looking for jedi action get starwars episode III the video game instead.

Just got this one the other day. I'm still getting used to the differences between it and the original battlefront, which was one of the finest games ever put on the market for PS2.
I like the following about this game:
1) You can play as Jedis/Siths at times during the game.
2) New battlefields that are pretty amazing.
3) Story line is better and Graphics are really good.
Quick note - You have to achieve objectives in single player instead of simply blasting away at the enemy. This takes some getting used to. Flying the fighters is tough. The game overall is tougher than the original.
Get it!
The Best Star Wars Game!

In this game, basically everthing from all of the Star Wars movies are made into a game. You battle in battlefields important to all of the movies, wether in space or on land. Plus, you can be your favorite characters like Luke Skywalker, the infamous Stormtroopers, and even in your favorite vihecles. There is just so much fun to this game. Even if you hate Star Wars, this would still be a great fighting game. Its the best Star Wars game on the market (way more fun than Lego Star Wars).

This game is awesome. I can explore all the fun of the movies and some battles not shown in the films. Be a sniper, be a pilot, anything! Instant action is the pinnacle of SWBII because you can play any battle and choose who to fight for. And there's different modes like CTF. My favorite things is 1 flag CTF on hoth. Anyway, this game rocks!
Any Better Than The Original?

The first Star Wars Battlefront was exceptionally good, but for whatever reason, it got old really fast, so you couldn't play it for longer than a half hour to an hour. Here's my review.
Graphics: 8/10. There is a slight improvement over the first game. The enviroments look a wee bit better, the characters do too, but there is not much different here. The overall look and feel of the game sticks to how Star Wars Battlefront was, so anyone who played the first one will easily be able to play this one, too.
Sound: 9/10. The sound is awesome with surround sound. Great Star Wars symphony beats during gameplay and at the menus, nice talking during gameplay by the characters such as "Get the Wookiee!" when your team is getting slaughtered by Wookiees to "What do you think you're doing?" When you "intentionally" or intentionally team kill. Great sound.
Control: 8.5/10. The control for this game is really, really easy when you have auto aim on. When it is off, though, it can be very difficult unless you are an avid 1st person or 3rd person player. It gets the job done.
Fun: 8/10. This game is better than the first in some ways, not in others. Strangely, you can't even prone in this game for whatever reason, which makes sniping hard to do unless you find a good spot in bushes or something. Of course, there are new levels, and space battles, but the space battles are fairly boring unless you have a friend to play with because they can take quite awhile ( I've played some 45 minute space battles. ) One big dissapointment about this game, though, was how there weren't more Star Wars Battlefront 1 maps in this game. There are maybe 5 at most, and it's kind of sad, because there were some really, really fun SWBF1 maps. SWBF2 has Hoth, Geonosis, Kashyyyk, (Which looks much different from the original game so it looks more like it did fromt he movie ), Endor, and Tatooine Mos Eisley. There is more, but I could only think of those. Another thing that this game features of course, is the new Jedi mode. You can play as a Jedi if you go on some sort of kill streak. This is fun, but really unfair to the other team because it is real mass murder. There is also a Career Stat Tracker, showing your kills, deaths, and awards. SWBF2 is an excellent Star Wars game, but doesn't do too much more than the original did. If you have the first, you may be skeptical about getting this one because it has a lot of the same stuff, but if you are a true fan, you will buy this one without a second thought.
8.4/10

It was always going to be hard for this game to match or better the first in the series, but I feel they have just managed to. Unlike Battlefront 1, this sequel's major selling point is that it allows you to experience warfare in the completely new environment of space.
Your spawn point is your capital ship's hanger where a variety of different space craft are landed. There are bombers like the Y-Wing and Tie Bomber, fighters like the X-Wing and Arc Fighter, and small interceptor craft such as the Droid Tri-Fighter and A-Wing.
You can choose to battle in space or infiltrate your enemy capital ship's hanger and plant devastating explosives. Either way the space battles are very good.
There is still many land battles to be fought however, and this game introduces several new land maps such as Jabba's Palace, Dagobath, Coruscant, Mustafar and many more as well as keeping some old classics like Hoth and Mos Eisley.
You can also play as your faction's heroes which is also a new feature. Hero units include Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Grevious, Darth Vader as well as a few more.
Overall, this game has many improvements over the last. Examples are the space combat, new maps and much better galactic conquest. However, some of the new maps lack places for sniping and there is less commands for you to give your men in battle.
This game does its prequel justice.
Insane!

This game is undeniable one of the best shooters outside Halo and deserves a lot more recognition then it got. It had some brilliant features, jaw-dropping graphics, and the best gameplay in a Star Wars game ever.
Pros: This game had a great point system that intensified gameplay and gave awards for being more than killer. It was brilliant in layout og the campaign and was flawless in the plethora of choices for Instant Action battles. It also had a space system which was intresting and fun. The gameplay flowed and there was an incredible rush whenever battle joined.
Cons: This game didn't have too many cons, beside not supporting multitap and and putting points in front of kills. My main beef is that the space battle is very linear and boarding your enemy isn't that good. You still have to bomb the bejeezus out the ship from space, and actually landing and fighting your way to the few systems inside the ship is exhaustive and tedious.
Otherwise, This was an excellent game and i Would recommend it to anyone.
Wow! This game is incredible!

Star Wars Battlefront II is without doubt the best Star Wars game made! With the jedi and the space battles this game is just about the best game I own. Graphics are awesome, gameplay off the hook, and even the storyline isn't too shabby. Here are some pros and cons.
PROS
Jedi gameplay is awesome
Space battles are very detailed and fun
Storyline is great
Expands on Battlefront
Overall gameplay is really awesome!!
CONS
Some of the problems from Battlefront are not fixed
Jedi battles CAN get a little repetitive
Even with these cons, Battlefront II is the best Star Wars game in history!!
A lot of fun...

I am typically a PC gamer and have had trouble, in the past, playing FPS games on a console game controller. This game has been such a blast to play with my son in splitscreen mode that I was able to work out my game controller issues fairly quickly and am now a lot better at moving and shooting at the same time using my left thumb to aim the gun. I like the way the training built up the complexity of the missions and I like how the individual missions have intermediate goals you can attain without having to solve the whole level at once. I also like the combination of infantry combat play and combat flying in some of the missions. I am enjoying it quite a bit!!
